Deer Mountain Cottage is an artfully decorated home in the heart of Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains. Spring is the perfect time to explore the Poconos. We are close to whitewater fishing, rafting, hiking, shopping, breweries, golf, and more! This cozy retreat attracts guests from all over the country.

We are the perfect base camp to explore:

Excellent Stay!
This mountain cottage was the perfect place for a long weekend in the Jim Thorpe. It was about a 20 min drive to the downtown area plus about a 10-20 min drive to plenty of other places! The cottage was just as pictured and described and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked so we were able to do all the cooking we needed with everything provided. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable with good quality linens and towels. Would recommend!

The perfect get away for my husband & I.
Absolutely loved our stay at deer mountain cottage. The esthetic is beyond gorgeous. They have everything you need if your cooking a mealbat home. Everything was easy to find and super convenient. The beds were extremely comfortable, I didn’t even notice I wasn’t at home. The location is perfect. Jim Thorpe was a 15-20 minute drive and lake harmony was around the corner. The hosts out did themselves on decor and hospitality. I would love to come back with my family in the near future! 10/10!!

Great House!
We had a great time at this house. It was the perfect amount of space for my lady and I and three kids, plus an additional couple. It was very well decorated which only added to the experience. We cooked alot but loved that it was close to some good restaurants in Lake Harmony (Nicks and Shenanigans). We walked to the lake one day. We went to Camelback Indoor adventure which the kids LOVED. We all did virtual reality for the first time. Although the weather conditions did not cooperate, we did get in one day of skiing and tubing at Big Boulder. I have stayed at many houses in the Poconos many times but this one topped them all. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you to Luke and Lena who were very communicative.

Perfect!
I recently stayed here with my husband, two kids, and dog. We were going skiing at Blue Mountain, which was a quick 25 minute drive. Looking for a place to stay with a pet can be very difficult. I was beyond pleased with the cleanliness of the house. Everything was perfect. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was stocked, there were games available for my kids, the towels and linens were new - the list goes on! I truly appreciated the owners' request to keep our dog off of the furniture, wiping her paws off after coming in from outside, and caging her while we were gone. This all helps with keeping this rental clean and damage free. You would never know that they allow dogs here! When we are in the area in the future, I will definitely be looking to stay here again! Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

A lot of thought was put into making this the perfect VRBO rental. The kitchen was well equipped, beds very comfortable… Just a good place to relax and use as your home-base as you are spending time in the Poconos area.
