Great location Huge house with plenty of room and beds. Great older home with character and charm. Candace the manage was a total sweetheart.

Things to know before renting

Overall property is as described. Home was built in 1920s and is in prime location for access to many LEX attractions. BUT it being near two hospitals on a main road in LEX has disadvantage of noise (emergency sirens all times of the day)as it appears sound insulation from outside creeps in rather easily making restful sleep difficult. Would like to see host increase pest control services more frequently as many bedrooms had bugs. Only one entry way is a safety concern as one of the gaming tables blocks front entrance. Not recommended for those with mobility issues or physical handicaps. Only one sleeping area was accessible without the use of stairs. Stairs into the property are large and may be difficult to manage since no handrail is present. One section of property with two bedrooms did not have a smoke detector as bare wires were hanging. Transition thresholds were a tripping hazard in two downstair areas of home. Kitchen is stocked well for a VRBO but its size was much smaller than expected. Beds were comfortable and all linens were clean.

Great!

We came for a horse filled week! Farm tours, Keeneland, KY Horse Park & the 3DE. The location was great. The beds were all super comfortable. Nice to have some space so we weren’t all on top of each other like previous places we’ve stayed. I would recommend ear plugs or headphones is you are a super light sleeper because there was some traffic noise but nothing crazy. I am from the middle of no where so any traffic sounds wake me up. I put ear plugs in and slept great!!

Getaway at UK review

House is beautiful and in a great location. The 3rd floor steps are very steep. Beds are comfortable and plenty of them. It is an older house so it doesn’t stay as warm in some areas but this wasn’t a big issue. I did not enjoy the check in experience. The company will pester you what seems like weekly for more and more information. They Also met me at the property and asked for an id while I was unpacking. I know life these days are different and they are simply trying to protect your property. I just personally did not enjoy all the processes it took to check in. I would definitely stay at the property again. It was beautiful and has plenty of places to sleep. I give it a 78/100.

Deceiving Photos from 20 Years Ago

This house is very run down and outdated. It has tripping hazard doorways (some were not even finished), filthy carpet, dirty floors, dead bugs lying around, trash left behind, bathrooms that some couldn't even use due to their size, door knobs falling off in our hands, and a basement that looked like a scene from a horror movie. We made the best of it since we had driven and flown in from 5 different states and had looked forward to this for a year, but the truth needs to be told about this house. A house that sleeps 25 and only has 12 towels?? NO rugs or bath mats to step out of the shower onto, "Basic" kitchen items means, no collander, larger baking/cooking dishes and not even a pasta server. However, there was a cabinet with about 75 shot glasses in it. We had to go buy towels (or stay there doing laundry instead of out and about enjoying the area) and also had to buy some kitchen items. The back area to gather as a group was in the driveway. We had to ask for chairs to sit in, and also for box fans as the house is not regulated at all with the air flow. We were either sweating or freezing. This house is on a main road near a fire station and hospital, so the sounds of sirens never ended. All VERY disappointing and this house should NEVER be listed as an "Estate". It has made me steer away from any VRBO rentals going forward, as well as the other 20 women who attended this gathering. We will find other methods of traveling for our annual Girl's Trips from now on.

Bachelor Party

The house was perfect for a bachelor party. Plenty of room to sleep 14 guys with beds left over and the pool table, foosball, and ping pong table made it amazing. The location was great with good food across the street and a gas station across the street. They even set up the bourbon tour which was great.

Lexington getaway

We spent the week with our extended family. The location was close to everything. We also enjoyed the backyard with basketball hoop. We could walk to restaurants and bakeries. We had plenty of space for the family to hang out, enjoying playing, pool and fooseball. John was very helpful and easy to get ahold of during our stay!

Great stay

The property was great and had amenities like a fire pit but also on a busy street on one side and tucked into a less busy neighborhood for nice dog walks. The appliances were great the house was a bit old and creaky and you could hear the ambulances since we were near UK- but that’s not anyone’s fault. We also were about 15 min-1.5 hour from popular bourbon trail spots

Great place for a large group. Plenty of beds and accommodation were perfect!

Plenty of space and the yard area was fantastic for our door activities! Very close to everything! John went out if his way to make sure we had a good time!
