We really enjoyed our week at the cabin. The cabin itself consists of one large open space on the first floor (kitchen, dining area, living/TV area, as well as a double bed), one bathroom on the first floor, and a large room on the second floor with 5 additional beds. It worked well for our family, but might not work as well for large groups who need more privacy (or groups with people who take a long time in the bathroom). The cabin was clean and well cared-for, and it included all the things we needed for a successful trip (a kitchen with lots of kitchenware, a nice charcoal grill, a nice deck with a patio dining set, and a fire pit). Additionally, when we had a question come up during our trip, the owner was responsive and helpful.
The cabin is conveniently located near a park with Lake Michigan access, so we walked over to the lake several times - to take a swim, to walk on the beach, or just to look at the sunset/stars. The cabin was also a great launching point for other nearby adventures (Manistee and Traverse City). And, in the evening, we all gathered around the fire for s'mores.
The cabin was the perfect place for our family to "get away from it all" and reconnect.
