Spectacular, secluded mountain top log cabin retreat on a fully fenced and gated 5+ acre avocado farm located just 7 miles from beaches and close to Surf Cup, Legoland, Safari Park, Disneyland, SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo, and other SoCal attractions.

Private and quiet but conveniently near all the best that Southern California has to offer. This 4 bedroom/3 bath home comes fully equipped with a gym, sauna, steam room, "spa-pool" (NOT heated), and separate hot tub. Great for family vacations. No events or unregistered guests are permitted.

The first floor is divided into 2 areas. On one side of the house, there are 2 bedrooms with a shared bath. This side of the house also has a sitting nook for watching TV or can be used as an office (equipped with a large desk and office chair).

On the other side of the first floor are a large open kitchen, dining area, and living area with an oversized sofa perfect for hanging out while playing shuffleboard or darts. The master bedroom with an en suite bath is just off the kitchen. The master also has a door to access the large wrap-around deck on the first floor.

The first-floor deck is equipped with a bbq, outdoor dining table, and lounge chairs for enjoying the view, reading, or summertime naps.

The second floor is made up of two lofted spaces connected by a hallway and a large bath. At the top of the stairs is a small deck perfect for viewing the sunset. The 1st lofted area is the common room for watching tv or playing games. The sofa pullout into a very comfortable bed. Through the hallway and past the bathroom is a lofted bedroom with 3 king beds, perfect for close friends or kids. This room also has a small balcony and is accessible by stairs.

The location offers breathtaking 270-degree views from the Pacific Ocean looking west to the mountains in the east.

The house was beautiful and spacious with so many amenities we didn't have time to enjoy them all on our short weekend trip. The house was perfect for us; allowing the teenagers to stay upstairs as a "hangout", and the adults to stay downstairs away from the giggling. It was the perfect holiday!

Peaceful Retreat
What an amazing stay! We were in the Delmar area for a National soccer tournament and chose this listing for the proximity to the venue, but also to provide us with a place each day to unwind and recharge. Fat Bottom Farm provided exactly what we wanted plus more! It was peaceful, tranquil, with the most beautiful sunsets. The host Benjamin was attentive and incredibly helpful going above and beyond for us the entire stay. We will be back!

The property offered enough amenities to keep us busy on our stay. The bathrooms were beautiful, kitchen offered all gadgets and dishes, and beds were super comfortable. There were a few TVs, but we only tuned in for an hour or so. Games kept us entertained, along with shuffle board table and pool table.

Plenty of things to do at the property for all ages. Games, pool, shuffleboard, darts, not to mention the pool. Outdoor space is very peaceful. Remote location, but fairly close to town to get supplies, or go to eat. All around a great place to relax, unwind and reconnect with family. We did have one small issue with the water (neighbor below cut the main line), the hosts got on the problem and their handyman had it fixed within a few hours. Not even long enough to be an inconvenience. Hadley came by and made sure we were ok, offered plenty of options in case it was prolonged. Overall great hosts, great property, great time had by all!

Amazing view just outside of town
This place is really cool! Communication from the host was excellent. We loved the view and the fact that this property was just outside of town. Lots of privacy! The house was stocked very well including condiments, extra batteries, coffee, multiple throw blankets on every couch, soap + shampoo in every bathroom and shower. Everything you'd need. Being able to pick fresh fruit in the yard was a great experience. Next time we're in San Diego, we will rent this property again.

This place and the host are amazing!! The house and the property is beautiful. The views from anywhere in the house is breathtaking. There was something for everyone to do from kids to adults. They have the big items there for you, but to me it was the little items that set them apart from others. It was nice that the host (Benjamin) was in contact as he said he would and also very on top of things even before we asked. IE: beach equipment, townies directions, and fresh fruits. Great spot
This place is out in the country and very private. Even though it is secluded, it is actually really close to lots of entertainment and attractions. The house has a big kitchen, and a couple big common areas, plus a huge back patio. It has breath taking views, and lots to do. Hot tub, gym, pool, cornhole, pool table, ping pong just to mention a few. It will easily handle a couple family’s. The owner was very accommodating and friendly. We will visit again.

The owners online pictures and description of their property are detailed and accurate of what we found in this property to be true. Just outstanding! Benjamin could not have been more accommodating…..I asked if there was an Espresso Coffe Pot and he said there wasn’t but he would buy one…and he did. We were 3 families and we all had our separate “quarters” giving us plenty of privacy. And there were games….so many games. Wonderful stay!
We had a fantastic stay! Benjamin and Hadley are great hosts, who were very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. The house itself is incredible, with breathtaking views and plenty of space. This is also a great house for kids, for it has a big upstairs area with a movie area, games, pool table, and a big bedroom with three beds. We didn't have that many people, but I could see how it would be ideal if a couple families wanted to share the rental. It was perfect for our vacation, and one of the best rentals we have ever booked!

What a property!
The property before even entering the house is absolutely stunning. The views are breathtaking from every angle. There are so many great amenities offered with the property, unfortunately, the California weather didn't cooperate for us so didn't get to spend as much time outside as we would have liked. The inside is gorgeous as well, 3 bedrooms on the main level and an upstairs that boasts a room with three large beds and a game room/family room and additional bathroom. The property managers were extremely responsive. The house was easy to check into and didn't lack any essential item. All bathrooms were stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Enough towels for everyone! We would love to stay here again if we head back to CA! Thank you for a great stay.

Perfect Family Weekend
What a wonderful weekend! This property was absolutely perfect for our family weekend. Fat Bottom Farm is beautiful from the moment the gate opens and to every aspect of the home. It is full of activities; it has a large dining room table to sit the whole family and has all the comforts of home plus so much more. Perfect Extra Long weekend getaway
We had a lovely stay at the fat bottom farm. From the drive up you definitely feel the “wow” moment. So much gratitude to have a house like this one open for us to enjoy. You couldn’t ask for a better view. The landscaping, cleanliness and details show how loved this magical place is. Our kids loved all the games and it was so nice to stay off screens and phones and just play together. We had planed to fill up the 3 day weekend with activities but after arrival we decided we’d rather slow down and spend more time at this gorgeous home. We loved the jacuzzi and hope that we can come back sometime in warmer months to enjoy the small pool. Our kids loved picking the mandarin oranges for an afternoon snack. The owners were available and very thoughtful. It was one of my favorite weekends we’ve had together. It was so quiet and amazing.
