The little Blue Cottage on the Lake is a charming home set on a 3 acre lot in private North Georgia gated mountain community of Talking Rock Creek Resort. Home sits on a 10 acre private lake with a gentle walk to the water. Enjoy listening to the frogs croak and the birds chirp on the screened in porch facing the water.
Fish right from the yardin the stocked, privatelake or amble down to the pavilion to feed the ducks. 2 Kayaks, life jackets and john boat are also available for guest use. Community also offers 2 swimming pools, tennis court, playground and basketball court, and walking trail. Carter's lake is just minutes away for boating, swimming, fishing, hiking and more. This is also a great launch point for mountain hikes, wineries, and breweries.
The cottage is ready for comfort, cooking and hanging out with the family! Features 3 bedrooms with plush king beds, dish enabledt.v. and ample closet space. One of the 3 bedrooms and full bath are on the main floor.Inviting open concept living and dining room is a great place to hang out in the evenings and play board games. The living spaceleads to the wrap around screened inporch that stays cool with 3 largeceiling fans. Dine al fresco on the porch at the farmhouse table and watch the ducks swim into the sunset.
Cooking at the cottage is easy! Fully stocked country kitchen includes electric range, oven, convection microwave, Instantpot, coffee maker that brews full pot, single cup or k-cup. The stocked spice rack will also make cooking on the gas grill even tastier! Large outdoor gasgrill features side burner and rotisserie. The fire-pit is also a great place to hang out and make smores or have a dinner of fire roasted hot dogs.
The cottage is family friendly including well behaveddogs! Dog bowls, balls and towels just for Fido are included.
Washer and dryer help you stay fresh and clean even after outdoor fun. Outdoor hose is also included if your dog likes to chase ducks into the water as much as ours does!
Level 2 electric vehicle charger with J plug is installed! Plug fits most vehicles, bring an adaptor if you have a Tesla. Next closest charging station is over 20 miles away so don't sweat it and plug in!

Peaceful Retreat

Beautiful and spacious cottage on the lake provides the perfect backdrop for rest and fellowship. Beds were amazingly comfortable. Rooms well maintained and stocked with nice touches. Would stay here again. Host was responsive throughout.

Awesome lake house getaway!

Booked this cabin as a last minute weekend getaway! It's on the lake and my husband and son LOVE fishing! We have a johnboat of our own but was thrilled there was one already there. My son and I enjoyed the kayaks even more! Had a great time. Check in process was great and communication between host was awesome and informative. Would've liked a note maybe in their welcome binder about how they'd like the linens and things handled prior to late the night before check out as we left out early the next day but that's the only thing that could be improved on. Had a great time and would book again!

Cottage weekend

Very beautiful, nicely stocked with everything you need. The pond was very nice, feeding the geese & seeing the deer was enjoyable. Campfire site was very nice. Thank you for sharing you home with us. We would definitely be back.

Amazing Little Blue Cottage on the Lake

From check in to check out- the process was smooth. The owners/managers were communicating with all the details. The pretty cottage has a lake in the back and all amenities inside. The kayaks were super helpful - we had a great time with family. We played tennis and pickleball at the Rec center - and enjoyed the outdoors in the evenings with our own sola stove - The electric charger was the cherry on the top as we brought our Tesla. Thank you- we’ll be back.

Awesome home on a lake!

We stayed 5 days at the Cottage and really enjoyed it. Any trip we take, we take with our dogs in mind and this was one of the best yet! The setting was so peaceful and a good base for visits to the area towns, hiking, and sightseeing! Thanks for sharing your place!

Beautiful home and wonderful hosts!

What an excellent stay! I can not recommend this place enough. The amount of care that the hosts took to provide such comfortable accommodations is so greatly appreciated. And the property itself was phenomenal and was even better than the photos showed! Book it, you won’t regret it :D

Great Wedding Venue Location

My son’s wedding was at 2400 On The River. This house was about 15 minutes from the venue. It was perfect for our family. Very clean, comfortable beds, beautiful view of the lake. We enjoyed watching the baby deer by the lake in the morning and the hosts were excellent. If you have a special event in Ranger, we highly recommend staying in this home.

Perfect Lakeside Retreat for a Relaxing Getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this lake house. The location was perfect, with easy access to the water and beautiful views. The house was comfortable and made for a relaxing getaway. Great Get Away

A wonderful getaway.

We had a wonderful stay at the little Blue Cottage. We took our 95 year-old mother and she was quite comfortable. the layout of the cottage was perfect for us and it was very clean. The main attraction to us was the fishing. A very scenic and private lake stocked with plenty of fish. I highly recommend this for your next stay. The hosts were very responsive to our communications. We will be back.

Great Time on the Lake

The location of the property was great and right on the lake. We enjoyed our stay and made s’mores by the fire pit. The grill was great although we did need to get propane as the tank was empty. The dishwasher was also a little broken, but it still worked fine. All in all, it was a great stay with beautiful scenery, and I would definitely book again.

Absolutely Wonderful!

If you’re looking for a quiet getaway with a home that has everything you need for a relaxing stay (and I mean everything) look no further! We had the best stay at this little cottage on the lake! We fished, we grilled, we relaxed all in between attending baseball games and going antiquing all over northern Georgia! There are amazing wineries less than 45 minutes away….the Fainting Goat is a much see with an amazing view and great wine! If you’re looking for a quiet get away in Northern Georgia, this is your place!

Fantastic getaway!

Wow! Nice house with a great porch on a beautiful property in a picturesque setting. So peaceful and relaxing. Our dogs had an even better time than we did and are so exhausted. My wife and I drove around a bit to look at the rest of the resort area and the pool, but our teenage daughter and her friend had no intention of leaving the property. It says something when you can get two 18 year-old girls to leave their phones and just hang out by the lake or on the screened in porch. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Beautifully decorated. Plenty of space, Calm and Serine. Loved the lakeview, screened porch. Kitchen was spacious and well appointed. Fluffy towels, beautiful linens on bedding. Thanksgiving 2022

Every year my family (who are spread across three states) gather in North Georgia for the week of Thanksgiving. This year we selected The Little Blue Cottage on the Lake. It was perfect for our family. My young grandsons loved playing in the vast yard with our dogs while looking for deer tracks. In the evenings we enjoyed roasting marshmallows over the fire pit. We had great communication with the owner with quick replies to all our questions. This is great rental for a multi-generational family get away. Would consider renting this cottage again.

Christmas at the Little Blue Cottage

The Little Blue Cottage is a charming place with a wonderful pond and firepit. We were pleased to arrive for our Christmas get-a-way to find a tree and garland decorating the living area. The beds were clean and comfortable, adequate seating, sufficient dishes and cooking supplies. Many little 'extras' were provided. Definitely a retreat from civilization. Don't plan to do any on-line work, as the internet does not support much. Could not stream movies to entertain the children without constant buffering. A little attention by a handyman would upgrade this location to an excellent rating.

Mountain lake to ourselves

Everything as advertised - little lake with nice clear water, comfortable beds and seating, ceiling fans, plenty of linens and fully outfitted kitchen (with sharp knives, yay). The freezer works quickly so the two ice cube trays were enough for two people, would recommend bringing ice for larger groups. Water pressure in the shower was good. Kitchen tap has a filter on it for drinking water. You can see the lake while lying in bed! The other two houses are not so much on the lake as above it. The gently sloping lawn will seem steep if you're not used to mountains. We went to Carters Lake for big water and bigger fish. Host promptly replied when we had a question at check-in. Entrance and main level would be great for a stroller but not a wheelchair. P.S. Our dog had a great time too.
