Welcome to Stone Ledge
This stylish and spacious contemporary mountain home is set on 20.5 private acres in the heart of the Catskills. Designed with clean lines, natural textures, and expansive views, Stone Ledge offers both comfort and seclusion. It's the perfect getaway for families, friends, or anyone seeking a peaceful, design-forward retreat.
Located just minutes from Plattekill Mountain and Belleayre Ski Center, wedding venues, hiking trails, and farm-to-table restaurants, this home is ideally situated for four-season adventures. One well-behaved dog is welcome with prior approval and a $200 pet fee.
Thoughtfully Designed for Mountain Living
Stone Ledge was intentionally built to highlight the stunning valley views and natural light. The home faces south and uses passive solar energy to stay warm in cooler months and cool in summer, with large windows that invite mountain breezes.
Stone walls on the property and within the home provide warmth and character—absorbing the sun’s heat by day and radiating it into the evening. These elements create a space that’s grounded in its landscape and always inviting.
Main Living Space
Enter through the side door into a bright and open entryway with coat closet and boot trays. There’s also a convenient half bath right at the entrance.
The main floor features an open-concept kitchen, dining room, living room, and TV lounge. Sliding doors open to both the back deck—with BBQ grill and dining area—and the spacious front porch, perfect for morning coffee or evening relaxation.
Sleeping Arrangements
Bedroom 1 (Main Floor): Double bed and closet (note: no full bath on this floor)
Bedroom 2 (Second Floor): Bunk bed with double on bottom, twin on top
Bedroom 3 (Second Floor): Queen bed
Bedroom 4 (Second Floor): Queen bed with en suite bathroom
Futon (Second Floor Mezzanine): Sleeps one
Outdoor Enjoyment
Surrounded by acres of forest, stone walls, and wild fields, Stone Ledge invites guests to explore the natural beauty right outside the door. Wander through the woods, forage for wild blueberries or apples, or simply relax on one of four decks and take in the view.
In winter, you can sled down the long driveway or build your own trail from the porch. Warm up by the fire pit with a mug of cocoa and enjoy the peace and quiet that makes this place so special.
A Personal Touch
The home was designed by the owner, a commercial interior architect and founder of a Boston-based firm specializing in award-winning sustainable buildings. Her clients include top institutions like Harvard, Yale, and MIT—and that same level of care and design is evident throughout Stone Ledge.
Other Notes
A Sovmiku CG6 2K solar security camera is installed at the front door and faces the driveway for safety. Guests have full access to the home and grounds, except for any locked closets or private areas.
Whether you're planning a ski trip, a summer escape, or a quiet long weekend, Stone Ledge delivers the perfect blend of style, comfort, and Catskills charm—all surrounded by nature’s best.
Before You Book – What to Know
We want your stay to be smooth, relaxing, and enjoyable. Please take a moment to review the following important notes before booking:
Quiet Hours & Neighbor Respect
We love our neighbors—and we know you will too! Please keep outdoor noise to a minimum after 9 PM, especially around the fire pit or deck.
Let’s help preserve the peacefulness that makes this community so special.
Check-In & Support
Check-in: After 4 PM
Check-out: By 11 AM
Early or late check-in may be available for an added fee with at least 24 hours’ notice. Same-day requests cannot be guaranteed due to cleaning schedules.
We’re available by phone or email if anything arises. This is a private home—not a hotel—so response times may vary slightly, but we’ll do our best to assist you promptly.
Important Travel Info
There is no cell service at the house. Please enable WiFi calling on your phone before arrival so you can make and receive calls over the internet.
We recommend saving or writing down key check-in details—such as the address, door code, WiFi info, and host contact numbers—in case you lose signal while traveling.
A vehicle is required to get around. There are no ride-share services (Uber/Lyft) or reliable taxis in this rural area.
Winter Travel Advisory (October–April)
Delaware County is mountainous and beautiful—especially in the winter—but snow and ice are common. Please plan accordingly.
We strongly recommend:
AWD, FWD, or 4WD vehicles
Winter or all-season tires with solid tread
Avoiding 2WD or RWD vehicles in snowy or icy conditions
The driveway is plowed and maintained in the winter. A shovel is provided to help you clear walkways if needed.
Country Living Note
This home is located in a rural, natural area. While the exterior is professionally treated, insects or mice may occasionally find their way inside—especially in cooler months when they seek warmth.
If you are especially sensitive to wildlife or critters, this may not be the best fit for your stay.
Water & Septic System
The home uses a private well and septic system, which is typical for this area. Please help us care for it by:
Conserving water during dry spells
Avoiding water games (sprinklers, kiddie pools, Slip ‘N Slides)
Only flushing toilet paper—no wipes, paper towels, or hygiene products
Misuse can lead to water shortages or costly repairs, and we appreciate your care and consideration.
Land Use
To maintain the safety, quiet, and natural beauty of the area, the following activities are not permitted on the property:
ATVs
Snowmobiles
Fireworks
Hunting
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
