Overall, my recent stay was pleasant, but several issues prevented a five-star rating. The cottage’s construction quality was subpar, with untaped drywall screws, poorly painted trims, and malfunctioning windows. The kitchen sink faucet had reduced pressure and made a “screaming” noise.Communication was lacking: there were no trash bags or amenities kits as promised, and the coin-operated laundry facilities weren’t clearly described in the listing, costing 4 per wash and dry cycle. We found dirty dishes, rusty can openers, a binky under a bed, stained sheets, and many spiders. The outdoor light didn’t work, which was a safety concern.Additionally, the WiFi had a very weak signal throughout the home, making it difficult to stay connected. On a positive note, the host was friendly and thoughtful, leaving extra space heaters that were helpful during the cold weather. The home was lovely, homey, and well-decorated with a coastal feel. The location was fantastic, close to the beach and in a safe area, allowing us to walk there with our children without issue. In general, the home felt unready as if they rushed to complete construction to start renting as soon as possible. There are many issues that would need to be addressed for a more comfortable and enjoyable stay and to earn a five-star review.
