Just breathe immediately and let us unburden you from the stress of daily life as you relax in your luxury space with family and friends,
Welcome to Hale O Ulu (house of growth)! Located central to Kailua-kona, 5 minute drive into town and the ocean! Peek-a-boo ocean views, surrounded by tropical Hawaiian flora and greenery from every window. Featuring a Daikin mini-split Air Conditioner for fast and quiet cooling (trust us, you'll be very glad to have it in Hawaii!)

Relax at the end of a day of adventuring with a glass of wine on the spacious lanai while you watch the sunset. While we have an amazing view, it does come with a flight of stairs which may not be for everyone (shown in pictures).
This space is the top floor of the house with private lanai and entry, you'll have the entire top of the house to yourself! (Hosts live downstairs with their quiet and cute whippet mix pup)

The upper house features two bedrooms, one bathroom, laundry room, and a full kitchen. The spacious and fully covered lanai is accessible from the living room and bedroom via two sets of sliding doors and is the perfect spot for relaxing or dining while enjoying the views of the ocean.

The kitchen includes full-size stove/oven with pots/pans/baking equipment and all the essentials you'll need. Also includes a large side by side fridge/freezer with ice & water dispenser. Other appliances include stainless steel microwave, toaster, and kuerig mini.

Indoor and outdoor dining for four available. Enjoy sunset ocean views with a tropical breeze or with AC, whichever you choose!

Living area includes a 50" LG smart TV. Watch from the 3 person couch. Games and books provided for extra entertainment.

Primary bedroom has a King bed, 1 night stand, two large windows, a ceiling fan and a full closet.

Secondary bedroom has a queen size bed, one night stand, 2 large windows, a dedicated work space, and a full closet.

The bathroom has a combined bathtub/shower, and a private sliding door to the king bedroom.

Laundry room is completely private for you to use at anytime (no time restrictions). Detergent and dryer sheets included.

Free parking on the left side of the driveway, enough for 2 cars (1 covered under carport).

Guest access
You have access to the upper half of the house, which includes a full flight of stairs that is well lit at night.

This also includes 2 back-to-back parking spots on the left side of the driveway.

Door access will be keyless entry smart lock, code will be provided for contactless entry.

We have snorkeling gear, boogie boards, beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella, cooler, even a beach wagon to carry the gear for you!

Please be courteous and mindful that we, your hosts, live downstairs with our well behaved pup 'Bean'. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am

Very well furnished and clean, with owners that care

Very nice upper level two bedroom / one bath with everything anyone could need. Lots of little touches make it clear the owners care. Nice parking, well lit, AC and nice washer / dryer. Residential neighborhood near busy road but a nonissue. Close to everything in Kona especially central downtown. Great owners. Highly recommend.

Close to Kona!

Overall, nice home to stay for two people. The kitchen was nicely furnished. Parking was easy. Very close to downtown Kona, supermarket….my only issue was the too firm mattress on the queen bed.

House nestled in the hills

House is very clean with everything we needed for comfort living. Hosts extremely nice. This house is conveniently located away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown but a short drive to everything we needed like the restaurants, major department stores, beaches, and airport.

Beautiful & Clean

This rental is fantastic. It is upstairs from a residence but you have your own covered parking and outside stairs and entrance. It was still very private. The home is beautiful and well stocked. Contactless arrival was smooth and easy. Hosts were very friendly and easy to contact if needed. I would recommend to everyone and would definitely stay again.

Kona Vacation

The home was just right. Very clean and organized. We’ll-stocked with beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella, snorkel gear and beach toy. Washer and dryer on the front porch was very convenient and helpful. A/C worked like a charm and cooled the whole home well. Great location for driving a few minutes to Ali’i Drive or driving up to points north of Kona. Hosts were available and helpful when needed. Would definitely stay here again!

Simply perfect for your stay in Kona

This rental had absolutely everything we needed for our 5 nights in Kona. Nestled about 5 minutes from town, it gave us beautifully quiet nights and easy access to all the beaches and sights. The place was so tidy and cozy with ample space for a family of 4 (two teens) but they had everything set up for a stay with a little one including baby gates on the steps! The stocked kitchen made it easy for us to cook in a few nights and not have to buy things like sugar - it’s the small things that make such a difference. The beds were great and came with soft and firm pillow options. Eric and Christie even shared fresh Ono fish that they had caught that day with us ~ the complete Hawai’i welcoming experience. We made easy day trips up and down the coast and truly can’t recommend this place enough. I’ll be dreaming of my coffee on the lanai for a long time !

Great Host - Great Time!

The property's location was great. Eric and Christy were awesome host. They went above and beyond to make our stay welcoming. Their book was well done with great recommendations for restaurants and activities. They even gave us their Ninja Blender so we could make our smoothies. They were friendly and we felt like we knew them for years in conversation. They provided all we needed for the beach from chairs, umbrella, towels, boogie boards, cooler and a wagon! the location is About 15 minutes from airport. location to beaches were good. anywhere from 7 minutes to 40 minutes depending on where you go. We went to 4 beaches. The Black sand beach near volcanoe was an hour in half drive. the drive to volcano and waterfalls were about 2 hours. I highly recommend to stay here. I know we will stay there again when we come back.

Amazing! home fully equipped near main attractions

What a great place to stay! We were looking for a quiet place that could be a “base of operations” for our vacation, and this place proved to be ideal. It was close enough to everything while being away from crowded resorts. It is situated in a quiet residential neighborhood and doesn’t have loud partygoers that we were concerned we might find at a resort or a condo, but was only minutes from stores and the main tourist strip. The place was IMMACULATE! And it appeared to have been recently remodeled. Everything was essentially new and of high quality, from the furniture to the bedding as well as the fully-equipped kitchen. It was open, airy, and full of light. The owners live downstairs and are available for any problems, but the fact is, the place was so well appointed (from laundry detergent, shampoos, and conditioners to sunscreen and bug spray and a binder full of useful information about the home, places to eat and things to see) that we had no need to bother them, although we did bump into them occasionally when leaving/arriving and enjoyed chatting with them. They were careful to give us our privacy and we didn’t feel as if we were being monitored. In short, the place honestly exceeded our expectations and we will certainly stay there again when visiting the island.

Eric works full-time in construction on the West-side while Christy works as a telescope operator based out of Waimea. We also have a mini fleet of rental cars and love selling our fresh-caught fish to local businesses and the community.
Our favorite thing to do in Kona is enjoy the best deep sea fishing in the world catching marlin, ahi, and other Hawaiian fish!
