The Space:
Humble nook for your morning coffee/tea. Enjoy a peaceful and spacious tropical backyard escape - fully equipped with an outdoor kitchen & grill. There's plenty of fun outdoor seating. You'll forget that you're located just 2-mins from (right next to) the interstate!

The Neighborhood:
Winter Park is known for its Old World charm, beautiful brick streets, & historic neighborhoods. It's uniquely like a mini-version of Manhattan’s Central Park, but in Central FL, with an abundance of parks. For an exceptional view, get out on the water & explore the vibrant lakes (a chain of six).

Close enough to the theme parks, yet just far enough to still experience local Orlando living. There’s a refined hipster vibe, packed with the area’s hottest restaurants, sleek bars, eclectic coffee shops, shopping, world-class museums, and a liberal arts college campus right in the center of town!

Getting Around:
The best way to get around would be by car. Don't forget to turn on the "Avoid Tolls" option on your GPS to avoid expensive toll charges!

Other Things to Note:
Please note that the cottage is an extension of the main home which is also an Airbnb listing, completely detached and seperate. The backyard however is only accessible to the cottage and not the main home.

Interaction with Guests:
The main home is an Airbnb listing as well and you guys may see each other when parking but otherwise, completely separate and private. We conveniently offer self check-in and check-out. Though we are not available in person, we are happy to answer any questions and help accommodate to the best of our ability! Feel free to contact us through the Airbnb messaging app :)

Great Outdoor Space and Convenient Location if you can stomach the SMELL

We spent about 15 mins in this room. Though conveniently located near downtown Winter Park, we were greeted with a host of unpleasant smells. We parked in the driveway as requested and there was a strong smell of animal urine (cat maybe) by the main house. When we entered the private gate the trash cans wreaked of rotting fish. We were withholding judgment, but when we entered the room there was a lot of disappointment with the dankness. The mildew/wet smell was very overpowering. I'm not sure if it's because the room has the bathroom with no bathroom vent as others have, or because the room was originally constructed as an outbuilding. Anyway, we immediately started to look for alternative accommodations and left the property. The property owner was very communicative and offered to have someone come out and apply some "scents" to help with the smell, but we declined knowing that more scents would only be more overpowering. The property owner did not offer any reimbursement or alternative means of compensating us for not being able to stay our intended nights which was disappointing since we could not tolerate the accommodations. Bottom line: looks nice in the photos, and the location is convenient to winter park, but your nose will be very offended.

Great little cottage

I only stayed one night at the cottage for the Cheezit Bowl with my son and it was perfect. Cute, clean, and comfy. Though I didn’t use the outdoor kitchen, there’s plenty of space to lounge and have a cookout. Thanks Julie! Go Noles!

Great Little Cottage

Great Place! Great for one or two people. Hosts Julie and JB were extremely accommodating. Bed is comfy, great patio to hang out on. Would stay again for sure!

Please note that the cottage is an extension of our primary residence, completely detached with private entry. In addition, we do have 2 dogs that live on site. We take great care to make sure that we only take them outside when guests are not present so as to not interrupt their stay.

In sunny Florida, with beautiful weather and greenery, come humidity and bugs. These elements are a natural & very common occurrence! We have our property professionally sprayed for bugs and mosquitoes, and have bug spray available. However, everything outside of that is beyond our control.

Please do not park inside the gate for ANY reason.

There is absolutely NO smoking and NO drugs allowed inside the home or elsewhere on property.

We can accommodate a maximum of 2 adults and max 2 guests are allowed at the property during daytime hours.

No third party bookings allowed, unless otherwise agreed upon in written form.

Only the number of guests indicated on the reservation are allowed to stay overnight on-premise, unless otherwise agreed upon in written form.

Number of cars on property at any given time needs to correspond w/ number of guests stated in the reservation.

Parking is permitted on the street, or in the driveway in front of the gate & not to block driveway in front of the main house.

Please wipe shoes at the door. It is preferred that shoes are removed indoors when possible, so we can keep the place clean!

The outdoor storage & shed is where we store extra supplies, and off limits to guests.

Please respect the neighborhood. Be considerate of our neighbors while socializing outdoors after 10pm and before 8am. Also, keep excessive noise to a minimum during this time.

No fireworks of any kind.

No firearms on property unless kept locked in vehicle.

Please take out the trash and dispose properly per instructions upon departure.

Report damages immediately.

We reserve the right to pursue monetary fines if guests are found to be in violation of any of these rules.
