Eine reizvolle und authentische Besuch in der Pennsylvania Wilds! Die abgelegene große rustikale Lodge besteht aus zwei nebeneinander Flügel (Gebäude) von einem Deck Gang verbunden. Jeder Flügel verfügt über drei Stufen. Es gibt insgesamt 18 Zimmer, von denen jedes eine schöne Aussicht auf den umliegenden Wald bietet. Mehrere Wohnbereiche beherbergen komfortable Lese- und Ruheräume sowie Räumlichkeiten für Kunsthandwerk, Karten, Brettspiele und Gruppenaustausch. Bibliotheken laden Browsing. Weitläufigen Decks auf der zweiten Ebene jedes Flügels ermutigen ähnlicher Aktivitäten außerhalb.

Es gibt eine voll ausgestattete große Küche mit angrenzendem großen Essbereich; eine Küchenzeile ist auch für die zusätzliche Lebensmittelzubereitung zur Verfügung. Viele Köche können bequem zusammenarbeiten, ohne Rücksicht auf "verderben den Brei." (Gäste sind selbstverständlich für ihre eigene Nahrung verantwortlich. Empfehlungen für Catering und Restaurants in der Umgebung zur Verfügung stehen. (Es sollte jedoch angemerkt werden, dass Restaurants und Lebensmittelgeschäfte sind mindestens neun Meilen entfernt.)

Obwohl die Lodge ist rustikal es mit Komfort-Features gut ausgestattet, wie beispielsweise heißes Wasser Baseboard Wärme durch Erdgas aus Bohrlöchern auf dem Grundstück angeheizt. Einige Etagen sind Eiche Hartholz; andere sind mit Teppichboden ausgelegt. Kreativen Elementen vom Eigentümer Bauer in den Gebäuden eingeführt überraschen und begeistern die Gäste.

Eine große Scheune (unbeheizt) ist für Indoor-Aktivitäten zur Verfügung wie Hochzeiten, aktive Spiele spielen, Tanzen, Theateraufführungen, Präsentationen, um Gruppen, Yoga, Tai Chi, oder was auch immer Aktivität einen großen offenen Raum erfordert. Die Scheune, wie die Lodge hat große Terrassen für den Genuss der Waldlandschaft.

Es gibt einen Teich auf dem Grundstück und Wanderwege durch die 300 Hektar großen Felder und Wälder. Die Gäste genießen besonders die fotografischen Möglichkeiten und Naturstudie. Outdoor-Aktivitäten zur Verfügung, einschließlich Lagerfeuer und Spiele wie Krocket und Volleyball.

Die Einstellung ist geeignet für Versammlungen, Feste, Freizeiten, Klassentreffen, Hochzeiten, Seminare, Empfänge, und alle Arten von Musik und gesellschaftliche Veranstaltungen. Es gibt ausreichend Parkplätze für große Veranstaltungen.

Best party place ever

This was the coolest place to throw party. We booked a band and gathered 35 of our nearest and dearest to celebrate my wifes 40th birthday. It could not have gone better. 18 bedrooms accommodated us perfectly. The property was beautiful and private. Every single person in attendance started to immediately find excuses for us to come back. Highly recommend!

Great place for any event

Amazing place for any large or small gathering. Enough space for everybody to have their own privacy as well as everyone else to hang out and enjoy time together. Was winter time when we were up there and was still a great spot. Would love to see how this place is in spring and summertime. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful reunion spot

I booked this lovely property for a reunion of college friends. We had a truly wonderful time. The kids loved the ping-pong table. The adults loved the huge kitchen and large seating areas to catch up and just visit. We were thrilled with the stock of kitchen supplies, everything from cookie sheets to crock pots to cork screws! Whitney was very welcoming and friendly. She was available to us during our entire stay, but we didn't need to bother her. The place is laid out so well we were able to easily find everything we needed. I'd gladly book her place again for a future reunion. We had so much fun, I can't imagine we won't do it again.

Our stay was wonderful and Whitney was great to work with. However we did stay during an ice storm and lost power (no heat or lights) for a few hours. We also learned that the 2nd house’s upstairs bedrooms didn’t have heat. The facilities were clean and comfortable. The kitchen was perfect for feeding 22 people and we loved that the dining room allowed everyone to eat together. The facilities ensured our family had a super reunion weekend.

Extended family winter weekend getaway.

Awesome house for our annual family "winter vacation".Plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen was very well stocked and there was more than enough linens. The house was very clean and the property was just beautiful!

The house is very large, lots of space for everyone to spread out, and not be on top of each other. The house was very clean and very well taken care of. The property is beautiful, and the walking trails in the woods are lovely. The fireplace is really nice in the evening, and it's very pretty to just sit out by the pond.

Wonderful place for family reunion!

We had 35 people ranging from less than a year to 86. Very comfy, big kitchen, lots of places to lounge together or separately inside and out. The kitchen arrangement allowed for cooking while still being with everyone. We had a bonfire every night. Lots of electrical outlets. Nooks for book reading, places to walk. Close to Titusville to pick up groceries. So nice to not have to be split up at hotels and to have time together, in small groups, or privacy. A most lovely reunion. Would definitely do it again. Whitney was very flexible and responsive. We rented a lift chair for one of the elders and had no trouble with delivery and pickup. Plenty of room for eating, storing food, two refrigerators in house with kitchen.

Stress Relief Weekend

We have been having what we call a Stress Relief Weekend where a group of us go away for a weekend of eating, drinking, socializing, and just nothing for over 20 years. The place we used to go to was sold and I searched and found this lodge last year. It is perfect. It was very peaceful and lots of space for activities. The lodge was very clean. The kitchen was stocked with everything and anything you might need for cooking. Even though we are here in early spring and the weather has not co-operated, we still have a great time. We spread out - some are involved in a card game in the sun room, some are taking a nap, others playing games at the table, a few make a trip to Presque Isle Casino which in only 50 minutes away, and some of us cooking. It is spread out nice that no-one is on top of each other - sometimes you don't see some people for hours. We have definitely made this our annual retreat from now on.

Women's Retreat

A perfect place for a Women's Retreat. It was very peaceful and lots of space for activities. The lodge was very clean. The kitchen was stocked with everything and anything you might need for cooking. This would be a great place for any type of large gathering. We plan to return!

Weekend With Friends

Our group was here for the 5th time. We absolutely adore this place whether it is a weekend with just adults or children included. We've been here during different seasons. As far as activities there is much to take advantage of such as fishing in the pond, volleyball, horseshoes, ping pong or enjoying an outdoor fire. We always enjoy walking the trails on the property with hopes of seeing the bulls (fenced). We did have someone ride their bicycle from Titusville to Oil City and ride the train back. We always have a great time! Always looking forward to the next time.

Wonderful family weekend!

Woodland Lodge was a wonderful setting for our family weekend. Finding a place large enough to comfortably accommodate 26 people (4 generations ages 2 to 84) was not easy, so we felt especially blessed to find this lovely place. It was all we hoped and more. We were very impressed how clean, organized, and well stocked everything was! Margaret was so helpful and answered our multiple questions during the planning stages and Amy the property manager was incredibly helpful. Our heartfelt thanks to both. Our family had lots of togetherness, but plenty of space.

A Gem of a Spot!!

We stayed here for a family reunion - 15 adults (one of them in her nineties) and four babies under the age of two. We usually spend our reunions camping but with all the babies this year, that was going to be difficult. We were so happy we found this house! It was perfect! It's got a smattering of beds and baths so all the families had their own space. Everything was taken care of - linens, towels, soap, toilet paper, even a large coffee maker! This made for a truly relaxing experience. The property is extremely wooded and private, which helped us "feel" like we were camping but with all the convenience of a house nearby. We loved the quirkiness of the two houses joined by a large deck and all the old books throughout the place. We very much enjoyed the fire pit, volleyball courts, and walking paths. And the barn - wow! What a terrific place for a party, which is exactly what we held, complete with square dancing! Thanks so much to Margaret for being a pleasure to work with - timely, responsive, and professional. The only drawback is that it may be a bit of a drive to area attractions (this wasn't a problem for us since we actually didn't leave the site for our entire two-day stay and we still had plenty to do).

Reunion Gem!

This was our second visit to the woodland lodge with a large group of families, small children and couples. It's becoming an annual reunion for college friends! Plenty of room for everyone. Great assortment of rooms and types. Space for outdoor games, a campfire and huge barn. Last year the weather turned and the barn was a great way to escape the rain and still be able to enjoy everyone's company. Highly recommended lodge for large group. Margaret was very helpful and we look forward to another visit next year!

Family Gathering

The website photos and description are completely accurate. We found the lodge to be clean and perfectly acceptable for our families needs. The private spaces, (bedrooms), and bathrooms were clean and plentiful. We enjoyed traffic free and noise free family vacation. Kayaking, biking, hiking, book stores, yard sales, etc. are all available. The barn was perfect for sharing the talents of our family. We will recommend your lodge to anyone looking house a large group with ease.

The Marvel of Mother Nature With All the Comforts of Home

We had 23 people in our party; 14 adults, 9 kids (two of which were 2 or under). Margaret went above and beyond to answer the multiple questions I had prior to our visit. I was very satisfied with her honest answers and descriptions. The lodge itself is totally amazing! The main kitchen is well supplied for groups and there’s enough room for several cooks and helpers to work at various stations to prepare the meals or to cleanup. Many bedrooms have adjoining baths while others are nearby. The bedrooms are virtually sound proof when the doors are closed. We took advantage of all the sizable and comfortable gathering spaces on all floors in both wings. We also enjoyed the tables and chairs on the huge deck where we felt a strong connection with the peace nature offers. The roof is built such that it provides shade on the deck when the sun is out and shelter if it’s raining. Under normal rainy conditions we could have windows opened and no rain came into the rooms. The exhaust fans in both wings works great to keep the temperature comfortable on hot days. We built a fire in the fire pit nearly every evening using the firewood that was provided and gathered around it to visit and tell stories. We were pleasantly surprised at all the options for recreation that are provided for all ages. The fields had lots of wildflowers and we picked a small bouquet for our dining table which lasted the whole week. We walked the trails and enjoyed photographing. Nearly every room has bookcases of books filed by category; many interesting topics. We were settled for a couple of days before anyone found and turned on a TV. Most of the time we were too busy being together, playing games, and making our own fun that we didn’t consider the need for TV. Mobile phones are iffy at best on the property. Those who needed to participate in a conference call or make a call drove to Titusville to get better reception. This also gave them an opportunity to buy gas, groceries, or other supplies. The “barn” is a fun place. It has toilet facilities and a refrigerator/freezer available. There are many tables and chairs set up, a stage and mic. Honestly, when John built these fabulous structures he thought of everything! It’s a wonderful place for anyone who likes comfort and nature.

I am the on-site manager. I live at the lodge. It is a wonderful place to wake up every day. All the views are amazing and it is so quite and peaceful. I do a lot of kayaking in the summer, so I am not around the lodge much when I have guests. I enjoy meeting new people each week.
My family owns a few business. We make maple syrup and have a sawmill, which is where I work. I sell our maple syrup at the lodge. It's delicious!

We are very interested in sustainable forestry and maintaining wooded properties in our area as “working forests”. We have tried to exemplify this type of forest management through very careful and conservative logging practices along with the production of maple syrup on several properties. This resulted in us being named PA Tree Farmer of the Year in 2013. We love the Lodge, and want people to see how beautiful the forest is.
