Great condo on the beach

We loved staying at The Lighthouse. The location is great and easy to get in/out of. The condo was very clean and as described. The couch and bed could be more comfortable, but we don’t spend a lot of time lounging anyway. Loved the pools and hot tubs. We rented chairs from the beach service, and it wasn’t crowded at all. It’s a short walk on the beach to Sea & Suds which is great for lunch when you are on the beach. The water is a little cool still right now, so I would probably come later in the year next time.

An amazing view

The apartment is exactly as described in the web site. It's on the eighth floor with a massive balcony complete with a large table and 4 chairs and 2 stretch out lawn chairs. The king size bed is very comfortable. Two full bathrooms and a well stocked kitchen. There's an amazing tv channels package. There's a nice fitness centre on the main floor that we used every day. It's bit pricey but you get what you paid for. We stayed 6 days.

Perfect place to vaca

We loved the beach front location, parking garage, multiple pools, quick elevators and all amenities that Lighthouse offers. I contacted the owner about a change that needed attention and received a nice response. I have no reservations recommending this unit.

Great Time!

The condo was very nice. Perfect location and right on the beach! Close enough to the shops and entertainment but far enough you didn’t hear it all night. We did have a problem with the shower as soon as we arrived but Emily took care of it right away. It was a great vacation away! We will definitely come back!

Marriage getaway

Amazing property right on the beautiful white sand beach! Condo was beautiful, clean and had the absolutely perfect view of the Gulf! We loved every minute of our stay! The only thing I would say as a warning to my fellow VRBO travelers, this property was not as well stocked with kitchen / bathroom inventory as most other properties I have stayed at in the past. It may have been due to the time of year we stayed (less busy season), but there were no seasonings, coffee/tea, shampoo, lotion etc. They did have towels, makeup wipes, hand soap, and salt and pepper and a VERY limited amount of dish soap, dishwasher detergent and laundry soap. We had to do a Walgreens run for the basics, but there are several stores nearby, so definitely not a big deal. Overall, HIGHLY recommend this place for a marriage getaway! May be good for a couple with 2 SMALL children as well (bunk room is pretty small and has no view).

Some notes

All the coffee mugs were dirty, like chunks in the bottom. One sink in the master bath won’t drain unless you wait about 30 minutes. The master bath shower is painful to use. As in, it feels like needles sticking in your skin while you are standing under it. I love the Lighthouse, stayed many times. I won’t ever stay in this unit again.

Great location

I took a few days before writing this review as I struggled with what I wanted to say. PROS- Location, easy beach access, covered parking, great size for a family with young kids, loved having two bathrooms, it was nice to have several tvs, loved having full size washer and dryer, balcony was great, we enjoyed the pools, the code for the door lock made it easy to not worry about a key. The hosts were easy to contact through text. They had extra bedding in the closet, a box fan, a bed rail in the kid room, plenty of plates and cups (though some plastic cups would be good addition for small kids). We brought our own Keurig. There are enough things in the kitchen to do basic cooking. NOT SO GREATS- This is where I hate to leave an honest review. The condo was definitely not as clean as it should have been when we arrived. The floor was dirty and sandy, there was dirty splatter on the cabinets, walls, and inside of the microwave. There were huge dust bunnies under the bed that were clearly visible from the main area. When I swept some of them out I found a pill (concerning when you have small kids) and a toy. The closet to the beach toys had a THICK layer of dust on it as well that fell off in chunks when I wiped it. Towels had stains on them. The closet where the trashcan was kept was not swept out and the can was very dirty. I did contact them and they said they could send out the cleaner. But honestly, after a long drive who wants to wait around for someone to have to show them and point out how they did not properly clean stuff? How awkward is that? Then after a few days we started noticing roaches. We contacted them and they sent someone to spray for them. So of course they came out to die the last two days we were there which really put a damper on the end of the trip. I understand that we are in a warm climate with shared walls. However, considering the nightly rate and cleaning fee, these are not things that you should encounter. I hate to leave these things in the review as I know this is their business. OTHER THINGS TO NOTE- the shower in the master bath has crazy hard pressure, there are some toys and chairs you can use at the beach, they supplied us with two small rolls of TP for both bathrooms, a roll of paper towels, half of a small bottle of dish soap, two trash bags, and two dishwasher tablets. So if you stay, plan accordingly.

Spring Break

We arrived and there were 4 forks (2 large 2 small) there were 5 hangers and the floor hadn't been mopped. This was rectrified the next day.The toilet seat in the master bath is falling off. Half of the dishes were dirty when taken out of the cabinets and half of the pots and pans were dirty. One of the rent a cops had quite the attitude. It was storming in the area. Kids were in the indoor pool and he came in and demanded that everyone get out of the pool as there had been a lightning strike 8.8 miles away. He then informed everyone that until there wasn't a lightning strike within a 50 mile radius the pool was closed. He was quite rude .The last time I checked the building would be grounded and I would have a better chance of winning the lottery. Had we known that there was construction going on we probably wouldn't have stayed there.
