This luxurious two-level villa is located at the 600 foot level on Bordeaux Mountain, offering spectacular views of Coral Bay and the British Virgin Islands.

This magnificent three bedrooms, three bath villa is air conditioned in all three bedrooms. There are covered verandas on both upper and lower levels.

The villa offers free WiFi and Internet TV . The gourmet kitchen offers stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, and cherry wood cabinets and all the conveniences of home.

The space
Outside you can enjoy the cool sea breezes year round on the pool deck, which is furnished with chaises and chairs. There is a 42 foot pool to enjoy after a day at the beach. The beautiful north shore beaches (Maho Bay, Hawks Nest, Trunk Bay, etc.) are an easy 15 minute ride from the villa, as are the South Shore beaches (Salt Pond Bay) and the East End (Haulover, Round Bay).

Wake up each morning to stunning sunrises as you enjoy your coffee on either of two expansive balconies. There is nothing like enjoying a candle lit dinner and glass of wine on the veranda overlooking the breathtaking views of the Caribbean. It certainly feels like you are suspended on a cloud! Relax, enjoy, and unwind in your “home away from home”.

Inside, enjoy comfortable furnishings and cool terrazzo floors as you gather with family and friends in the living room and gourmet kitchen, which is outfitted with stainless steel appliances, granite counters, and all the tools you'll need to create memorable meals. A Weber grill is available outside.

Each bedroom has its own en-suite full bathroom, and each offers access to verandas and views. Bedrooms have air conditioning available, as well as cooling breezes. One bedroom is equipped with desk, ergonomic chair, and surge protector.

Recommendations: The property is on Bordeaux Mountain and all guests should have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Our property manager will meet you at the ferry dock to guide you to our villa.

Please note that Hurricane Season runs from June through November; if you book during that period, please purchase travel insurance, as refunds will not be available due to weather.

They named it right!

The view, the atmosphere, it truly is almost heaven. For our family of 6 adults, the layout and amenities were great. Now the beaches on St. John’s are the best in the Caribbean in my opinion. The only downside some might find would be the drive in and out. I found it fun and challenging, others might be a bit intimidated. It is a pretty steep drive.

Gorgeous View, Lovely-Appointed Villa

Our family was in St John for a quick stay to attend a family friend’s wedding. This was our 6th time to the island and we prefer the quiet of Coral Bay and nothing beats the view of the bay from above. Almost Heaven is a great name for this villa. Amazing views, spacious, balconies for sunrises and sunsets, big pool and loungers, comfortable, spacious bedrooms and each with its own bath. Your choice to sleep with the a/c or the sea breezes. If you’re unfamiliar with the twists, turns and inclines of the roads, be prepared - you’ll need an all-wheel drive to get to paradise. The check-in process with the person who was supposed to meet us was not a smooth one. But that was the only downside to an otherwise fabulous location. Great restaurants down the hill, Skinny Legs within 6 minutes and Miss Lucy’s 10 minutes away.

Perfect house with gorgeous views

Our family of 5 (three teenage boys) had a great time at Almost Heaven. The house had everything we needed and was exactly as advertised. Smooth communication and check-in process was a breeze. The views are incredible and we like the quieter side of St. John in Coral Bay.The other comments about the driveway are correct - it is daunting even for someone experienced in driving on St. John, but worth it for the views and the house. Thanks!

Luxury with a fantastic view!

At first we thought it was strange that we were supposed to meet Leo in town instead of at the house, but as she led us up the road, it became apparent that we would have had difficulty finding the place on our own. The roads are steep and hard to navigate if you don't know where you're going. Once you get the hang of it, the drive down into Coral Bay only takes a few minutes. You do want at least all-wheel-drive just because of the steepness of the roads.The place itself is amazing. Very clean and comfortable, a well-stocked kitchen, and maybe the best pool in town. Air conditioning in the bedrooms worked well for us (though it wasn't super hot when we were there, so we didn't need it that much). Views of Coral Bay from the two patios and pool are outstanding. There are beach towels and chairs available, as well as a washer and dryer (much appreciated). I wish we had stayed longer!

Beautiful view!

Very well stocked house. Amazing views of the bay and the BVI's. Sun rises were worth getting up early for. Definitely need a 4x4 and nerves of steel to commute on the final section of the road. Easy commute to the beaches and everything for the beach is at the house. Spent a down day enjoying the besutiful pool.

Fabulous Home with Heavenly Views!

The views from Almost Heaven are truly heavenly. We have been visiting St John for over 40 years and this view ranks at the top. We encountered a few issues during our 12 night stay. The management company was wonderful and did their best to respond quickly. Some issues were fixable, some were not, but they did try. Parking has been mentioned. After the 1st couple backs down the driveway, it wasn’t that difficult. The house is well stocked with everything needed. We enjoyed cooking and eating on the deck with the amazing views. As a note, the only place to dine is on the deck since there is no indoor dining other than kitchen island stools for 3. Fabulous home with Heavenly views!

Amazing View!

We had a wonderful time at Almost Heaven! The house had everything we needed for the beach and the views are fantastic! My kids loved the huge pool, they had lots of floats to use as well. Leo and team were very responsive to any questions we had. The road to get down to the house and driveway is very steep but not an issue after a few times. 4WD is a must!!! Almost Heaven was a great stay for our family!

Lovely location overlooking Coral Bay

Almost Heaven met all our expectations. The home was comfortable & the view exquisite. We would definitely stay again!The street leading to the home & parking in the driveway was most difficult especially at night. A jeep is necessary. Nina was helpful guiding us in.Also , the manager was most accommodating

Heavenly Stay Despite Maintenance Challenges

We had a heavenly stay at "Almost Heaven" despite having to endure the challenges of keeping a house maintained on a small island. This is a gorgeous house with an incredible view. It was well stocked with kitchen ware, paper goods, towels, beach chairs, etc.. However, the building systems are aging and should be replaced, as the local property manager is challenged to keep up with repairs with limited island resources. The dishwasher broke and couldn't be repaired during our week's stay. The dryer blew the circuit breaker. More than half of the pendent lights in the kitchen are out as they have some non-standard bulb that isn't easy to replace. Of the two doors out to the porch, one is missing the handle and the handle came off of the other during our stay - its threads look stripped and had been previously "repaired" with duct tape. As other reviews state, the driveway is steep and narrow so backing up or down between concrete walls is challenging and inhibited our coming and going. These are the inconveniences that made this heavenly location "almost heaven." You'll never tire of the view and the convenience of having Coral Bay restaurants nearby.

Great Views

This was a great location with great views. Coral Bay is out of the way of the busy tourist areas. It had wonderful views and felt just right. It would help having a Jeep to get into the drive. I would go back and may sometime. Great spot.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The view is stunning and the house and pool were perfect for our needs. Drive to the house was a little unnerving but eventually you get used to it. Highly recommend!

Beautiful, cool spot on the quiet side of St John

We loved our stay. Coral Bay side of the island was quiet and easy going. The view from the VRBO was lovely. Adored waking up to coffee on the porch, and then coming home after a day doing activitites around the island to dip in the pool and then have a meal and nightcap on the same porch. It was awesome. The drive up/driveway is kind of dauting the first few times, but a good car with 4 wheel drive and it is doable.

This home was fantastic. Unbelievable views that are even better in person than photos can capture. The pool was great to come back to after exploring the various bays nearby. Really appreciated the welcome when we arrived to help with finding the property and navigating the last mile of the road in. The home had everything we could hope for and more.

Almost Heaven

We celebrated my 50th Birthday with friends. I will start with the views of coral bay from this house are Amazing there are no words to describe other than Breathtaking. The owners have this home stocked for vacations. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need, right down to spices you need for your morning Bloody Marys. They provide all the things you need that you can't fly with beach coolers, chairs, towels, umbrellas, floats, even sunscreen and bug spray if you forget to bring your own. The living room, bedrooms, baths and pool are all as described in the listing. We spent most of our time on the balcony enjoying the sunrise and sunsets. As everyone has said before, you must have a 4 wheel drive jeep for the driveway. Its a real adventure for sure. After the first few time you get the hang of it pretty quick. Make sure to have lou give you a lesson on backing down the driveway to the house. Overall a outstanding trip and home. We enjoyed our time there and cant wait to go back. Amazing views

We stayed here for 6 days and the view was phenomenal. It was easy checking in and the property was extremely clean and quiet. Definitely recommend a softer bed for the master suite as it was a little on the hard side. There was plenty of towels, beach chairs and even an umbrella for our beach days.

Amazing place!

We stayed the week of April 21st. It was quite the experience making our way to and from the property but absolutely worth it! 4x4 is a must! The property is fully stocked with anything you could need. Not a better view on the island and could not get enough of it! Pool is large and refreshing...saw a lot of iguanas in the trees on property. We definetly recommend and would return to Almost Heaven!

We had a great time at our Almost Heaven home for the week. The house was great, had everything we needed. Once we got used to the driveway and turn off road, it was fine. We loved the pool and the hammock chair. Highly recommend!

Was it all a dream?

From the moment we walked in we truly felt like we were dreaming. From the flowers hanging over the driveway to the views from every room this house had it all. We loved the decks and pool! The seating on the decks was perfectly set up to realx and take in the views. As other reviews have said driving here is not for the faint of heart. I would not consider this a con because I think it keeps this part of the island quieter and more laid back. We can't wait to visit again!

Amazing time all around!

This was our first trip to USVI and it was a wonderful experience. This was probably the most well appointed VRBO property we've ever stayed at. The house had everything we needed. You can tell the home owners/property managers thought through exactly what would be needed for vacationers who would not be brining a lot of beach stuff. The kitchen was fully appointed - we made dinner in almost every night (hit Skinny Legs for a night out, which was great.) There were plenty of beach towels, beach chairs and a beach umbrella, which really came in handy for our Northern climate skin that has not seen the sun in months! We could not get over the view from the balcony. Watching the sunrise every morning was so beautiful and we ate dinner outside every evening. Our two girls - 8 and 10, loved the huge pool. Even after a full day in the ocean, they still swam every day! The drive to the house was pretty surprising, even with reading all of these reviews, but after the first day, it was no problem. The location was perfect - not far of a drive from everything we wanted to see. And exploring the island was so fun (a 4 wheel drive jeep is a must). We hit 6 beaches in a week: Trunk, Salt Pond, Honeymoon, Francis Beach, Haulover, and Cinnamon. we had the best luck snorkeling at Salt Pond. We loved seeing the donkeys, goats and chickens on our drives. We have a wonderful vacation and can't say enough about the property!
