Home is where The Anchor drops, and you will feel at home in this renovated lakefront property, making it the perfect family retreat! If you have been looking for the ideal vacation home away from the hustle of traffic, then you are in luck! The Anchor is in a peaceful and remote section of the lake that will give you laid-back lake vibes all day.

On the main level, you will never have to worry about missing out on the fun with a beautiful open floor plan showcasing a well-equipped kitchen, dining room, and living room. Embrace the warm Southwest Virginian sunshine with the French doors coming off the dining room leading you outside onto the back deck. You have a fantastic view of the lake from the back porch, plenty of outdoor seating for the whole crew, and a picnic table. Sit back and relax in the living area in front of the TV. The main level has a laundry room.

You will find an additional living room decorated with a modern touch and a TV downstairs. The French doors off the living room open to an outdoor kick-back area with outdoor seating, a gas grill, and a porch swing facing gorgeous Smith Mountain Lake.

Four kayaks are provided for guest use. A special touch at The Anchor is the swing by the water's edge, looking out onto the lake. The gentle walkway through the backyard will lead you to the oversized dock with abundant space to tie up boats during your stay. If you are looking for the perfect sunset spot, head up to the party deck on the dock! There you will find a table with an umbrella and chairs, lounging chairs, and plenty of room for everyone to Anchor down and unwind.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles.

Please note: this home resides in a noise-sensitive area and the owners participate in our Good Neighbor protection program. Our smart home technology will alert our team if excessive decibel or occupancy levels are detected, allowing us to reach out directly with a reminder of maximum occupancy and quiet hours. This technology is privacy compliant, and only monitors the presence of decibels and devices-not any personal conversation or information. Thank you for supporting our efforts to be good neighbors!

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
