Built in 1999 as an oasis for the Y2k switch, this fully solar earth ship does not force any trade-offs between being self-sufficient and being comfortable. All the water in the house is mountain spring water and all the electricity in the house is solar powered. Gas logs in the fireplaces keep the house warm in the winter and a gas stove top provides a great cooking experience to feed you and your entire guest-list. There is a glass dining porch off the main room of the house, as well as the main porch of the house to provide plenty of room for grilling, dining, sunbathing, watching the clouds, and morning yoga. The house also features a large bath tub situated next to a window for moon-lit baths. At night there are no houses, traffic lights or roads in sight and you will have some of the lowest light pollution in the state giving you a world-class opportunity for star-gazing. At night you will find a type of silence that simply does not exist anywhere else, only to be occasionally broken by wolves howling in the distance.
