Dieses Cottage wurde 2009 renoviert und richtet sich an Outdoor-Fans. Es war ein Sommerhaus für einen SC-Professor.

Jetzt kann die Hütte im Winter, Herbst, Sommer, Frühling genutzt werden. Vor der Haustür: Wandern, Radfahren, Schwimmen, Angeln, Beten, Meditieren, Wildtiere, Sterngucken. In der Nähe der Green River Gorge Zip-Line und Wildwasser-Rafting und Schläuche auf dem Green River. Einkaufen: 10 min. von der Innenstadt von Saluda; 20 Minuten. Fahrt nach Hendersonville; 40 min. Fahrt nach Asheville. Blick auf die Winterberge und den See. Sommer - üppige grüne Privatsphäre.

Weekend getaway

The place was peaceful and quiet. We wanted a quiet weekend and this met everything. Property was great. Cabin had everything you’d need for our stay. Road up was a little bumpy but would definitely consider staying there again

Fair price, room to sprawl, very let friendly, owners incredibly responsive.

Property was as described but we misunderstood that the lake accesses are not on the property but a short drive, of which there are two. One is very close but still a drive for us to take fishing rods, chairs, etc. P

Off the Beaten Path

4 Seasons Cabin was a wonderful and relaxing place to "get away from it all!" Beth was a wonderful host and in constant communication throughout the stay. The cabin had everything that we needed for our 5 night stay. We really enjoyed being able to use the canoe, paddleboat and paddle boards down at the lake as well as the fishing rods. The path to the lake is a bit of a hike and is uphill on the way back. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and watching the rain showers and the overall peace and quiet! We would recommend to anyone who wanted to relax and enjoy nature.

A few unexpected issues, only some preventable

The property owner was very helpful, responsive and professional. It’s one reason I hesitate to leave less than 5 star review. The heat wave occurring during our planned four day stay was unavoidable, so no real issue there, other than all guests should be aware that the cabin has a single floor unit ac in one bedroom only. The issue that made us leave early (after a single night) was the beds. They (the queen and the twins in the other room) were not conducive for a good night’s sleep. We tried them all in an effort to get some relief. The mattresses were very thin and with uncomfortable springs you could feel. I see another reviewer commented that they are great and got wonderful night’s sleep, which made me feel great about booking the place. Either it was a different set of mattresses back when they stayed or I’m a more particular sleeper. Just fyi, I’m in my mid 50’s, side sleeper, 135 lbs. I can sleep away from home elsewhere (ie, I’m not wed to my own home set up)…I think it’s a legit issue. (And happily, a solvable one for the owner) The other issue to be aware of, and which may be esp important for middle age guests to know, is that the path to the lake is kind of treacherous. If you are not sure-footed or have knee problems, be aware that it may not be a trek you want to make. Other than these two issues, the house is lovely, quiet and peaceful. Beth was gracious and eager to be of service, so I wish I could leave a more glowing review.

Best peace and quiet I’ve had in a long time

This cabin is absolute heaven on earth. Beth was available if needed and was correct about us needing a four wheel drive (off the ground) vehicle to reach the cabin. We will definitely be back. Thanks Beth for providing us with a break from our hectic lives.

Dream getaway from our getaway

My husband and I are moving from Texas to Maine and this was much a needed relaxing stay. The cabin was very accommodating, and we loved morning walks and fishing in the lake. Beth was very helpful in our late arrival and we will definitely be visiting again.

Mountain Bliss

This is an unique property well suited for rest and relaxation. Beautiful stack stone fireplace with stack stone accents around the property. The cabin had everything we needed. Beth, our host, was proactive and responsive. My only regret is that we didn't book a longer stay! Tony

4 Seasons Cottage Exceeded Our Expectations

My husband and I had an incredible time at 4 seasons cottage. It exceeded our expectations in every way. My husband and I both felt the pictures do not do it justice. We got some great hiking in with our dog, grilled out every night, took the canoe out on Lake Sheila, and used the indoor fireplace every night as well. It was so relaxing and cozy and felt secluded because of the surrounding woods. There are a lot of beautiful wineries in the area as well which was perfect for us. Lastly, Beth was kind and communicative. This getaway was exactly what we needed and we will 100% be back. Thank you Beth!

Wonderful Host and Beautiful Place

This beautiful cabin is at the end of a one way road. It is secluded enough for wonderful privacy and yet easy to return to Saluda for a visit to shop or have a meal. It is the second time we have stayed. The cabin is called 4 Seasons and we have now experienced two and hope to return during another season. The amenities are excellent, and the host is timely and friendly. Could not recommend a better place to escape the hustle and bustle of work in the city.

Our favorite family getaway!

This is our second trip and we can’t say enough good things! It’s a short drive for us and as soon as you arrive you feel like the only people in the world! It is such a great change of pace from the noises and hustle and bustle of everyday life. Beth always communicates so well and has the cabin ready to go from heat, towels, sheets, all kitchen needs and condiments, trash bags, fishing and lake gear, and a note to welcome everyone! We love making fired in the pit outside and hiking the trails through the woods. It’s a great bonding time for our family. Thank you for another great trip!!

Quiet retreat.

I just needed time away. I picked the dreariest time of year — I expect the cabin/lake are wonderful in the Summer. I just needed a quiet retreat for a few days and this served well. Beth was accommodating about a little extra wood for the fire pit and when I left something valuable (and awkward to ship) in the cabin she arranged to meet me partway for a handoff. Very helpful.

Perfect Mountain Retreat

The cabin was the perfect getaway for our family of 3! The host went above and beyond to ensure our stay was great. Location is convenient to Saluda and hiking. The patio with fire pit was a great family hangout on the evenings. Cabin was very clean and cozy. Kitchen is well stocked. We will definitely be back!

Peace, wildlife, camping feel without other tents around and all the nice amenities of a home. Lots of fish in the lake. No motor boats allowed. Perfect for swimming, floating, paddling. Clear water. Canoe and paddle boat use with lifejackets provided. No additional charge. Boats are already at Lake Sheila ready for use. Expect to see some wildlife - bear, deer, fox, bobcat, rabbits, squirrel, many birds, bats, owls, frogs, fish and turtles, snakes and spiders too!
