Let me start by saying there was nothing wrong with this condo that necessitated calling management. If we needed to I certainly got the impression they would have been prompt. However, there are just a few things I think visitors to this condo should know. First, if you are traveling with children and plan to use the bunk room, there is a window in that room that leads to a hallway outside that has a security light shining directly into the window at all times. And, there are no window coverings that actually block the light. Just simple wood blinds and the room lights up, very, very bright in the evening. This room also has a very cute barn door for the entry. However, the door is not large enough and sits out too far leaving very large gap on at least one side and small gap on the other side so more light (and noise) comes in through that door. This is just not a great room for kids. We had to rig beach towels up to block, light sheets and blankets up to black noise and light. It was just kind of a bad set up for my son.
Another thing to be aware of is that the beach, while just a couple blocks away, is not connected by a sidewalk. For most of the walk to the beach, you are walking down a semi busy road until you reach a sidewalk. With kids and all your beach gear, it’s not great. There also is no wagon on site or any beach gear included. We knew this going in but without a sidewalk going to the beach and having to carry so much stuff down it was just a little hazardous over spring break. When it’s not so busy, that might not be an issue
This unit is incredibly clean, which I really appreciate. It was clearly recently updated, so I was surprised they did not upgrade the master shower insert, which is kinda old.
Overall, this is a great condo for the price. I was really happy with booking this somewhat last minute that the pictures truly represented the condo. I was worried that for the price it surely had more flaws than you could see in the photos. But no, very nice.
