A 2 bedroom suite by the Ocean is secluded at the forest edge with native trees and plants, full of wildlife (butterflies, hummingbirds, songbirds, shore birds, bald eagles, ravens and the occasional killer whale). Yet only 30 minutes from Victoria.

The property is located by the Pacific Ocean, with a spectacular view of the Olympic Mountains, across Juan de Fuca Strait. At the water level, one can view Race Rocks Lighthouse. Bring your kayak or paddleboard...

The house and suite are surrounded by majestic tree stand reminding old-growth forest and giving you lots of shade, yet southern exposure offers plenty of sunshine.
My wife operated a small yoga studio in another part of the building with a few classes only per week. If you are interested to join her, please inquire regarding availability. . .

Such a great vrbo

Stunning views

We stayed at this property for our first visit to Vancouver island. This was perfect for our family of 4. Louis was such a great host and the views are stunning. This was a perfect spot to be a little outside of all of the activity for peace and quiet but still close to Victoria as well as exploring the west side of the island.

It was a nice quiet place on the ocean near Victoria. The hosts were very kind and accommodating. It is located about thirty minutes from the Empress Hotel and 45 minutes from Butchart Gardens.

Beautiful property with gracious hosts!

This property is in a beautiful location on the water. We saw a lot of wildlife while relaxing in the garden. The place is very clean and well furnished. The property owners were very accommodating and were so kind to provide breakfast needs including fresh baked muffins. I would recommend this property to anyone.

Ocean-side Secret Garden

Our stay was magnificent! Nestled beside the ocean and on the edge of a forest this two bedroom destination is a delight. The owners are so kind and very helpful. Coffee, tea, dinner, and breakfast greeted us upon arrival. The beds were very comfortable and the sound of the ocean and birds soothed the soul. I highly recommend staying here if you want the beauty of the island but a break from the hustle and bustle.

Cosy house with a beautifull garden and view

The house is spacious and comfortabele, wonderful beds, everything you need is there. We really enjoyed the colorful and peaceful garden through which you can walk to the ocean in a few seconds. We were welcomed very hospitably by Suzanne and Louis. Great people who were always there for us when needed!

Garden and view are beyond compare!

Picturesque, darling, english garden leading to the water with white-capped mountains in the distance. I can't imagine a better view. The accommodations were comfortable, clean with many thoughtful extras. I even got to take a yoga class from the host. All in all, superb!

A great week in spite of the weather!!

We were both very pleased with this property, the only drawback I found was that the walkway getting to the suite was very steep but once there all was well. The hosts were most kind and left a card for us for our anniversary and even the makings for a dinner and muffins for breakfast- most appreciated and we will definitely consider staying again.

Great place, great hosts

We had a brilliant stay! Louis and his wife are excellent hosts, always friendly and helpful and the suite is spacious and clean. They provided us with a meal for the first evening, croissants for the morning and some real espresso! There is also a gas barbecue and a fire pit, over which we roasted marshallows to make smores - So we had a truly Canadian experience. The location is great: secluded, with its own little pebble beach, but still close to a beach and some coastal walking tracks. We saw harbour seals, sea eagles and ospreys. Wonderful!

Extraordinary

Beautiful quiet place! Private beach, flowers, butterflies, hummingbirds, otter. Fully equipped kitchen. Laundry. Separate entrance. Bus stop infront of the driveway (we had no car and no problem to explore Victoria etc). Grocery store nearby. Beautiful waterfall trail and beach for long walks close by. Caring and thoughtful host. Peaceful, walking retreat

I booked this lovely place without knowing anything of the area. It could not have been more perfect for what I was looking for. The bungalow is as described. The beach is just a slate tiled path away. The private, secluded beach was full of sea glass, exactly what I wanted. There is also a beach about 1.5km away, easy to walk or drive, is perfect ehen the tide is out. I’ll definitely consider returning to this place. Our host, Louis, was so friendly, helpful & caring. With first night dinner starter & morning breakfast accompaniments. Very kind! Thank you for sharing your home, gardens & beach.

Simply a unique location. And so close to Victoria. In fact, off our driveway, one can take the bus to downtown Victoria
Think of it: House is nested near a tree stand reminding you of an old-growth forest, Ocean front and a spectacular view of the Olympic Mountains.
Full complement of local native plants and trees, with butterflies, hummingbirds, songbirds, shore birds, bald eagles, ravens, and river otters swimming close to shore, and with some luck, the occasional Orca (killer whale) or Humpback whale passing by.
