★"The location is perfect for beach combing and sunset views."★
★"By far, this Airbnb was our favorite. The house was GORGEOUS! Even better in person than in the photos!"★
★"My husband and I have stayed at our fair share of airbnbs and this has by far been the best one. It’s so beautifully decorated, we felt like we were staying in a friends home instead of an ikea furnished shell. The porch was our little sanctuary with breathtaking views. We can’t wait to come back with friends and family in the future!"★

Everyone’s favorite room is the screened porch and it's the perfect spot to watch stunning views of the sunset over Mobile Bay. It runs the entire length of the house and is furnished with a large dining table that seats six, an oversized cushioned porch swing, and a pair of vintage lounge chairs. It overlooks not just Mobile Bay but also a boat basin full of turtles, frogs, fish, and the occasional alligator. We keep several pairs of binoculars on the porch so you can get a closer look.
Two pairs of french doors open onto the porch from the great room. It has vaulted ceilings, a nice fireplace that is just for decoration and a spiral staircase that leads to the loft. The loft is a perfect retreat for the young and nimble. It is furnished with two twin xl beds and a window seat with a view of the bay.
There is a little office off of the great room that has a small desk perched in front of a window giving great views of the bay. It’s a great place to work on your next novel, or even your first!
The kitchen has a full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and gas stove with an oven and its full of pots, pans, dishes and utensils. The laundry room has a stacked washer/dryer.
One of the bathrooms needed updating, so of course we removed everything down to the studs. Now this bathroom has a brand new tiled shower, new toilet and new vanity with a wall mounted faucet. The second bathroom has a tub/shower that has been updated with a hand shower, more contemporary plumbing and a new toilet. It already had a nice white tile surround and cast iron tub. Both bathrooms are ensuite. Each of the two bedrooms has a California king size bed. The rear bedroom has a set of french doors that open onto the screened porch. The bedding is linen from West Elm.
We've installed an EV charger - It is a 24 amp 5.7kw charger and the J1772 Wall Connector is compatible with most North American electric vehicles. Tesla vehicles will require an additional SAE J1772 Charging Adapter to charge, which is included with Tesla vehicles upon delivery.
We decided purchase the home where we want to retire and for now, we’re sharing it with you! It’s just three doors down from our current house. Yes - we love the neighborhood so much that we bought another house just down the street. The home, designed by local architect Douglas Kearley, was built as a replacement for his family's original summer house that was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. He sited the home perfectly to capture gorgeous sunset views from the back porch and all of the shared spaces in the home!

We've got room for two cars in the driveway - Please don't park on the grass! You can explore the neighborhood on foot, but the real star of the show is Mobile Bay - We recommend taking a walk on the beach at least as far as Red Gully (to the south) to get a feel for the natural beauty of Mobile Bay!
We live down the street so we're always available! When we can, we like to greet guests in person and give a quick tour of the house.
Our home, located on Mobile Bay, has stunning views of the sunset from the screened porch which runs across the entire back of the house. We love our quiet neighborhood on Mobile Bay. Montrose, Alabama, a registered historic district, which is nestled between Fairhope and Daphne on Scenic Hwy 98. You'll see kids headed down to the beach on bicycles with buckets and fishing poles and neighbors casting shrimp nets hoping for a jubilee. You can walk along the bay front beach to the north or south as far as your feet will take you. The sunset here is fantastic over the water. From the expansive 12x40' screened porch we have an extraordinary view.
There's room for two cars in the driveway.
Remember that you're staying in our home, not a hotel. Please treat the space with respect. If you need anything, reach out - we’re just down the street!
