Beach Front Condo

This lovely, direct beachfront condo has 2 bedrooms and is on the 6th floor. The entire unit has been refurnished and professionally decorated in a tasteful beach theme designed to maximize the ambiance of the incredible beach view. TVs in each bedroom and living room. Master bedroom has a king bed with a new pillow-top mattress with memory foam. The second bedroom has a full bed with a soft pillow-top Sealy-Posturepedic mattress. The living room includes a Queen sleeper sofa, bringing the sleeping capacity to 4. The master bath features a whirlpool tub and shower. The second bathroom has a porcelain tub and shower. Other amenities include a washer/dryer and free WiFi. Of course, the best amenity is the magnificent gulf view. NO SMOKING, NO PETS.

Great stay

Beach view was beautiful, owner very friendly and helpful. Only surprise for us was that beach and pool access required wristbands that were not included and they are $15 each. But would stay at this property again.

Decent but listing page needs more info

The condo was decent but the listing did not mention anything about having to pay $65 for parking and pool passes. Also there’s no mention of having to pay for chairs and umbrellas. Please update the listing for future guests.

Short stay

Location great and our host was very nice through text and responded quickly. Cleaning of condo could be better. Towels had stains on them, remotes were dirty and needed new batteries, and floor was dirty.

Condo needs upgrading

We loved Destin! The view from the balcony was breathtaking every single day even if it was cloudy and windy. The condo was just the right size for us. The king size mattress was “tired.” Uncomfortable. Noisy. The master bathroom fan did not work. There is no storage in the master bath for any makeup or personal items. Maybe a small, taller shelf would be nice. The dryer was very noisy. And the wall plug-ins in the living room were loose so unable to use. The kitchen was perfect. I had everything I needed to prepare a couple meals. Thank you for a nice time on our first retirement visit and stay in Destin. We will be back!

Can’t beat location

Perfect space for a small family. The location was perfect as we didn’t have far to tote our belongings. Host was great and easy to get in touch with. Resort itself is a bit strict (no personal umbrellas or beach tents, no drinks within 4 feet of pool.

Best place to stay

Hands down this place was awesome from the moment we walked in. The cleanliness was perfection. The view was spectacular words can’t even describe it. The listing was accurate to the T!!! I highly recommend this place. The owner was very helpful and responded fast. We definitely will stay here again. We did not want to leave. The beach was just a few short steps away which helped with a toddler. You have everything you need in this condo!!

Relaxing

The trip was very relaxing and fun. The weather was awesome (hot)! The property was nice and comfortable. Good places to eat and shop nearby. Absolutely loved the beach and clear, beautiful water. The complimentary umbrella and chairs made it special. The kitchen needed some sharp knives but everything else was great!

Wonderful Stay

The accommodation was as advertised. There was one hiccup on the online registration form. The condo advertised as sleeps five but when filling out the registration form it only allowed four pool pass bands. The owner of this condo was very accommodating taking my calls. I would recommend this condo to anyone. Thank you for a great stay.

FANTASTIC VIEWS OF THE GULF!!!

This is a beautiful condo and resort! It was perfect for the 3 of us. The view from the balcony is the best! We saw dolphins every day, morning & night. Plenty of space in the kitchen & living area. Having our own laundry was a huge plus coming back from the beach every day. The bedrooms & bathrooms are towards the front of the condo which was nice as well. The second bedroom is very small but still worked for us. There is a bit of noise from the road at night but we always bring fans with us so it was not an issue. Kanchhi is wonderful to work with & is very responsive! We had a couple issues upon checking in but the maintenance staff at Sterling Sands was fast to respond & so was the Kanchhi. Everything was taken care of and we enjoyed the rest of our stay with no issues. The resort itself is fantastic! 2 elevators, heated pool, hot tub, grills, fitness center & 2 points of access for the beach. The resort is gated from the beach and parking lot which was a plus. They give you a code at check in to access the area. Also note, at check in you will be charged $10 plus tax per person over the age of five for wrist bands to access the beach/pool area & for parking. This is for your entire stay not per night. It is a private beach & is surrounded by other private beaches so it is less crowded. We enjoyed the beach & heated pool every day. They do have showers & sprayers at both gates off the beach to rise off all the sand which was very nice. Thank you & will be back soon!!!

Absolutely wonderful Condo and so much more

I have nothing but good things to say about this condo. Owner - The owner was easy to work with and extremely responsive. Any questions I had were answered within minutes. This was very comforting and reassured me I would not have any issues during the stay. Unit- The unit was very clean. Exactly as advertised in the description and pictures. My family of 4 fit perfectly in the unit and had plenty of space. The condo being on the six floor was never a problem. We were able to get the elevator up/down with never really waiting at all. The balcony view is worth the price of admission. We spent many mornings and evenings enjoying the view and spotting dolphins swimming the shoreline multiple mornings. Property - Sterling Sands as a property was the icing on the cake. Everything was well maintained and clean. The pool/hot tub was really nice and big. Allowed for our kids to spend time there when we had our fill of the beach. Being able to access the beach was extremely easy and convenient (two different walkways). Just steps away from the pool area and there are hoses for use that make cleaning off all the collected sand very convenient. The availability of 3 separate gas grills was nice too. We did not use them but say it being used quite a bit. My wife used the fitness center every day and was happy with having that so accessible. You did need to use gate codes to get into the pool area, fitness center, and then back onto the property when coming back from the beach, but I appreciated that because we knew that the property was secure and could only be used by people who were staying there. Having on-site security was a plus too. Best for last. As part of the unit we were guaranteed two beach chairs and an umbrella. This was a game changer as we never had to worry about having a spot on the beach. The property is surrounded by other condos, so no public beach access in site, which made the beach not crowded at all and feel very exclusive. Location - Sterling Sands is perfectly situated along the beach front within Destin. You are minutes from so many shops, restaurants, grocery stores, and other activities. A lot is even walkable . The Back Porch restaurant (great ocean view seating), is a 10 minute walk from the beach. I can't say enough good things about our visit. I highly recommend this to anyone thinking about a beach vacation in the Florida Panhandle.
