Don’t Book! Nightmare!!

Overall do not stay in this house! They are scamming people! They say they are military family yet took advantage of one!! Still owe me my refund and refuse to answer VRBO to give the okay to refund my money! This place was not clean it was very unsanitary and there were drug paraphernalia in the backyard! Towels wet and dirty on the bathroom floor and one of the bedrooms the sheets were dirty in the floor claimed that the house keeper cleaned it! The pool was disgusting!! I have videos pictures and everything of this place. I was very nice and even gave them benefit of the doubt when they had not given me my refund!! Gave them time to even be a person and refund me the cash but nothing! My marine sone came home for Labor Day weekend and spend time with his family and they ruined the entire trip and refused to refund us our money!! We were respectfully informing them of the situation of their home and the awful conditions it was in when we arrived. I asked they refund my money because I was not going to expose not only my adult child but my other children ages 5-17 to this type of unsanitary and health risk situation the home was in. So please people do not book with them!!!! Save yourself the money, the trouble and heartache and the loss of time!! They need to do better. As for the host you should be ashamed of yourself for what you have done to my family and I!!!

DO NOT STAY HERE

This dilapidated house hasn't been taken care of in well over a decade. From no doorknobs to a crumbling front staircase..to rails on the deck being broken to a broken dishwasher w moldy dishes that had been sitting there for months and then being told to "throw them away" ugh..I could go on and on. The worst part was all the shattered glass on the second floor balcony, in the master bedroom, on the ground near the swimming pool...it was a huge safety hazard. I even messaged the owner days before arriving because I had concerns reading the past reviews and he reassured me it would be clean. Needless to say, we all ended up in a hotel. So unless your a bunch of 20-somethings looking for a place to throw a raging keg party...STAY AWAY.

Absolutely horrible. Stay away

We arrived at the property around 6:00 pm on the day of check in. As soon as you walk into the house it smells like cigarette smoke and cat pee. The whole place was absolutely trashed- dirty dishes in the sink, food left out, dirty bathrooms, ants, dirt on the floor, beer cans in the yard, dirty underwear in the living room. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned between guests but also like it hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned in awhile. There weren’t any clean towels and there were no sheets on the beds. I spoke with the host and he said that he mistakenly thought our stay started on Sunday instead of Wednesday and blamed it on a technology issue. Instead of fully refunding our stay like we requested, he sent us back $1,500 and kept the rest because he had it “ready by 5:00 the next day”. However, when I called the next day (Thursday), he didn’t answer or return my call and I didn’t hear from him until Saturday after 9:00 pm which is when he told me that it was ready on Thursday. His excuse was that he was out of the country and didn’t have service to let me know on Thursday like he said he would. The cost for accommodations for our trip doubled because he refused to refund the rest of our money and we had to find somewhere last minute for 8 people. The owner clearly doesn’t care about his reputation or the condition of the property, he just cares about taking people’s money. I have no idea how this place is still allowed to be on VRBO.

Nice get away

I was hesitant about stay because of the reviews but as soon as we set foot inside those worries we're laid to rest. The rooms were nice hot water worked excellent really nice decor. Only this was we had a hard time working the tvs. Other than that I would love to book this home in the summer for the younger family because of the pool and the space.!! Thanks for an enjoyable New Years!!!

Avoid - Absentee Owner and dishonest Property manager

The day prior to arrival I read a damning review. I immediately contacted property manager to ensure that this was not the accurate condition of the property. I was assured that the prior review was written by a disgruntled lessee who was only leveraging the review process to get a refund and that the comments did NOT reflect the property's condition in any fashion. Upon arrival (7:30pm), we were confronted with a house smelling of smoke, broken steps by the front door, an ant infestation and dog urine on the floor. Plus, burnt-out light bulbs, broken front door lock and oven. We immediately notified the property manager who forwarded our call to the owner. The owner apologized but assigned blame to 3rd party maintenance and cleaners. He did return our $ but at this time our vacation was turned upside down and all logistics and planning ruined. We had to scrambled for alternative lodging and ultimately had to stay at 3 different hotels and pay inflated prices due to last minute bookings. This was my first time using YRBO and now my last. Avoid this property!

Want Refund.

This place is a dump. I came here for a golf weekend with friends and the experience was laughable. I’ll just list everything: The pool was neon green There were dirty dishes everywhere Laundry thrown on couches A lot of ants Chairs, blinds, and windows broken Patio furniture kicked in Banisters kicked out Towel racks kicked off Hot water didn’t work TVs didn’t work Oven was locked Playroom smelt like puke There are cameras The place was also wide open on arrival. The owner never spoke with me. Instead I spoke to her giggly husband. He offered me a refund and ghosted. The cops came at 7 PM! They told me the place has a history of hosting big parties and the renter was kicked off the other site. Don’t rent this place.

A relax time away from all of life's craziness

I was skeptic of booking the property because of the large pond right next to it, thinking bugs might be in abundance. We rented the property the last weekend of July. Pleasantly surprised that there were barely any bugs and nobody on our trip got bit by a mosquito once (very surprised.) The pool was amazing to use, the house was huge, with many rooms. Jazmin was very responsive, even replying late at night. Couldn't have asked for a better stay and host. Hoping to book again in the future.
