Beautiful home in Hanover Beach Colony. Primary bedroom has king bed, ocean view from room/balcony & dual-monitor workspace. Bdrm 2 has queen bed & workspace. Bdrm 3 has twin over full bunk bed & trundle. Kitchen has Thermador appliances & farmhouse sink. 85” TV. Heated pool/hot tub. 5 min walk to beach w/ great surf & festive Camp Store w/ live music. Backyard w/ firepit, dining table & heated shower. Beach accessible w/out crossing railroad tracks, which are behind the property.

---The Space
This home has everything you’ll need for a comfortable summer by the beach! It was remodeled in 2022. You will have exclusive use of the 2,142 sq ft. home during your stay.

We regularly rent out this home during summers; no reviews appear here because we typically use a different platform.

The home is located within a 5-minute walk from the beach, and has a heated community pool and hot tub nearby.

Ocean view from the primary bedroom, as well as from its balcony with deck chairs.

All bedrooms are move-in ready with nice linens and down comforters.

Home has central air conditioning and heating, ceiling fans, and dual-paned windows.

Hallway linen closet is full of bath and beach towels for your use, extra blankets, and board games.

Children’s bedroom has a twin over full bunk bed with trundle. The bed comfortably sleeps adults.

Kitchen has Thermador appliances and a farmhouse sink. It is fully equipped to prepare and serve meals. We are happy to leave our spices and pantry items if you’d like.

Family room has 85" Samsung 4K TV and soundbar.

Alcove in primary bedroom has dual-monitor workstation with ergonomic keyboard, high-speed internet, laser jet printer, and Herman Miller chair. Just bring your laptop!

Laundry room has a washer and dryer ready for your use.

Garage has bikes, surfboards, bodyboards, beach chairs/umbrella, wagon, beach toys, snorkeling gear, and tennis rackets for your use.

Rinse off at the heated outdoor shower in the backyard after returning from the beach.

The primary and guest bathrooms upstairs have bathtubs and showers.

Backyard has a gas firepit and furniture including outdoor dining table with sunshade.

The beach is accessible without crossing the railroad tracks, which are behind the property.

---Guest Access
You will have full access to the property, with the exception of: a closet attached to the laundry room and the closet in the bedroom 3. The closet and dressers in the primary bedroom will be empty and available for your use. The closet in bedroom 2 will be empty. The closet and the two dressers in bedroom 3 will be full of our kids' items.

---Other Details to Note
Hanover Beach Colony requires all stays to be at least 30 days.

We will have items stored in the garage. You will have access to the garage to park one car and to use our bikes, surfboards, bodyboards, beach chairs/umbrella, wagon, beach toys, snorkeling gear, and tennis rackets. The long 56' private driveway also fits 3-4 cars.

You will be provided a card to access the nearby community pool and hot tub.

You will not have access to the keyed mailbox, so please use carriers that will deliver to the door.

As is common with VRBO, we will ask you to sign a rental agreement after booking. The rental amount covers utilities, but you will be charged for electricity/gas usage that exceeds $500/month (neither we nor our past guests have exceeded this amount).

---Neighborhood description
Our home is in Hanover Beach Colony, a family-friendly neighborhood. During the summer, Hanover has fun family activities, including a huge 4th of July block party/parade and outdoor movie screenings. Hanover has a community pool, hot tub and playground.

Within a 5-minute walk, you can have your feet in the sand at an excellent surf break, enjoy live music overlooking the sunset at the festive Camp Store, or partake in the restaurant and bar at Cape Rey Hotel.

Within a 10-minute drive, you can be at Legoland or the shops, restaurants and bars of downtown Encinitas or Carlsbad Village.

The Coaster's Poinsettia Station is a 10-minute walk away, which can take you by commuter rail to other beach towns in North County, or to downtown San Diego and other stops such as Old Town.

Poinsettia Park is a 7-minute drive away, with a large new playground and various courts for tennis, pickleball and basketball.
