Nestled in the cozy community of Wilsonville, tree-lined streets provide a welcome canopy to greet you as you enter the gates of this local historical gem. When you pull into the driveway, the 1910 restored farmhouse filled with yesteryear charm will beckon you to it's front door with a cheerful -- "Hello...so glad you're here!"
Upon entering, you'll be greeted with some local goodies that will tempt your taste buds and you'll be treated by a fully furnished home, designed with your comfort in mind. Small thoughtful details, designer lighting and tasteful touches compliment the stylish, modern farmhouse decor and create a warm atmosphere making it feel like your very own Home Sweet Home.
From exposed beams to wide plank floors to shiplap walls and so much more, no opportunities have been overlooked to infuse this home with character. Embracing the original features using locally sourced materials while enhancing the home with modern day functionality, let's you experience a stay that truly feels unique.
Hand-selected furniture throughout, comfy beds and soft linens, vintage style bathrooms with heated floors and included toiletry items, a designated desk area and a convenient laundry room are just a few of the home's best features.
The home boasts a smart layout with a sitting area and two bedrooms upstairs, offering solitude and privacy from the rest of the home. While another bedroom can be found on the main level which is perfect for those who need a more accessible option.
The heart of the home is the living room with a handcrafted fireplace and theater style television but the star of the show may be the spacious dining room with custom fans and farmhouse table which blends the two rooms creating the ideal spot for gathering and spending time with your favorite people.
The stunning kitchen definitely doesn't take a back seat showcasing a large concrete island and eat-up bar which creates the perfect passageway for more conversation, easy entertaining and sharing a delicious meal together. Chef or not, you'll always be set with a stocked and functional kitchen, including an outdoor BBQ for grilling so you can also dine al fresco during the warmer months.
Open and bright with lots of natural light, the inside reflects an equally desirable outside which you can enjoy from the back patio area with outdoor furniture or gather around an impressive one-of-a-kind kettle fire pit. A bocce ball court and other lawn games, make having fun a top priority. Plus, venture out for more play year round with your pick of some additional toys.
Situated on over a half acre there's plenty of room to relax and roam. Landscaped with native plants, fruit trees and flowers, you'll always be able to appreciate your favorite season when visiting, and if that happens to be in the summer, feel free to try your hand at some gardening for fresh contributions to your cooking.
Don't want to stray from your daily routine? Work out on the elliptical or walk/bike to nearby Graham Oaks Nature Park for your choice of trails. Or visit other popular parks just minutes away for more outdoor activity options.
And last but certainly not least, a detached studio with beverage station and sleeping loft creates the perfect hideaway for remote work, quiet conversation, snuggling up with a good book or listening to your favorite music. It may be smaller in size but it's mighty in charm.

GUEST & PROPERTY ACCESS:
Guests will have access to the rental units they have reserved and the exterior grounds that go with them. The detached studio with sleeping loft can only be reserved (additional fee may apply) by the same guests already reserving the farmhouse. The studio space is for adults only and it allows for additional sleeping capacity or it's ideal for guests who still need to work while traveling. The Camping Corner @ Our Sweet Retreat is a separate seasonal rental unit (May - October) on the same property set apart by a rope fence. The Camping Corner can also be reserved as additional space (2 adults max) or for those who want to experience their own personal glamping getaway. Guests using that space must be 21 years or older since the camper, outdoor bath and surrounding area is intended for adult use only. OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
Please be respectful of the surrounding community and our neighbors by honoring quiet hours from 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM. We do have noise monitors at the property and our neighbors have our phone number so we will be alerted if there are issues.
We have a security system with external cameras on the property and they will be turned on.
Please do not have any items shipped to the property without advance permission.
We do have a crew who does weekly yard maintenance at the property so please be aware they may be present at times.
The detached garage is for homeowner use only and should not be accessed by guests.
HOUSE RULES:
Our Sweet Retreat is meant for singles, couples and families who are looking to enjoy and explore the Wilsonville area and beyond (minimum rental age is 25). We want guests to relax but we also hope to be able to continually provide exceptional accommodations because our guests understand they are to leave our property as they found it...clean, neat and tidy. Children should have fun while under the watchful eye of their parents.
--Guests must sign a rental agreement. Security deposit required up to $500.
--A guest guidebook will be provided to guests prior to arrival and you must read and adhere to that information during your stay.
--The person named on the reservation will be our point of contact and must be present during the entire stay (unless discussed in advance with us). They are responsible to convey the information found in the Guest Guidebook to other guests staying or visiting and ultimately for the actions of those other guests while at the property during their stay.
--The number of guests specified at the time of booking must match the number of those actually present during the stay. The external cameras will verify the number of guests and you will be billed accordingly if there are more guests than your original reservation states. The maximum amount of guests allowed for each unit is: Farmhouse = 8 guests, Detached Studio = 2 adults and The Camping Corner = 2 adults. The property maximum is 12 guests and this applies to sleeping and/or occupying the property (buildings or grounds). See next rule if you'd like for exceptions to be considered or ask us about our event packages.
--Parties are never allowed. Events, business meetings or social gatherings may be considered but are not allowed without express permission first (additional fee may apply).
--Pets are not allowed. If there are any signs of pets on the property you will be subject to a fee and/or your security deposit will be forfeited.
--No smoking of any kind inside buildings...if any hint of smoke is detected, a steep cleaning fee of furniture and carpets will be incurred. Cigarette, cigar and pipe smoking allowed outside only but ashes/butts must be disposed of in a container and thrown away and not left anywhere on the property grounds. Absolutely, no marijuana or using drugs on the entire property. Please drink responsibly and dispose of bottles and cans in the appropriate recycling bins. The internet may not be used for illegal activities.
--No candles. Instead, we provide flameless, battery-operated candles for you to use. Do not operate indoor fireplace. Outdoor fire pits have specific rules for operating and those rules must be followed or fines may apply...firewood is provided.
--Bicycle riding and any water activities on the Willamette River or any other bodies of water are done at your own risk.
