Great communication with the property owner
The property owner was accommodating and attentive to our needs. We had some problems with a leaky water drain under the sink and Greg acted quickly to get that repaired. That was not a great feat over a holiday, so I commend him for his communication to make that right for us.
The property is listed to sleep 10 people. That is impossible with the number of available beds. There was one bedroom with 1 king size bed and 2 bedrooms with twin size beds. The 4th bedroom states that there are 2 king size beds, and that was not true.There was no queen size bed or full size bed in the common room either. The could did not pull out beds, so the math is wrong on sleeping arrangements. This will prohibit us from using this property with larger parties in the future.
The amenities could be improved. It was tough to work with a 5-cup coffee maker (for a house that sleeps 10- or 6 in our case). Towels, blankets and sheets were limited as well. There were signs all over the property. “Don’t steal the pig-pong paddles,” or “one paper towel roll per stay.” At some point you have to trust your tenants. Friendly signs about the amenities you do have would have been more welcoming.
The downstairs shower needs a door. Water sprays outside of the shower with a curtain. The spray was like pins and needles. There was previous water damage that reeked of mildew downstairs.We ended up leaving a day early because we could not take another night stay like this. The property needs work.
