Unser Haus ist ein wunderschön renoviertes Anwesen, nur wenige Schritte vom atemberaubenden West Cliff Drive (auf der unteren Westseite von Santa Cruz) mit seinen unberührten Gezeitenstränden, weltbekannten Surfspots und dem reichhaltigen Leben in Monterey Bay.
Nehmen Sie einen 40-minütigen Spaziergang entlang der West Cliff Drive zu den berühmten Beach Boardwalk und Kirmes oder 20 Minuten mit dem Fahrrad. Es gibt eine Fülle von Restaurants und eine weitere 10 Minuten zu Fuß werden Sie in der Innenstadt von Santa Cruz mit seinen Geschäften, Bars, Restaurants und Kinos zu nehmen.
Unser Haus ist eine schöne, geschmackvoll eingerichtete 2500 sq ft Haus. Es wurde renoviert und verfügt über eine schöne offene Designerküche, eine Terrasse, einen Garten und einen Whirlpool. Im November 2016 wurde ein neuer Swim Spa-Pool hinzugefügt. Das Haus verfügt über 3 Schlafzimmer, die aus 1 Kingsize-Bett, 1 Queensize-Bett, einem Doppelschlafsofa und einem Doppelbett bestehen 3 Zwillinge, bestehend aus 1 Zweibettzimmer mit zwei ausziehbaren Rollbändern und einem Doppelbett mit zwei Einzelbetten mit Aufbewahrungsschubladen. Das Doppelschlafsofa kann bei Bedarf in das kleine Büro verschoben werden. Es gibt auch eine Ersatz-Zwillingsmatratze, die in einem großen Schlafzimmer platziert werden kann, falls kleine Kinder mit den Eltern schlafen müssen. Es gibt 2 Familienzimmer, Esszimmer, Büro / Wintergarten, 2. 5 Badezimmer. Die große Familie Zimmer hat ein Doppel log brennendes Kamin, große Smart TV und brandneue Schnitt Sofa und Sessel. Der Speisesaal verfügt über eine große Eiche Esstisch, Stühlen und Bank, die 10 sitzt. Das Büro verfügt über einen Fernseher, einen Drucker und einen Schreibtisch und liegt neben dem Speisesaal. Die offene Designerküche verfügt über eine umlaufende Arbeitsplatte mit Hockern für 7 Personen. Die Küche öffnet sich zum Esszimmer und zum hinteren Familienzimmer, das auch ein neues, großes, bequemes L-förmiges Sofa, einen TV, einen Bistrotisch und 2 Stühle in der Ecke hat. Ein atemberaubender europäischer Holzofen wurde soeben zusammen mit neuen Schiebetüren und Glasscheiben installiert, die einen hellen, offenen, unterhaltsamen Bereich zum Deck und einen schönen und ruhigen Garten hinter dem Haus mit Whirlpool, BBQ-Grill, Hängematte, Gartenmöbeln und Außendusche schaffen und neues 15ft x 9ft SWIM SPA! * Sowohl der Swim-Spa als auch der Whirlpool verfügen über solide Spa-Abdeckungen, um zu verhindern, dass Personen oder Haustiere zusammen mit Ablagerungen in das Innere fallen und die Wärme darin bleibt.

The house is exactly as stated in the description. Victoria is easy to work with. We appreciated the space. There were five of us, my husband, and three teenagers. We prefer to cook rather than go out and felt we had most of what we needed.

Gorgeous home by the sea

We had a wonderful getaway with our kiddos here. My husband and I both had to work for half the trip, but didn't mind at all in this beautiful setting. We got to swim every day, lounge in the hot tub, walk to watch the waves, and easily get to the Boardwalk, Capitola, etc. He and I loved enjoying a glass of wine in the backyard, admiring the gorgeous plants and butterflies, while the kiddos played with the bunnies or claimed their own spots throughout the house (great for preventing arguments!). Wonderful communications with the owner, super easy check in and checkout process. Plus the neighbors are super nice. Can't wait to come back!

Comfortable home and backyard, at a great location

Excellent house. Perfect for family with 2-3 kids. Small, heated pool + hot tub in the backyard was used nearly every day of our 2-week stay. A 10-min bike ride to the boardwalk. Block and a half from the ocean where there is a long walking trail. Very comfortable furnishings. While we didn't need anything while there, the communications were flawless. The only thing that could be improved would be better kitchenware. Pans, spatulas, tongs - those kinds of things. If you don't plan to cook much (and there are excellent restaurants nearby), then its no big deal. If you are master chef, you may want to bring some items from home.

Nice Getaway in Santa Cruz

My family and I enjoyed staying at this property. Our girls loved the bunnies and spending time at the outdoor pool and jacuzzi. The location was great, close to everything, including the boardwalk, groceries and the Marine Discovery Center. The house is within a few min walk to the shoreline and we walked to the Natural Bridges beach and had a great time there. Vik was super responsive and accommodating. The house was spacious and had everything we needed.

Loved the rabbits snd especially the therapeutic swim pool. The kids loved being outside snd so did we. Perfect distance from the ocean. Loads of sitting areas to enjoy with the one with the big screen most popular. I would definitely recommend it.

We stayed for a week with 4 adults, a 4-year-old, and a dog. The house was super clean, and beautifully appointed on the inside. We spent a lot of time in the back yard, which is a very nice deck with various seating spots, and a small pool (was perfect for our 4-year-old to play in). The home is a walk away from a couple beaches, and a short drive away from the Santa Cruz boardwalk and wharf (and a bunch more beaches). The owner was responsive and flexible with questions that we had. Everybody had a good time. Would stay again!

Wonderful house with fantastic location- would absolutely return

My family- my husband, my mom, 7 year old, and 1 year old- stayed at the house for the week of Thanksgiving and had an excellent stay. We have rented a number of houses in this particular neighborhood because we love the proximity to West Cliff Drive, Natural Bridges and Wilder Ranch, the beaches, and West Cliff neighborhood dining. The outdoor spaces at the house are really wonderful and my older son loved the swim spa and hot tub. While there is no access to the garage, there was plenty of side yard space for us to safely store our bikes and beach equipment. We would love to return to this property, but with a couple things in mind: 1) the kitchen knives were incredibly dull. We’ll pack a knife or two next time. 2) we’ll bring any spices we think we might use. While the kitchen is stocked with the family’s items, we found ourselves missing some basics like sugar, cinnamon, rosemary, etc. 2) the linens have a strong detergent smell. I ended up buying scent-free detergent to launder the linens because the smell was bothering us. For many people, this will be no big deal. My sister-in-law uses the same detergent and the same smell exists at her house. But for me, it was giving me a headache. If you’re sensitive to smells, I would consider bringing your own linens and pillows. 3) not a big deal for us because we brought all of our own stuff, but don’t count on random beach equipment to use. A lot of rental properties in the area have beach chairs, toys, even bikes, to use. Overall a beautiful home in a great neighborhood and I highly recommend staying here.

Amazing property in amazing location

My wife and I stayed here with my Brothers and sisters. The layout is a great way to spend time together or spread out if you want to. There’s even an office my wife was able to use for work. The master suite isvery luxurious. The only downside, and it is very minor, is that there are no closets. There are a couple of small hanging racks so plan accordingly. The host was wonderful and graciously resolved an oversight by VRBO concerning billing.Would stay here again anytime!

Comfortable spot close to the coast

This is a very comfortable home close to the coast / beach. The house is nicely decorated with nice touches throughout. The backyard is great for relaxing and sunning. Although the house is updated and clean, the surrounding neighborhood is a mixed bag - the house across the street is dilapidated and there was an abandoned damaged car parked right across the street. It's not a big deal - it's kind of how Santa Cruz is - but just a heads up given the price point....

The Sweet Spot

Our family of six wanted to visit the beach for a few days and celebrate the new year. We found this listing and thought it would work...it was FANTASTIC!! The home is cozy and comfortable. There are two main living areas and an outdoor space that is truly a haven of peace and calm. The kitchen is large and fully equipped. There is a large dining table with a glass fireplace right nearby that was the center of our meals. There is a small office space that gets the morning sun and the bedrooms upstairs are large and comfortable. The ocean is just a block away and there is a beautiful walking place that stretches for miles. You can walk to a lovely grocery store (about 9 blocks), delish coffee store and brewery (I think). It is a wonderful place to relax and we cherished our time there. There is not one thing I would change...so grateful for the hospitality, the charm and the comfort of this great place. PS If you go at Christmas time, expect lovely, cheery decroations! :)

Great property in central location!

Enjoyed our little family getaway in this beautiful home. Walking distance to the coast and beach. Beautiful neighborhood, close to stores and dining. Very nice backyard setup, we loved the swim spa! Look forward to returning in the future.

We had such a wonderful time. The home is laid out in a wonderful fashion with a great kitchen, large dining room and large living room. The rooms upstairs are great.. We plan to go again. Thank you for sharing your home.

We are an Australian/English family now living in Santa Cruz, California. We are a family of 4 - 2 boys aged 13 and 15 plus our 6 yr old Australian Shepherd "Buddha" and his little sister, "Winter" - a 2 year old Bernese Mountain Dog. The property also has 2 beautiful Dwarf Bunnies which reside in their own Rabbit house at the side of the front door. *The Bunnies will remain on property and be tended by a carer unless you prefer they are removed during your stay. We are from the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia although I was born and grew up in United Kingdom. We are beach and mountain people who love the sea, sand and snow. Santa Cruz has so much to offer. Steps from our front door is West Cliff Drive and a walk/bike path takes you passed beaches like the one my family is having fun on in the picture. We have another home in Whistler, British Columbia which we spend most school holidays. We began renting our Santa Cruz home out in 2010. Our house is beautifully decorated and constantly being renovated and decorated (interior design being a Love of mine!), but it is also our home and as such we want you to feel "at home" here. We are big travellers and nearly always stay in VRBO homes and thus I know the importance of having a beautiful place to stay with all the ameneties of your own home!

We had travelled to Santa Cruz a few times for work and found it to be a place we could call "home from home" and feel there is a lot of similarities between Sydney and Santa Cruz with so much to do so close to home. If you stand at our front gate and look left you see the Ocean and to the right you look up into the Santa Cruz Hills. There are bike trails and walking trails aplenty. The home is literally minutes away from beaches, boardwalk, town, wineries, restaurants, parks etc. Something for everyone of all ages!

We love being so close to the ocean, beaches and great surf spots plus the mountains for hiking and biking with Tahoe just a 4 hour drive away for skiing in Winter and Lakes and biking in Summer. We own another home in Whistler BC, Canada which is just a 2 hour flight away or a 2 day drive!!
(our dogs are the reason we drive!!) making Santa Cruz the ideal location for us.
Down town Santa Cruz is a fun, interesting, lively town with plenty of shops and cafes and restaurants. We love having the beaches steps away from our house so the kids can boogie board, surf or simply just hang out on the beach with the dogs or friends. The Boardwalk and Funfair is a favorite spot along with great bike paths and trails along the coast and up into the hills. The steam train and Redwoods being a 15 minute drive away. The abundance of great restaurants and wineries are a great bonus for those of us who like to wine and dine. Up the road from our house there are a number of local "Wineries" and "Breweries" with fabulous locally grown wines, beers etc if you fancy a relaxed and friendly atmosphere sampling some great wines and beers produced in Santa Cruz. There is also a french bakery, restaurants and a couple of great little boutiques all just a few blocks away from our house. AND that is if you don't want to go down town to sample the fares on offer down there!! All in all - fabulous location for all ages!
