Issues from the start - Would not recommend!
I booked Winding Waters for my husband’s birthday weekend, hoping for a special and relaxing 4-day getaway, but it turned into an absolute disaster. I wish I could post the photos but Vrbo doesn’t allow pics. I complained to Vrbo. Communication with the property manager, Caitlin, was unacceptable. 2 weeks prior to the stay, she didn’t respond until Vrbo had to step in, and I almost cancelled the reservation. Caitlin eventually gave me her cell number, but even then, I had to reach out multiple times, just 2 days before the stay, because she hadn’t sent the entry code or WiFi info. Finally heard from her after Vrbo’s intervention. When we arrived, things quickly deteriorated. The entry code didn’t work, so she gave us her personal code. Terrible odor, and many windows were painted shut. Others were broken or wouldn’t close properly due to wood rot, allowing bugs to enter. Dishwasher had dirty dishes, and guest WiFi didn’t work. Worse still, the listing promised the "entire estate," yet another couple was staying on-site—something that was never disclosed. My husband sent Caitlin photos of the issues. My husband fixed the dishwasher. Other issues…CO2 and smoke detectors constantly went off, pool and hot tub were unusable and heating didn’t work —the hot tub had broken bricks, and the pool pumps didn’t work. Grill dirty and cobwebs, and broken walkway lamps, wasp nest inside gas fire pit, and mice inside house…fireplaces and coffee makers didn’t work. Trash cans full garbage.
