okay

the place was nice only thing that have made my stay horrible is that my family and i have been bitten up by bugs. the house is nice could have been cleaned a little better. i recommend for them to get the house fully cleaned and inspected. The lights flickered off and on all weekend and also the power outlets were going in and out all weekend. i do not recommend any bookings until the house is inspected.

Nice house

House was very spacious and lovely had a couple of hiccups but that’s typical for renting a house host was EXTREMELY quick to answer anything I needed. Overall nice house nice neighborhood

Work trip

Came for work trip chose this location due to the extra's the like the 3 in 1 table which was not set up and the In home theaters which was cool. We work over nights and didnt use anything but the kitchen beds and bathrooms.

Enjoyable

A few small changes could make this stay better. It would be helpful to list checkout policy upon checkout, but loved the easy checkout policy. It was comfortable and we enjoyed being close to downtown. A few small things need to be updated: There are not lightbulbs in all of the lamps and one remote requires new batteries. The kitchen requires some items to function. For example no mixing bowls or flat pans for the oven. Only four forks in the silverware drawer which required us to wash them every time they were used. The main bedroom requires a new mattress or new base boards as it sinks to the middle. We also ended up buying some pillows as the ones provided were not very thick.

Very disappointing

My family has used Vrbo for several vacation bookings. We actually were worried for our safety. The floors were sticky and the basement was nothing like the online photos. It actually had standing water in it. No toilet paper, trashbags, or pillow cases. It boasted fully stocked kitchen. There was nothing to bake with, 3 forks and all the cupboard doors were falling off. We found chicken in one of upon our arrival. We got there and the entire placed reeked of smoked weed!

The place was very nice

Our stay was very nice. The place was clean, fully furnished and decorated nicely. The location was ideal for the event we were attending over the weekend. However, the second floor was too warm. A ceiling fan would have been great for the bedrooms. My husband wanted to enjoy the pool table, however it was too small for him and the fellas. Otherwise, the Airbnb was really nice and cozy.

Misrepresented.

We came with a small group for a wedding. I set the search criteria for 2 bath plus and they SAID they were a 3 bath property. What they are is a 1 full bath and 2 half bath property. We were screwed when it came to showers and wedding prep. The pictures look good but most of the cupboard doors are not stable, the counters have issues, there was 1 spoon, 4 forks and knives. The washer bounced all over the place. To say the very least, we were underwhelmed. Biggest issue for me me is they flat out lied about the number of baths, full bath and half baths are well defined and they are in the real estate business, is it even legal to call a half bath a full bath?

During our stay, we encountered the following issues - There is a smoking room attached to the home in which the smoke smell lingers to the bedrooms and affected one of the guests allergies. - Kitchen countertop is being held together by tape - Futon couch in 4th bedroom is wrapped in duck tape at the top to close the hole - There are open exposed electrical outlets with wires hanging and no plates - Basement bathroom door is unlevel and gets stuck when opening or closing - Basement railing is hanging - Iron doesn’t work - Kitchen and basement floor were sticky bc the wrong cleaning products are being used - Clothes were left in the laundry room - Washing machine drum was rusted - Dishes were left in the dishwasher. - Food splashed on cabinets and handles I informed the host of these issues, that we were in town for my Gmom funeral and really needed a place we were comfortable staying at to grieve and this wasn’t the home. So the host wouldn’t have to fix all of these issues at the last minute and us have maintenance workers in and out of the home (the plumber had already been in the home) we agreed that we would cut our stay short, pay for an extra day as a sign of good measure and the host would refund for 3 days. The host changes our stay but also changes the nightly rate for nights paid 3x’s the amount agreed, leaving the balance for refunded nights lower. Trust me, this is not the type of person you want to do business with. Beware!

My husband and I took our 3 children ages 14 12 and 3 years old to Detroit for the weekend. My older boys brought along their 14 year old friend as well. There was plenty of space for all the children, they LOVED hanging out downstairs in the game room. Everything was very clean upon our arrival and we settled in quite comfortably. We really appreciated the quick communication from our host and frequent check ins to make sure we were comfortable and happy. We would definitely stay again if we retuen to the area for more weekends away!

Spacious and excellent location

We were visiting for a funeral. Every Place we went was less than 10 min away. Made our stay convenient. The house has 3 levels and so plenty of room to spread out and be comfortable. Beautiful living room was great for our family photo shoot. Dining room table was a perfect spot for good conversations and even those in the kitchen could join in.

Great stay!

A group of 4 of us were in Detroit for the International Marathon in October and this was a perfect stay for us! Had a slight issue with checking in, but the hosts were very quick to respond and had an alterative check in process for us. Plenty of room for all of us to spread out and relax. The location is great, just a short drive to downtown and very easy access to highways. Would definitely stay here again when traveling to Detroit! Thanks again!!

From 2013 I had to work out of town for weeks at a time. I had to rent rooms in private homes from people who had little experience or knowledge of what a business traveler required. Then in 2015, we sold our home and needed a place to stay for 3 weeks before we could move into our new home. With 3 kids of school age, staying in a hotel was not practical at all. Finding a place willing to rent an apartment turned out to be harder than I thought.
When we moved into our home with a huge unfinished basement, we created our first separate basement apartment and thus began our journey of Airbnb hosting.
Even though our personal experiences prepared us for what our guests might expect from a short stay apartment, over the years, we have learnt a lot from guests and really improved the service we provide to give them not just a place to stay but a happy experience.
We a provide accommodation in safe areas at affordable prices with amenities to suit travelers from different backgrounds for as short as a day or as long as several months.
