This home away from home is in a quiet and quaint neighborhood yet close to everything.
The house a large fenced yard, outdoor patio with a grill and sitting area. There is also a screened patio for you to enjoy. There is ample space with 3 bedrooms and two baths, large living space and dining area and separate kitchen.
Each bedroom has a smart television. The master bedroom has a desk ready for those who may have to work remotely. The house sleeps 6 in beds and another two with the use of the deluxe air mattress.
The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, utensils, serving dishes, wine glasses and more.
Our home is located less than two miles from downtown where there are countless restaurants, shops, museums and other activities.
Less than a five minute walk from the house is a hidden gem - Lassing Park has 13 acres of green space on Tampa Bay. This park with its sandy shoreline is great for swimming, paddle boarding, picnics or simply reading under the palms. Our favorite enjoys this as much as going to the gulf.
St. Pete is a very bike friendly city! There's also the Pinnellas Bike Trail for those who may be more serious cyclists.
The nearest beach is 6 miles away. Our personal favorite beach is Pass-A- Grille where there is the Paradise Grill and bathrooms. They often have live acoustic music, and a small open air market. Of course you can go simply for the sound of the waves and the sun on your face without feeling overly busy.
The city of St. Petersburg has the best of both worlds. You get the offerings of a cultured city with the laid back lifestyle typical of a beach/bay town. Head to a museum one day and sailing the next.
The Pier in downtown (5 minute drive, 15 minute bike ride) has something for everyone. If you have small children I highly recommend this be one of the first places you visit. They have a large play structure, beach, fountains for play and restaurants.
Also nearby are several nature preserves, Tropicana Field, The Rowdies Soccer Stadium, The Dali Museum , James Museum and the St. Petersburg Fine Arts Museum as well as numerous breweries, Farmers Market, regular concerts and live music and open air markets.
The small community of Gulfport is 5 miles from the house. There are a few adorable shops, galleries and restaurants. Pia's Italian Restaurant is a favorite of many.
The list of things to do and places to visit is long. There's absolutely something for everyone!
