Welcome to Tahoe. Enjoy this adorably remodeled Carnelian Bay vacation rental. This inviting home is close to beaches, trails, and close access to prime mountain resorts. The perfect family getaway in a quiet neighborhood. Enjoy the new hot tub in a private setting in the back yard.

Located in a quiet neighborhood in Carnelian Bay, there are three close popular California ski resorts to choose from and you are also near pleasant trails less than ¼ mile from the home for hiking and mountain biking in and around Watson Creek and Tahoe Cross Country Ski Trails. In fact, you will find trails from here to Tahoe City and the town of Carnelian Bay. You are only a few minutes by car from both Tahoe City and Lakefront cafes. Near you will find several beautiful beaches including one to which you can walk if you don't mind an uphill walk home!

Main floor features the kitchen with all new appliances, living room, dining, bathroom, and deck access. Upper floor features two bedrooms, one with a king bed and one with a queen bed.

Location:
On a summer day, you are minutes from beautiful lake beaches such as Patton Beach near Garwoods. A short drive into Tahoe City or Kings Beach, and only 25 minutes from Palisades Tahoe, Alpine Meadows, and Northstar.

Parking:
Parking is available for 3 cars total. All cars must park on the driveway. No street parking per county ordinance.
Prepare for mountain or winter weather driving in winter months. This may mean Four wheel drive with snow tires or chains. Check weather or road reports. AWD and 4WD necessary to get up the mountain roads and some driveways in the winter months.

Other things to Note:
* Renters must be 25+
* This is a non-smoking home.
* Pets are not allowed at this home.
* Maximum Occupancy per county ordinance is 4 adults.
* Use of the BBQ is not guaranteed in winter months, due to limited access.
* Like most homes/condos in Tahoe, this one does not have Air Conditioning. There will be fans available for your use!

Weekend ski getaway

We had a wonderful stay! The kitchen was well supplied. We enjoyed the stove and the outdoor gas grill for cooking our meals. Laundry facilities included detergent and dryer sheets and worked efficiently. Cute and comfy living space! Loved the hot tub! Enjoyed seeing the full moon and the hot tub lights were fun!

Great cabin in Carnelian Bay!

We were pleased with this little cabin! Very clean and the rooms were comfortable. There were 4 of us on a girls trip and the accommodations were perfect! Coffee on the porch in the morning was delightful. The hot tub was refreshing after long days of hiking! We did have something open our car in the middle of the night but nothing was damaged! We did not leave anything inside, so that was a disappointment for the person or bear who was curious, lol! We would stay there again for sure!

This house is a gem!

My husband and our two boys stayed in this home for a week and it was wonderful! The home is inviting and comfortable and completely stocked. The kitchen had everything we needed to eat in, grill and sit on the deck in the evening to enjoy the cool nights. This home also had a lot of extras like lake chairs and towels and even a little cooler to borrow. It was perfect and I would rent this home again and again!

Ski trip

Despite very difficult snow conditions, everything went great. Had to communicate that we couldn’t leave the trash out as they were missing amongst the huge amount of snow - was no problem to leave in the unit.

As shown in photos, a few cleanliness issues

Overall a nice stay and the hot tub was hot and beautiful in the snow. The space looked like it did in the photos. However we noticed some cleanliness issues with the comforter in the primary bedroom. They responded quickly and gave us a refund for the cleaning fee which was appreciated.

Great Little House

Perfect location for us with family in other houses around and a beach within walking distance. The downstairs of the house is beautifully remodeled, easy to function in, generously stocked, with enough seating for guests. The upstairs is cramped and the dressers are full of linens so it was impossible to unpack for 7 days. The stairs are sturdy and safe so the downstairs bathroom is usable in the night, even for us elders. This house was overpriced, and I know it changes based on the time of year but for a house with one bathroom and tiny bedrooms, I paid too much.

What an amazing escape

My spouse and I had the most magical experience at this gem of a cabin. It is perfectly located close to town but far enough away to give you the real Tahoe experience. The cabin itself is beautifully appointed with amazing high-end finishes. The hot tub offers an amazingly tranquil relaxing touch that makes this cabin truly unforgettable. Lots of kitchen extras, fully stocked, and a fabulous suprise, heated floors!! Just be careful walking on the stairs, grippy socks are a must! Management couldnt be nicer and accomidating. Plenty of towels and the absolute perfect place to create memories that will last a lifetime. I know we sure did. We will definitely be back!

Nice, clean, modern

Overall, the house was tastefully updated and surprisingly cozy for a house without a fireplace. The kitchen is gorgeous with top of the line appliances and great sharp knives. Great hot tub and the beds were very comfortable. Not sure it's the best choice for a ski house, however, with the issue with the floors getting stained if they're wet -- and not many carpet to soak up any wetness from the snow. They could also hang a few hooks around to make it easier to hang coats and towels-- especially in the bedrooms since none of them have closets and the dresser drawers were predominantly filled with extra blankets and sheets and thus unusable by us. But if you have minimal gear and want to just have a nice place to stay while you enjoy town or make yourself a nice dinner over a weekend, it's a good choice.

Great location and home, but lacked some upkeep.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the home, location, hot tub, and most of the amenities. A big issue we had was after booking through VRBO, you work through a private vacation rental company. I expect more if they are privately managed. We had 3 inch thick sheet of ice on the steep driveway that made driving up and down dangerous, even in my 4x4 truck. No way we could clear It with shovel alone. The big one was not shampoo or conditioner and one toilet paper roll for the whole weekend.

Where was the snow plow

First, we thought the unit was great with a well appointed kitchen, good living space and terrific hot tub. Second, what astonished us, was the snow covered driveway and exterior stairs making it super challenging to get our Outback, equipped with 4 wheel drive and chains up the driveway. Third, we understand the challenges of snow and plowing, as long time owners of a home in Vermont. What struck us as unacceptable was the lack of response from the rental property manager, Tahoe Rentals after we spoke directly to them the morning of our first day. Moreover, all other homes in Carnellian Bay had plowed driveways suggesting snow removal companies were operating.

Mid-Century Modern rental that needs work and better check-in

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cute mid-century modern rental. Kitchen was very well stocked and comes with great amenities. However, the driveway, path leading to house and stairs were not clear if snow and ice for our check-in. Also, there are no closets in the bedrooms, and the entry closet was under reno so there was no where to hang anything, especially wet ski jackets! The bedrooms are upstairs with a very sharp angled staircase leading down to main floor where the only bathroom is. Caution if you’re going to the bathroom in the middle of the night!
