Enjoy your dream beach vacation at Buckroe Beach or visit family at any of the nearby military bases in this relaxed, bikeable beach town. Newly added an outdoor shower to hose off you or your dog. Just a block walk to beach access and two blocks from Buckroe Park. After your day at the beach, relax on the deck or in one of the hammocks and listen to the waves. Your kids and dogs will enjoy the fenced-in yard on this corner lot. Amenities include full kitchen, outdoor gas/charcoal grill, smart TVs and free wi-fi. We have 3 adult bikes! We include beach chairs, bocce, corn hole, outdoor shower, beach wagon. Two-and-a-half miles from historic Phoebus' restaurant row. Less than 20 miles from downtown Norfolk, 30 miles in either direction to Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, Busch Gardens; 6 miles to Langley AFB, 16 miles to Naval Station Norfolk, 24 miles to Ft. Eustis. Family pass to Norfolk Botanical Garden available for guests.

Very enjoyable home

Family and dogs enjoyed our stay. House was clean and had everything we needed. Highly recommend staying here. Convenient location to the beach and short drive from highway to Norfolk.

Perfect beach cottage!

Super cute and clean cottage that has absolutely everything you could think of! The hosts made us feel right at home. Our dog enjoyed the fenced in yard and meeting other furry friends along their walks. Very short distance to the beach where not many people are at. The perfect beach get away without all the hustle and bustle of a crowded area. Highly recommend!

Cozy getaway

The property was great, clean and quiet, out door furniture was very pleasant. Plenty of details from food to amenities. The Beach was a block away and we found great places to eat within 20’ drive.

Perfect Thanksgiving Retreat!

My father and I stayed here for the week of Thanksgiving with our two pups. The cottage was comfortable and adorable. Dan and Susan were such thoughtful hosts making sure there were dog toys, bowls, and towels for our pups to feel right at home. Our beagles had a great time in the yard and walking along the Buckroe waterfront. We choose this cottage so we could easily commute to see family on both sides of the water. It was the perfect location and such a cozy accommodation to retreat to each evening. The kitchen had everything you need if you choose to cook. Everything was exactly as pictured and it truly felt like a home away from home. Thank you for a great week.

Perfect Getaway

Nice, Quiet Location

Close to the beach with many extra little touches that make this place feel like home. Owners made us feel comfortable & answered quickly when we had questions. House is small but has a nice layout so you feel like there’s a lot of room.

Perfect cottage close to the beach

What a nice property and neighborhood within steps of Buckroe Beach. This cottage with a fenced in yard was perfect for my husband and I and our small dog. This was our second time vacationing at Buckroe and we will definitely recommend staying here again. Until next year, thank you Susan and Dan!

Beautiful Beach Cottage

This was a wonderful property! Highly recommend! Great location, lots of extras thought of, dog friendly, but best of all were the owners! Super responsive and friendly when we needed something! This is a great rental that we will absolutely stay at again!! Loved the beach and everything about it!

Great Little Beach Spot

This was a very nice little bungalow located a VERY short walk from the beach. The house was clean and very well equipped, and the owners were extremely communicative and helpful with some great recommendations. The town is a bit sleepy and there isn't much of a "scene" here but that worked well for us and we found it to all be super chill and completely lovely. We had the beach almost to ourselves most days and the waves and weather cooperated nicely. The neighbors and townfolk were all very friendly. We left ready to find our own little place at Buckroe.

We are a retired military family who moved to the Hampton Roads area to enjoy the beach life, and we love being able to share that with our guests.

We love this neighborhood because it's a quieter, more relaxed beach vibe than the more touristy spots. The beach is less crowded and the park space is great for picnics, biking and kids. It's also centrally located among Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Williamsburg, so if you do want to get out and do something, you have easy access to everything the region has to offer.

The corner, fenced-in lot makes our property the perfect spot for visitors with dogs and kids, and the proximity to the beach is ideal. It's a small, cozy space, but the layout makes it feel open and comfortable. We have all the amenities you could want, including a full kitchen with multiple coffee-brewing options, hammocks, outdoor shower, charcoal and gas grill, bikes, outdoor games (cornhole, bocce, putting mat), beach toys and a comfortable deck to have morning coffee or to sit and relax and listen to the waves after a day at the beach.
