Cape Cod Cottage is a freshly renovated three-bedroom, two-bathroom home in the heart of Port A. Close to restaurants, shopping, entertaining and the beach, this is the perfect spot for your next vacation home! Perhaps best of all, there is a private pool for you and your guests to enjoy!

The living spaces were decorated in soothing coastal shades reminiscent of Cape Cod cottages. The kitchen is outfitted with quartz countertops and high-end appliances. It includes everything you’ll need to create culinary masterpieces for your family. Through French doors, you’ll find yourself in a comfortable living room with cozy furniture, a flat-screen TV and a fireplace to enjoy. The dining table seats four guests. Feel free to pack light as there’s a washer and dryer for your use while you’re here! Step onto the front porch and rock in the rocking chairs as you feel yourself relaxing!

The primary suite has a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom also boasts a queen-size bed. The third bedroom is a bunk room with twin-size bunk bed and an en-suite bathroom. For your comfort and convenience, there are cozy bathrobes for you and your guests.

The backyard has a nice in-ground swimming pool and a fire pit. There are even a set of bikes to pedal around the island. Easily walk right over to Beach Street and many of the island’s finest restaurants will be found right there from seafood to Mexican, barbecue to Cajun!

Break from the cold

The place is nice for the age, somewhat modern decor. The pots and pans are pretty old and the teflon peeling off. There were loads of drinking glasses, wine glasses but could have used some pot holders, kitchen towels and cloths hangers for the closets. The heat and cooling systems were very good.

Bathrooms are small

The parking is deceiving, there’s only room for 2 cars. One of the bathrooms is the size of a small closet. My ceiling fan made a terrible noise which was finally fixed by the 3rd night. It was pretty warm in the house without it. The house is close to the bars so you can hear booming until they close. The house is decorated cute. But the beds are really high. They need to work on the floor in the main bathroom as you can see the ground through a crack under the tub. Great location for ppl who want to party, not great for families.

Awesome house with a small pool.

We come to Port A every year, this will definitely be booked again it was perfect for the family. Right in the middle of town with easy access to all the restaurants beach and bars. Five stars!!

Great location!

My family and I had a wonderful time here. Exactly as advertised and other reviews are accurate. Brought the family dog with us on this trip and the yard was fenced in nicely. My kid had a blast in the pool which was well maintained. Within walking distance to restaurants and gift shops. Also a very short drive to the beach. Little things could probably use a facelift, for example, the shower curtain, grill, and couch, but other than that this was really a lovely home. Would definitely stay again.

Could be so good but misses the mark

Pros: great location, pool is great, cute house, large washer and dryer Cons: the couch is covered in stains, the covers on the beds were not washed before we came, no plastic liners in the showers so the shower curtains get soaked, the charcoal grill has a hole in the bottom and it’s in rough shape, and the like the other reviewer mentioned the dishwasher was broken.

Cape Cod Cottage Cute

The Cape Cod Cottage was exactly as described in the listing It was clean,the beds were comfy,linens and towels were nice.The pool was clean,the area around the pool was clean,safe,well lit for night swimming.The location of the house was close to everything,yet on a quiet street.Check in was easy,communication with the management company was seamless and easy.Theres only three things that could be better. ..Hand soap in the kitchen and bathroom,one more kitchen towel would be helpful,and the listing shows two lounge chairs,a beverage cooler and a green grille by the pool that were not there. Overall,we had a nice mid spring getaway to beautiful Port Aransas!

Family vacation

My family and I go to port A every year, multiple times during summer. We always stay in a house. We usually spend a week at a time. I have paid the same price for a much better place. First off Wi-Fi didn’t work, called and they gave me the run around, usually this is no big deal, however I had to work this vacation and required internet. Second, place was very run down and not very clean. Third, it had multiple bugs. Now, I’m okay with an occasional bug, however it was nightly and daily. Imbedded into toilet paper. Pool was very nice. This was the saving Grace. I just feel for the price we paid here and other places, other places were much nicer. this will be one we would not rent again. The company however, owns multiple places and I would rent from them again, just not this house.

Empty Promises

Location was great but the home and management company were very underwhelming. Before our arrival, we made sure to call and confirm that there would be a grill and lounge chairs by the pool. These were confirmed. Upon arrival, check in was easy. Without inspection, home looked clean and pleasant. When you stop and really take a look, the ivory couch had a lot of black stains on it, pillows that didn’t fit across the back. Food and crumbs left on floor. Bedroom light and fan did not work, therefore leaving only a lamp and poor ac ventilation. Shudder broke. Internet was down which meant TV was down. Had also noticed that indeed there were no lounge chairs. Here is where I first called the Management co at 4:10pm about all. They were confused about the chairs and said they would call back in a bit. They did not. Called at 5pm and got answering service who said they would call back that evening with update, again did not. Next day around 10am they called and sent someone to fix internet. We were out of luck with chairs and everything else. Later that evening found out the dishwasher was also broke and the grill that they confirmed had a massive hole at the bottom of it. It’s clear they don’t check on their properties. They sent a repair guy and could not fix the washer, having to wash all dishes by hand for a family of 5 and guests for 5 days. No follow up or apology for any of it. Worst rental by far and same with company. Do not stay here or anywhere they have homes.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived in Port Aransas to the Cape Cod Cottage and realized pretty quick that this was not a literal term. The Pool was dirty. The house is quite small, it says it sleeps six. We have 4 and were a bit crowded. There are only 2 bathrooms, one of which used to be a closet and is extremely small. The refrigerator freezer handle was broken when we arrived. (Which they fixed when I called them). The pool was filthy, I told them on check in and thought they would send a pool guy out at least by Monday (We checked in Saturday Afternoon). We left for the entire day on Monday so the pool could be cleaned. When we got back, it was not, I hade to call again on Tuesday to get it done. Even though the contract says that if the grill is left dirty you pay $25. We found two extremely filthy grills, one charcoal, one gas. The gas grill had no gas and was GROSS. The Charcoal Grill was in such bad shape we would not consider using it. So we bought a disposable grill to use and left it there. The contract also says you have to fill the Golf Cart with Gas - we found it 3/4 full but left it full. We made the best of this, but will not return to this property.

Cape Cod Cottage

Our stay was exactly what we needed. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The yard is perfect and secure for dogs. There are only 2 things that were a little disappointing... 1) the bathrooms are extremely small and outdated, but workable. 2) the listing states that the pool is heated, but it isn't. I would also suggest maybe some paperwork that has directions for operating the tv. We had one issue with the door code and a problem with the golf cart, but each item was resolve within just a few minutes. The people at Silver Sands are extremely accommodating, friendly and helpful. They truly care about you. All in all, we would stay here again.

Relaxing anniversary getaway!

The size and the decor of the entire cottage and the size of the bedrooms, living room, and kitchen were great. The private pool was awesome! Location was terrific! Bathrooms were okay, the second one way too small for adults. Having the washer and dryer was nice, there were tons of glassware and coffee mugs, and there was a Keurig but no pods for it or sugar and creamer. We definitely appreciated having the golf cart. Owners went above and beyond by helping to get flowers and wine prearranged, thank you very much!

We absolutely loved the property, the pool, and the golf cart! The house was pretty dirty though (especially the air vents), and there were a lot of broken items in the house (wire cable on front porch railing, door knob in Master is broken (the part was lying on the table in the room), and the side table is extremely unstable. The blinds in the master are also broken. Further, we almost had 2 accidents while in the home, due to faulty issues (with the home). The first was the giant pile of cords plugged into an extension cord near the fireplace. A little bit of water was on the tile near the cords. We quickly cleaned it up, but someone could have been electrocuted if they were in bare feet and the water touched the cords. Secondly, the white table in the Master bedroom with the lobster print (next to the bathroom) almost fell on our daughter. I accidentally dropped my hair tie, and I went to move the table to the side to retrieve it. When I did, both of the bottom legs fell off, as well as one door, and the table came crashing forward onto me, and almost on my daughter who was standing next to me. My daughter tried to get out to get help, but couldn't because the door handle wasn't attached on the inside of the door. She found it on the table and my husband came in. He put the legs back in, but the piece of furniture is still unstable as it faulty. Someone really needs to address these issues. We paid a lot of money to stay at this property, and feel these things should have been dealt with prior to our arrival. Thank you. Jennifer & Scott Hall

Location Perfect

The location can't be beat. Close to the beach, restaurants, the docks, and shopping. The kids in our group loved the pool. The bedrooms are on the small side, but who goes to Port Aransas to stay in bed? The house was well cared for, modernized, and had everything we needed.

The reason for the 3 star was due to there being small black sugar ants crawling on the dining table, along with the outlets in the kitchen to the right of the sink not working, and low water pressure in the main bathroom sink. I know that you're not able to control the internet, but there was no tv service until the morning we left.

Perfect location, nice accommodations

Everything was good. Very nice kitchen and dining area. Our only problem was with the front steps going into the house. They are pretty rickety and should be replaced. Other than that, it was a wonderful property. We enjoyed the back area around the pool and the rockers on the front porch. Very comfortable house and within walking distance to several good restaurants. We would certainly stay there again!

NOT CLEAN, and 2hr late check in.

The house was supposed to be ready at 4pm, cleaning crew did not arrive until 5pm and they were in and out in an hour. Not long enough to clean an entire house. Garbage was left under and behind furniture. Dog feces, trash and rusty nails in the back yard, grill was not clean, bikes were old, rusty and flat tires. Patio furniture was missing and/or broken. The door code did not work, we called they gave us a new code, that new code worked once and then not again. We had cockroaches, spiders and other creepy crawlers in the bedrooms. We had to take out an overflowing garbage can to the road, it seems like maintenance should have done that, not the new tenant. Property manager ignored all of our calls/messages. Grass and bushes were very overgrown, covering sidewalk. Freezer handle was broken and falling off. The house was cute and in a safe location, close to the beach. Golf cart was awesome and very fun, but the house needed a deep clean and we were expecting a 4pm check in - kids wanted to swim and parents were expecting to use kitchen to cook a meal. I hope to receive a phone call to address my dissatisfaction.

Great location and peaceful

Great place ! Could use some updates and this place would be the best! Outdoor seating area could of been nicer and more available chairs! Wish I would of know the pool wasn’t heated - to cold to even swim. Otherwise, Cute home and the golf cart was the best!!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of the cottage was perfect for our family. It was in town and close to the beach. We loved that it wasn’t near a bunch of other vacation rentals. We enjoyed the quiet instead of bunch of loud partiers. The cottage has all new appliances and was pretty. It could use some TLC but we were more than happy with our stay. The pool was awesome! Definitely makes the house worth it!!
