Verbesserungswürdig: Sauberkeit und Zustand der Unterkunft
First of all it should be noted here that the car is not located at the airport or near by. You’ll need to take a bus from the airport to the bus terminal about 45 minutes each way at $25 per person. This should have been disclosed beforehand not afterwards. We found this to be very inconvenient and costly.
The car was not cleaned when we pick it up although the owner charged us for cleaning fees and 35’euro for early pick up.
The car is generally mechanically sound and drives okay but shows wear and tears as was used extensively. Fridge and heat works fine. Sleeping bags and pillows appeared cleaned.
Very limited in utensils just a small frying pan 2 forks 2 knives 2 spoons and 2 plastic cups. No coffee press or anything big enough to heat up a good amount of water.
Overall being our first time visiting Iceland we found that they’re many many outlets that rent this type of vehicles and they cost about the same or less in a better or newer condition and airport shuttle is included or they’ll available at the airport for travelers convenience.
Owner was attentive to respond to our emails with the exception to the one asking if was possible to drop the car at the airport. No response.
Nothing against but we personally will use another car rental next time.
