Beach House at NeahKahNie (North Manzanita neighborhood) is a fabulous, funky, and fun beach cottage with majestic views of the beach and NeahKahNie Mountain. The Beach House overlooks the seven-mile stretch of sandy Manzanita Beach with beautiful views of the ocean and NeahKahNie Mountain. Catch the stunning sunsets and enjoy watching the kite flyers, windsurfers, and horseback riders from the deck, living room, or dining room.

The comfortable south side deck, with gas BBQ and outdoor furniture, is a perfect place to relax and enjoy watching the waves roll in. The kids will love playing hide-and-seek in this landscaped garden. Relax in the living area where there is a newly installed wall-mounted TV, or snuggle up by the wood stove and read a good book. If you are looking for a peaceful place to just escape from all your troubles then you have found it.

The kitchen has everything that the cook in the family needs with stainless steel appliances and plenty of counter space. The upstairs bedroom has two beds as well as a couple of cozy chairs to enjoy the incredible views. The main floor bedroom has a hall bathroom with a newly remodeled Spanish-style tiled shower. To access the lower floor bedroom you walk through the main bedroom and down the stairs where you will find the bedroom with new carpet, a private bathroom with a tub/shower, as well as the laundry room.

You are a quick walk to the beach, just steps down the path beside the house and you will be on the beach before you know it, ready for your day of adventure. The north end of the beach is perfect for tide pools and for shell hunting. You will fall in love with this vintage-style cabin with its million-dollar views.

THINGS TO KNOW
Dog-friendly. Two dogs max.
This home will have a seasonal gas grill that is generally available from May through September, depending on inclement weather.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

A classic “Beach House”

And that really is the name of the house! The three bedrooms, beds and pillows are good; lots of extra blankets and throws. Beds, baths are on three levels. Well stocked kitchen with great coffee maker, new dishwasher, microwave, huge frig and freezer. (Room for 8-10 flavors of yummy Tillamook ice cream!) From the spacious deck it’s an amazing view of the ocean. We wear there for hours every day, just watching the the waves, the changes with the tides, and people and dogs on the beach. You will walk for miles. Nice living room furniture perfectly arranged for 6-8 people, and round table for 6 next to the kitchen and the large deck. We will be back every year! May and Sept are great months to be at Manzanita Beach!

Beach House

The location cannot be beat and is very affordable. 60 seconds to the beach. I can't help to think that it is affordable because it is in dire need of updating. I don't think its been touched since the 70's. If you are willing to look past that, everything is there for a nice get-a-way.

Beach house

It was a cute house close to the beach. House is a little dated but had a well stocked kitchen with electric kettle, sheet pan, etc. A little weird that you had to go through one bedroom to get to another, but we just had the person who gets up latest stay in that room. That room also has it's own bathroom so wouldn't have to trapse through the other bedroom if they needed to use the facilities. Upstairs bedroom has no door but was fine for me since we all went to bed at the same time. Would be hard for a tall person to stay upstairs since it is quite low clearance especially going up and down the stairs, but I'm 5'2" so was fine for me. Would stay again.

Easy access to the beach

The view and access to the beach were amazing. The home itself leaves MUCH to be desired. Sloppy repair work, dingy furniture, poor beds and pillows, windows that are damaged. It is advertised as a 3 bedroom but to access one of the bedrooms you have to go through another bedroom. The stairs are very steep and narrow. Furniture that needs to be cleaned and wicker furniture that has mismatched outdoor cushions on it. cords and cables for the TV were poorly taped to hold them in place. Window and door trim was taken down and put back up without filling nail holes or painting them.

Wish I had bought this place back in 2010

I've been vacationing in Manzanita for 20+ years and this is the best location I've ever experienced. The north part of the beach is a really nice neighborhood with an amazing view. The house was small but cozy and we spent the whole weekend talking about how much we wish we had bought the place years ago. We will be back.

Great location. Has a couple issues.

We enjoyed most of our stay. The deck. Kitchen well stocked. Good location and view. A couple drawbacks: 1) Loud rumbling in downstairs bathroom. Ran morning, noon, night. Could not identify what caused it to kick on/off. 2) Access to downstairs bedroom was through a stairway that went through main bedroom or outside basement door. Kind of awkward. Otherwise, nice stay.

Beach House Review

The location and view for this house can't be beat - SO easy to get to the beach, and the view is spectacular. But otherwise out experience in the house was pretty mixed - it's a lot older inside than we thought from the photos. And while it's technically a three bedroom, you have to go through one of the bedrooms to get to the basement one, which would be really inconvenient if you are planning to stay there with three couples. The basement bedroom is spacious, but in the basement with thin carpet. We also let Vacasa know when we checked in that the bathrooms were not as clean as we would have liked. Vacasa was very responsive to our needs, but we would have preferred the house be clean when we got there. So, overall, a mixed review.

Wonderful view of sunsets

If you're looking for great views of the ocean, this place is great. I would stay here again. The place is somewhat dated but it's a beach house and I'm fine with a few quirks as long as the view is good. The place was clean and comfortable during our stay.

Stunning ocean view

The ocean view from each of the 3 levels of The Beach House were stunning. The beach access was easy for everyone in the 3 generations of our family who enjoyed a December visit. The house met our needs. It is not the most fancy of homes but it has a lovely beach house vibe. We would come back again.

Wonderful location. Odd layout and no AC but excellent view

Not all windows have screens and with no AC it got very hot. Also an odd layout all bedrooms are on different floors and one bedroom has stairs to another in the bedroom itself. Excellent view, deck and access to beach. Kitchen is very tiny.

Great view of the ocean

Great view of the ocean and great location! Easy access to the beach. Plenty of space inside the home for multiple adults and kids. It was great that there was a bedroom on the main (street level) floor for those who are unable to climb stairs as easily. We always bring our own supplies but they did provide the essentials and there’s 2 markets in town.

Mother’s Day family getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, this property was adequate. The proximity to the beach and the view from the dining area and deck were fantastic. The home was old and delightfully quirky. The accessibility from the management company was not ideal, as we had to pick the keys up from the rental company, in spite of the fact that there was a lock box on site. There was lovely art in the home. The lower floor bedroom had no heat or overhead lighting, or a privacy door and boasted fantastic 6 month+ dust. The vanity light switch coverplates in both bathrooms were filthy. The bannisters were terribly grimy. The television was completely inoperable. The kitchen had a fabulous array of dishes and service ware. There was a grill with no propane. The beds were super comfortable, yet the linens were barely pulled over the corners of the mattresses. Overall, this was a nice beach house. Considering the $200 cleaning fee and all the house keeping we were required to do before departure, the cleaning service was lacking. We enjoyed a lovely stay, all things considered.

Classic Oregon Beach Cottage with good ADA options

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We wanted a big picture window of the ocean, and we got it. Also got a nice deck at that same level to step out on. For one of our family, we needed very minimal steps into the property and to at least one bedroom/bath on that same main floor. This house fit those constraints. There are two steps into the house. Note that the other bedrooms all require stairs. All the kitchen appliances were good quality and very new. Stove, Dishwasher, fridge.If you want to cook, the kitchen works and is stocked. TV is also good and was easy to hook up our own Roku to watch March Madness. Also some of the artwork is pretty charming.Property has a sloped driveway. We chose to back in, so that if we need to leave at night, it would be much easier.The loveseat right in front of the TV is frankly pretty miserable to sit on. Get something cute at IKEA or on Wayfair and let that thing go. I already suggested they replace the deck chair where one bar was rusted through. For the record, i give a place a 5 when it meets the goals of what it's supposed to be. This is not a new house, but is well cared for.

Beautiful spot, somewhat old house

The location, deck, view and living room did not disappoint! It was a beautiful location and we are glad to have stayed there. The house is a little more run down than it appears in the pictures, there are weird corners that it's best not to pay too much attention to as is the case with so many old houses. We had a wonderful stay however, the location was unbeatable, and will miss waking up to the ocean!

Winter beach getaway

Location is perfect - less than a block to the beach and lovely views from the living room, master bedroom, and deck. Appears to be an older building that has now been surrounded by newer and larger houses. Layout of the interior is a bit odd - need to go through one bedroom to get the lower bedroom. It may be too cold for winter use anyway. Lower rating is for a nonworking dishwasher that still had old detergent in it making it likely this was an existing issue. Also the TV (about 14 inch diagonal) did not seem to receive public channels - one had to log on to premium channels. Small investment in better living room furniture and the TV would go a long way. Nonetheless the location cannot be beat and still a very enjoyable time.

Great Quiet Location, not well appointed!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house offered easy access to the beach and the views from the house were amazing. The house itself is very outdated however decently cleaned by Sunset Vacation Rentals. It feels smaller than the photos and the bathrooms were located on the main and the basement. We were not looking to do much cooking however what little we wanted to do was hampered by the fact that all items were very old and dingy. For example, the baking sheet had burnt on stains. The house also did not have any glasses or average-sized mugs for the modern day. The only mugs matched a very dated ceramic set that maybe held 2 oz. of liquid. The house's refrigerator was turned up so the temperature was not cold and it took me overnight to discover (I didn't think I had to adjust that), which accelerated or caused food spoilage. With a little effort, the house could be so cute and more welcoming.
