Der beste Teil des Hauses ist die Privatsphäre. Wir verbrachten mehr Nächte, als wir vorhatten, den Pool zu genießen und in Sitzecke / Bar / Spielzimmer zu filtern. Dieser Kurzurlaub ist weniger als 10 Minuten von Lyft entfernt von allen Sehenswürdigkeiten, einschließlich Boston's on the Beach (unser Favorit). Boynton / Delray Beach FL - April 2022 Review.

VRBO rental property was an exceptional choice among several options in area. Mark, owner was very accessible throughout our stay and prior to visit. Amenities and features especially 5 star pool with spacious backyard was a bonus during our stay. Terrific neighborhood area, and short 4+ mile distance to beautiful downtown Delray Beach.

Not what I expected

I arrived 12/24 at 2 pm and left 12/25 at 10 am after informing the owner at 8pm on 12/24 that I was leaving due to cleanliness and deferred maintenance issues. This was a disappointing experience and difficult to find other lodging over Christmas and New Years in the popular Boynton/Delray area. On the positive side, this is first and so far the only experience where such drastic action has been warranted.

We had a enjoyable stay at this property! We had a couple of hitches but the owner was very responsive and took care of the issues . The house is well kept - bit dated. The backyard is a tropical oasis! Can’t rave enough about the lovely pool, screened in porch, etc. The house is also very well stocked. It is located at the border of DelRay beach and Boynton beach. It is an excellent location. Easily accessible to the beach and downtown DelRay. Many nice restaurants to enjoy on Atlantic Avenue. House is perfect for a family of four.

Amazing Vacation with a Fantastic Host

This was our first use of VRBO, and the host Captain Mark, helped in every step of the way. There is no reason to stay in a hotel at all if this property is available. Great communication from Mark the entire time both leading up, through and after the trip. One of our big fears were that the pictures never line up with the reality of the place, but we were so very happy to see that in this case it does. The pictures are a great representation of the home. We hope to make this a yearly trip out, because it was such a wonderful experience. Thank you Mark!

Will Definitely Be Back

The Capt has a great house, and we'll be back next time we're down to see my parents. The kids loved the pool, and the yard and screened in porch were perfect for entertaining family and friends all in one spot. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the office was well equipped for needing to periodically connect to work stuff. The location was great too! Thanks Capt!

Great location and property!

This house is lovely with a fantastic backyard! The inside of the house is spacious and I found it a convenient bonus that it offered a separate work/office space. The backyard is wonderful - partially screened in, great pool for entertaining, and top notch landscaping. The location was great in a quiet neighborhood, walking distance to a nature park, and easy access to the highway and grocery store. I found the owner and property manager to be very responsive and helpful. Enjoyed every minute!

Lovely Experience

Thoughtful and helpful owner, artistic comfortable home, well furnished, beautiful pool and backyard. Very quiet and peaceful with the exception of loud next door neighbor for 45 minutes every morning and for boisterous play by children in the pool just about every evening. Close to great restaurants and the beach. We had a great time.

Can’t imagine a better pool and backyard

Mark was a great host! He and his property have positive vibes. And his property manager Michelle was great too! The house is charming. But the backyard and pool are What make this one of the Best properties you can find. We felt like we were in the Caribbean on a tropical vacation whenever we were out there. Every single one of our friends that came to visit was in awe of his backyard and the set up.

Perfect for our family!

We stayed at Captain Mark’s in December, 2020. It was perfect for our family of four (including two kids, ages 4 and 10). We needed a getaway to warmer weather while still accommodating virtual work and school schedules for our family. Mark was personally very attentive to ensure WiFi was all set up and ready for us. We enjoyed the beautiful backyard and the heated pool; the kids rode bikes (from Captain Mark’s garage) around the neighborhood. The house was fairly clean with newer outdoor furniture to enjoy. We especially loved the screened in patio with bar, games and a tv. We made good use of the grill and ate most meals outside to enjoy the weather. This was a great place for our family and would definitely think about visiting again.

Great place and host

I highly recommend this place. Beautiful exterior and ambiance. The pool is awesome, the hammock extremely comfy and plenty of intriguing and interesting books, pictures, and decorations. I noticed something new every day. Mark is an excellent host. I had a great time and my kids really loved the coconuts and space to play and be free during this pandemic. I’d Definitely rent this place in the future

Beautiful Home

Thank you so much Mark, The home was comfortable, clean, and fun for the whole family. We enjoyed swimming in the heated pool and it felt like we were home. The check in process with Sandy was easy and both Mark and Sandy had excellent communication throughout our stay, checked in on us periodically via text/e-mail to see if we needed anything, and so kind and welcoming. The home is conveniently located to grocery stores, beaches, downtown, yet the quiet neighborhood, outdoor places, and home gave us a feeling of complete privacy. I had the pleasure of spending 3 months last winter in Captain Mark's house in Boynton Beach. The house is located in a upscale neighborhood just a few minutes from the beach and is an A+ accommodation, well appointed house with everything you need in the kitchen and plenty of linen for the bathrooms and bedrooms, TVs in every room ( including in the Florida room outside). That Florida room and adjacent backyard is the main event in this house: huge covered and screened room with very amenities and a great view of the pool and well designed very private backyard ( with a great covered BBQ station ). The landscaping is gorgeous and even more remarkable at night , with well designed lighting . That backyard is probably the reason why we did not go to the beach that much... Captain Mark is very helpful and all requests are handled very quickly by a very charming Sandy who takes care of the day to day operation. I have already booked for next winter.

Cool Key West style house with a amazing backyard/pool/patio area

This is the second time we've stayed at Captain Mark's place and loved it as much as the first. The house is perfect for family vacations, 10 min's from the beach and restaurants, shopping etc are very accessible. The house itself is very cool/cute with a kind of key west/nautical/ocean theme, but the backyard is amazing. It's like a state park with all the palm's/flowers and landscaping. There is a hammock with a sand pit, a grilling area with a hut, lots of benches/seating and a decent sized grassy area enclosed by a privacy fence. The pool is amazing also, it has a large shallow pool area (about 2' deep) which is great for youngsters that can't swim or for just lounging in the water. The rest of the pool is graduated with a shallow and deep end with a couple built in benches and has a built in bar with a umbrella. You can see into the screened in outdoor patio area and watch TV while at the pool bar. The screened in patio area is pretty nice and spacious also. Captain Mark has also stocked the place with all the pool toys/floats and beach amenities (chairs, umbrella's, beach towels, sand toys...etc.

Hidden Paradise

My wife and I loved Captain Mark's home. It is very nicely decorated with interesting original artworks and photographs. The whole place has a funky, cheerful vibe. We found it very clean and well stocked and just as advertised. Sandy, who lives next door and manages the property while Mark's away, is a wonderful bonus. She is very accommodating and will take care of anything you need. The neighborhood is also very nice, quiet and located just minutes from everything. We came down to go to spring training baseball games and found it hard to leave the pool and wonderful patio area! We highly recommend this property! Tim and Hope Knoxville, TN

Perfect snowbird retreat

My wife and I have stayed at this home multiple times over the past few years. The backyard with heated pool, Barbq area, screened in porch and total privacy has been great for gatherings with friends and family. The home has a unique style of furnishings and decoration that clearly gives it a "beachy" feeling. Being close to beach and the nightlife of Delray's Atlantic Avenue is an added bonus. We will be back! Thanks for a great stay Captain!

Excellent stay at Delray house

Our family (2 boys ages 8 and 12) stayed at Captain Mark's house for about a week. It was very convenient to everything and the house was nicely appointed with all necessities. The property manager, Sandy (next door neighbor), was very helpful, accommodating and friendly. She was great to work with. The kids loved the pool and backyard. They went swimming twice a day! They utilized the screened in area and enjoyed the outdoor shower. It was nice to park our car in the garage. The kitchen was fully stocked and it was easy to make meals for the kids during our stay.

The property manager is local so all your needs are fulfilled right away.
Best heated pool, with bar stools in the deep end, in town. Lots of privacy, vibrant colors, art, and all you need to stay, we provide beach towels, paper towels, dish and laundry soap, toilet paper, cleaning supplies and vacuum, etc. so you don't have to run out for basic stuff.
Quiet street, with a turtle filled nature walk two blocks east -- Seacrest Scrub Nature Park, and there is an around Lake Ida bike and running 2-mile loop, and we are 2.5 miles north of vibrant Atlantic Ave at the end of Swinton Ave. just over the Delray Beach borderline.
You get what you pay for, and you get a lot here at Casa de la Capitan! Peace.
