Captains Hideaway: The perfect vacation spot!
This beautiful lake home on the west side of Cayuga Lake is the perfect spot for your long-deserved vacation!
Walk across the level yard and up the sidewalk to the semi-private, latticed back porch. Access is made easy with the flat walks and wide doorway. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the amenities you will need - gas stove/oven unit, a side-by-side refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and lots of counter space to prepare a gourmet meal or simple vacation dinners.
The living room/dining room is open and bright due to the eastern wall of windows. To enhance your evenings, a propane two-sided fireplace w/remote control on/off switch sits cozily between the living room and game room. Plenty of seating is available to watch your favorite movie or sporting event.
Want to play cards or board games? A table is in the game room for your convenience. Prefer to dine outside? The deck overlooking the lake is just a few short steps away with a propane grill and lots of patio furniture for an enjoyable meal. A library is off the kitchen where you can escape for some quiet time to yourself. A futon and large sofa is there for your convenience to stretch out and read one of the books in the well-stocked library. The Wi-Fi internet port is located in the library.
A half-bath and laundry room is to the left of the kitchen. Off the dining room is the first floor Master Bedroom with King-size bed and ensuite bathroom with private walk-in shower and plenty of closet space. Sliding glass doors give you access from your bedroom onto the front deck.
Upstairs is another Master Bedroom with King-size bed and ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower unit. There is a desk for the "working" vacationer and internet service. Walk out the sliding glass doors on to your own private balcony. Bedroom 3 has a Queen-size bed and has a large picture window that overlooks the lake and lots of closet space. Bedroom 4 has a set of Twin-size beds with a small dresser unit and lots of closet space. A full bathroom with a separate tub/shower unit completes the second floor.
Entrance to the outside dog kennel is through the laundry room. Two large dog crates and dog dishes are stored in the laundry room for your use when the dog(s) are inside. A scoop and garbage can are provided for yard cleaning.
Bring your croquet or badminton games and watch the children and dog(s) play in the large level yard as you enjoy your morning coffee from the deck. A fire pit on the beachfront is available for your evening campfires and s'mores. Make sure you bring your own lawn chairs to sit around the fire!
Want to venture out and experience the area? Enjoy the Cayuga Wine Trail, the nearby Geneva Outlet Mall, local State Parks and area restaurants. Captain's Hideaway is the perfect vacation home that you'll want to return to again and again!
