Hale Pali (Cliff House) ist ein spektakuläres (Nichtraucher-) OCEANFRONT-Haus mit Blick auf den blauen Pazifik. Wir sind mit unseren Gästen einverstanden, die begeistert gesagt haben: "Es gibt nichts Vergleichbares, als auf dem Wasser zu sein" - wie könnte man den Klang der Wellen und den Geruch der Seeluft besser genießen.

Das Haus ist wunderschön und geschmackvoll eingerichtet und verfügt über Teakholzmöbel.

Sie werden es lieben, in der komplett ausgestatteten, von Rick Hartman entworfenen Gourmetküche zu kochen.

Sie können sich kühl halten, indem Sie ein Bad in unserem 3.000 Gallonen großen natürlichen (unbeheizten) Pool nehmen oder einfach nur entspannen, während Sie sich an unserem kleinen privaten weißen Sandstrand ausruhen und sonnen. Sie können sich auch bequem auf der Veranda zurücklehnen unserer schattigen Hängematte.

Ein perfekter Tag beginnt, wenn Sie auf dem Deich sitzen, an Kona Coffee nippen und auf das Meer blicken. Sie werden begeistert sein von dem spektakulären „Blow-Hole“, das die OCEANFRONT-Pracht unseres Hauses am Meer noch verstärkt.

Wenn Sie auf der Suche nach Entspannung abseits der Touristenpfade sind. Wir denken, dass die Gelassenheit, die Sie hier finden, die 45-minütige Fahrt südlich von Kona Village sehr lohnenswert macht.

Über die Eigentümer: Carl und Deborah leben seit fast 40 Jahren hier auf der Big Island und wohnen auf einer 8 1/2 Morgen großen Farm, nur 15 Minuten bergauf vom Beach House entfernt. Beide sind nach über 30-jähriger Karriere pensionierte Schulberater und San Francisco State Alum, die aus der Bay Area hierher gezogen sind.

Hale Pali ist seit 2006 ununterbrochen in Betrieb und Carl & Deb sagen, dass ihr Lieblingsteil am Besitz von Hale Pali darin besteht, Gäste aus allen Teilen der Welt zu treffen.

Relaxing

This house was so beautiful and the view was amazing! You do have to go down a very narrow steep road with switchbacks. It is also an hour or more away from any excursions you may be planning. There is a cute beach within 40 mins with great snorkeling . The house looks just like the pictures no surprises. The owners were very accommodating and easy to reach if need. Would recommend staying here.

Just Wonderful!

so beautiful so relaxing- one of the best places we have ever stayed. on the water, gorgeous views and sunsets. home is so well appointed and there are so many “spaces” to be - inside and out. fantastic kitchen, comfortable beds, just beautiful and high end. stars at night are unbelievable. hosts are the absolute best. would stay again and again and again.

Loved it!

We have rented properties around the world and this is a new favorite. It’s out of town, but not so far that you can’t easily get to local attractions. Very clean well appointed kitchen and home. The private beach area and pool were fantastic. Very responsive hosts and we highly recommend this home.

A Slice Of Hawaiian Heaven

The owners felt more like family than "just someone renting a vacation home". The location was exactly what we were looking for. Comfortable Exciting. Sometimes a bit thrilling! The music was playing when we arrived. We felt so welcome. The beds were comfy and the sofa was inviting but nothing (even the pictures) quite prepared us for the view. We saw dolphins, flying fish, whales, a turtle, pretty fish , and a shark! Lots of boating activity to watch as well as canoers and swimmers, and even divers.This is truly a cooker's kitchen! Lots of ways to make your stay a foodie feast. We were thrilled by high surf conditions so the blowhole was blowing! The natural pool is a great way cool off on a sunny afternoon. Plenty of seating options and umbrellas. We might have spent most of our time on the spacious lanai, soaking in the scenery and sunsets. Be careful though! Passion flowers are blooming and they are too pretty to step on! We spent a week up in town, and as nice and fun as that is, we were ready for some peace and quiet, sounds of the birds and the surf, and cold mai tais out in the lounge chairs. Bring your binoculars!!! There's a lot going on out in the ocean, and if you luck out and are there during whale season, you won't be disappointed. We absolutely loved Hale Pali, and hope to return!

This is the perfect place to stay if you want a nice, peaceful place away from the hustle and bustle. Fabulous home in South Hawaii

The home and hosts were great! The house sits on the cliffs above the ocean and the owners have created a beach setting in their yard. At first we were a little concerned about the remoteness of the home but we knew that was part of the deal. Ultimately, we decided that the location was fabulous for exploring the southern end of the big island and the setting on the cliff was amazing! We went to all sorts of places that in the past had seemed too far to go when we were based in Kona. Kīlauea, Green Sand Beach, Black Sand Beach, Ho’okena Beach, hiking in Volcanoes National Park, and more. The hosts had all kinds of books about things to do on the big island and a notebook w their recommendations, which was super helpful! (Side note- guide books state that you can rent snorkel gear at Ho’okena Beach but that was shut down during Covid. We were told that they hope to start it up again but don’t know when that will happen. Get to the beach early if you want parking.)Overall, we highly recommend this home, especially if you want to “get away from it all” and/or explore the southern end of the big island.

Beautiful home in a relaxing oceanfront setting

This spacious 3 bedroom home was very comfortable for my husband, my daughter, my mother and I to relax and enjoy. Whether we were lounging in the hammock watching the sunset on the back porch or inside watching the Olympics on the big screen tv this house had something for everyone. Great for families! Beautiful, peaceful home on the cliff

This was our third trip to Miloli'i and Hale Pali did not disappoint. It was so easy to relax and forget about our worries. The house is beautiful with a well-stocked kitchen you can entertain in. We especially loved the large lanai and grounds overlooking the cliffs, they were the perfect spot to view the spectacular sunsets. It was also really nice to take a dip in the natural pool when we needed to cool off. Carl and Deb, it was lovely meeting you, we can't wait to come back. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Amazing!

We had the most wonderful 10-day stay. Communication with the owners was spot on and more than we expected. They offered assistance at every turn. The house is large and as close to the ocean as possible. The outdoor space was overwhelming and offered the opportunity to fish right from our backyard, and float in our own private little natural saltwater pool. Relax in various loungers, dining areas, bar stools, and even our own sandy beach. Sweeping views up and down the coastline. Spectacular!! Treat yourself and stay here. It is remote and the drive down to the house should be considered, however, the location was one of our favorite things about the house. You are way off the beaten path. Can’t wait to stay here again.

Fantastic visit!!

Our family spent a glorious week in this comfortable oasis! The view was magical, the house was well-stocked and the owners thought through everything to ensure a relaxed, enjoyable experience. The location is somewhat remote, which gave us a unique opportunity to explore beaches that aren't on the tourist track (and we won't say where they are to keep the serenity and local spirit intact). Paradise - a hui hou kākou

I don’t even know where to start. We had an amazing stay at this beautiful property. The home and description are exactly as pictured (even better in person). The views from everywhere in the house are stunning. We loved watching the waves crash on the coast and come up through the blowhole. The views are breathtaking. The private beach area and pool were fantastic. I felt like I was at a 5 star resort the entire time (only better). We really enjoyed being able to cool off in the salt water pool. I will not forget the beautiful sunsets. We had an extraordinary time. The kitchen was well-equipped and spacious, perfect for cooking and preparing meals. The home and beds are very comfortable. Loved the evening listening to the whales breaching the water which was incredible. The highlight of the trip was meeting Carl and Debbie who are both wonderful. We feel like we have new life long friends. We are already planning to return in 2026 to attend their Christmas Eve party and hope to meet up with them when they visit California. This is a peaceful slice of heaven. Paradise. Counting the days until we can return.

A slice of paradise

Wow, the house was located smack on the water, the sunsets were stunning, it felt like a slice of paradise. The quiet location was a great "de-stressing" get-away for all of us. Spacious, clean and well stocked, it felt like home the minute we walked in. Carl and Deb were great hosts!

My family of 5 travelled from Nashville, TN to stay at this wonderful home for a week. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy all of the sights and sounds of the big island. You can't find sunset views more gorgeous than those from the lanai of Hale Pali. Thank you Carl and Deb!

Oceanfront Dreamhouse

I want to be very clear about this...Reviews are typically sort of "pass/fail." Anything less than 5 stars is a "fail." In this case, the property is an EMPHATIC 5 stars! The home is exactly as pictured. Watching the waves crash on the volcanic coast and come up through the blowhole on the property was mesmerizing. The hosts communicate well. We arrived to a home with Hawaiian music playing and lights on as we arrived at dusk. Really nice touch. Now, also be aware that this property is remote, so if you want to be in town and close to restaurants, etc, this is not the place for you. Be sure to locate it on a map before you commit to be sure it will meet your demands. It greatly exceeded ours! This is a peaceful slice of heaven. Be sure to hike down the coastline which is all lava and provides never ending variations in the ways in which the waves crash into the rocks. Kudos to Carl and Debbie who are true 5 star hosts.

Fabulous Holiday Stay

Amazing stay here….. enjoyed lots of family time. Hosts were lovely, too, and checked on us throughout our stay. I have already told friends about this amazing place….. do not hesitate to book it. Carl and Deborah Ramsey have resided on the Big Island for more than 40 years. They are San Francisco State Alum and moved to the islands from the Bay Area. Carl and Deb are retired after many years of rewarding work counseling in the Hawaii Island public school system (who ever thought up the idea of RETIREMENT sure knew what they were doing!)
Their residence is an 8 1/2 acre farm just up the mountainside from the beach house. Although the crops are not extensive, Deborah does grow some Kona Coffee.

Meeting fascinating guests from all around the planet is the best part of owning and operating Hale Pali, they say. Please come and join them along the beautiful and peaceful south kona coast.
