Nice Little Home in Older Neighborhood
Nice little home in an older neighborhood. The home has been updated, dishes, pans, utensils, clean bedding and towels were provided. The home was clean overall. Check-in was easy as was the check-out process. The property owner communicated clearly about check-in and overall the home was as described. The home does have an older musty smell that is very strong and caused some respiratory issues for me. I wish I had known that ahead of reserving. Pest control arrived around 8am during our stay and we were not aware they were coming. I did not receive any notice from the property owner about pest control and we were expected to be out for at least an hour they were done. A bit awkward for me and the pest control service. The bed is extremely soft for those who prefer a more firm mattress. This is not a fault to the owner, but I wish I had known about the location safety ahead of time. I was not familiar with the area and did feel uncomfortable as the neighbors would let their dogs out and wouldn't come out themselves, but would peek through their windows. I did hear a neighbor threatening her children when outside. The police did frequent the neighborhood often during the stay and was at the next door neighbors for a long time one of the nights. The neighbors dogs barked alot day and night which made it difficult to get a good nights rest and agitated my dog. Being concerned about my dog barking it made for an uneasy and stressful situation.
