The Space:
The Leucadia Bungalows compound will be a special place for friends and family looking to travel and getaway together, offering four separate 2 bedroom bungalows. All units are named after the local beaches of Leucadia. In Summer 2022, we we released “Grandview” (a 2 bedroom 1 bath bungalow) and “Moonlight” (a 2 bedroom 2 bath bungalow). In Summer of 2023 we released “Ponto” (a 2 bedroom 1 bath bungalow, the mirror twin of "Grandview") and “Beacons” (a 2 larger bedroom 2 bath bungalow with an optional detached office) completing out the quartet.

Leucadia Bungalows is a vacationers dream. Every little detail of this property has been thoughtfully added with your stay in mind.
High-end furnishings throughout are accompanied by thoughtful additions like Youtube TV streaming services and high speed gigabit internet for folks working from (their new) home.
The kitchen is fully stocked with all essentials and additions cooking enthusiasts will appreciate like a K-cup Personal Coffee Maker, a french press and bean grinder, and a Nespresso Mini for morning pick-me-ups.
Both bedrooms are fitted with Casper mattresses. The primary bedroom boasts a king-size bed and full entertainment with a flatscreen smart TV. The guest room features a queen-size bed. The main living space also has a queen sofa sleeper (available on request for a nightly fee).
A private fenced-in backyard space with lush grass and patio furniture is equipped for outdoor dining from morning to night.
We provide everything you need to enjoy Leucadia like a local—boogie boards, beach toys, surfboards, umbrellas, coolers, you name it! If you find we’ve missed an item essential to enjoying your stay, just let us know, we’re happy to provide it.

Guest Access:
Sleeps up to five. One king-size bed, one queen bed, and a queen sofa sleeper (available on request for a fee). Guests have the entire bungalow to themselves along with a private fenced in yard. Yale keyless door entry coded uniquely to each guest.
The Neighborhood:
We added this property to our portfolio because we love the charm of Leucadia and its just a few minutes walk to the market, restaurants, coffee shops, and the beach.. It’s a true North County gem, located just 30 minutes North of busy San Diego and Leucadia is the north part of Encinitas, this laid back town promises a slower pace and some time to unwind. Just South of the home is Encinitas, Solana Beach, Del Mar, and La Jolla while going North brings you to Carlsbad and Oceanside.
Getting Around:
Two private parking spots are available, one is in a covered carport and the other parking spot is near the house on the property. The Encinitas train station is about a mile away. Note: while the bungalow is located on a quiet residential street, do be mindful that you’re still just steps away from the pacific coast highway, train tracks, and the hustle and bustle of Leucadia.

* 10% discount for stays 7 days or longer
* 17% discount for stays 30 days or longer
* Encinitas occupancy tax (10%) waived for stays 31 days or longer
* $100 Pet fee for additional cleaning is required for all stays that include any kind of dog, see below
* Stays longer than 21 days require a full cleaning approximately every two weeks
PET POLICY
We love dogs, and our policy is really pretty simple. If you are bringing a dog(s) we need them to be crated if left alone. If you don’t have a crate, we have ones you can use. We understand if your furry family members can’t stay off the sofa or bed; we do have special sofa blankets and/or beach towels to protect the furniture. We try our best to accommodate all our guests and can’t have dogs directly on the furniture as it’s unhygienic for others who might be more sensitive. We also incur extra cleaning fees to prepare for our next guests. Cleanliness and sanitation are very important standards to our overall business. For this, we do require an additional cleaning fee. Finally, we expect our guests to pick up any dog waste daily in the yards and rinse down the area where the waste was picked up.
CITY PERMIT DETAILS
City of Encinitas Permit RNTL-020404-2022. We expect our guests to keep noise down to a minimum as this house is located in a residential neighborhood and quiet times are from 10pm to 7am. We have a maximum overnight occupancy of 5 guests. Maximum of one parking space is available in the private carport. Trash is picked up on Monday mornings and all trash and recycle goods should be placed in the containers by Sunday night as pickup is usually very early.
Note our cancellation policy for longer term stays is different than what is published on the booking site, if your reservation is longer than 15 days please note our modified policy below.

We’re slight neat freaks over here (it’s a good thing, we promise).
Our top-notch team takes pride in meticulously preparing the bungalow for you. Here’s an in-depth overview of how we’re spending the hours leading up to your arrival.
First things first—let in that coastal breeze!
By leaving windows and doors open for multiple hours, the fresh air starts flowing in while we get to work cleaning. In addition to our normal routine, we now disinfect all high-traffic surfaces too.
Each and every bed linen piece (even mattress pads, pillow protectors, duvet covers, and blankets!) will always be laundered between uses. Regardless of use, all bath linens (shower curtains and bathmats, too!) are laundered between visits to keep things extra fresh.
Woah there! We hear you.
Folks have shared their sticker shock concerns when seeing our cleaning fee for the bungalow. We understand that our cleaning costs are high—hence why we’re breaking it all down for you here.
Our crews—from the family-team cleaning the living space to our partners tackling laundry—are all compensated with fair wages. We believe good, hard work deserves an honest living!
To get into the nitty gritty, we typically spend ~15 hours readying the space & laundering the linens (all 10 loads of ‘em) as detailed above.
Here’s the the thing: what you see (and pay for) is what you get. We want you to feel right at home each and every time you visit the bungalows, and a spotless space is essential to that experience.

REFUND POLICY
For stays less than 15 nights, a 100% refund for cancellations with more than 30 days notice given before the check-in date. A 50% refund will be given for cancellations between 30 days and 14 days before the check-in date. If cancelling with less than 14 days notice no refund will be given.
For stays of more than 15 nights and less than 32 nights in length, 60 days notice is required for a 100% refund. A 50% refund will be in effect for cancellations between 60 days and 30 days notice of check in date. If cancelling with less than 30 days notice no refund will be given.
For stays of more than 32 nights, 120 days notice is required for a 100% refund. A 75% refund will be in effect for cancellations between 120 days and 90 days notice of check in date. A 50% refund will be in effect for cancellations between 90 days and 60 days notice of check in date. A 25% refund will be in effect for cancellations between 60 days and 30 days notice of check in date. If cancelling with less than 30 days notice no refund will be given.
However, we understand events happen outside of our control. If you need to cancel inside the "no refund" window, we always refund all the cleaning fees and occupancy tax if it was collected. In addition, we will attempt to re-rent the property and will refund back to you at your nightly prorata rate all the nights that we are able to rent.
Interaction with Guests:
We like to have our customer service leader Stacey Peterson meet all guests upon check-in and give a tour of the property. Managing partner Keith Clarke lives a short drive away and is available via phone or text. If you find that the home seems to be missing something that you’ll need during your stay, please don’t hesitate to ask. We’re happy to accommodate requests.
