OCEAN SOUNDS : one bedroom two floor beach apartment with a stunning view

The unit has a main level with a living room and eating area, a bathroom, and a kitchen. The upstairs bedroom has a bathroom and a deck overlooking Grand Case bay and Anguilla. TV is provided (Internet-based programming). Wi-fi coverage is throughout the unit and on the beach below.

Grand Case beach has pretty much everything you need to relax your day away. Friar's Bay and Happy Bay can be both reached on foot should you require a change of scenery. The fun-filled Orient beach is a 10 minute drive.

We have a friendly, knowledgeable property manager who will help you with any questions that you might have during your stay.

There are no chain hotels or restaurants anywhere in Grand Case - only authentic small intimate hotels and unique restaurants serving outstanding original food. The vast majority of the top 10 restaurants on the island are within a 10 minute walk of our apartment. The Dutch side has more North American restaurant options and is only a short drive away.

A car is not required for your stay but is nice to have in order to see the rest of the island. There is parking in front of the building. You can also rent a car in Grand Case for a day or two as needed.

Gut: Sauberkeit, Ausstattung, Zustand der Unterkunft und Kommunikation

This is a VERY nice property and it's right on the beach. Literally out the door, down the stairs, through the hallway and you're on the beach! Both floors have a beach/ocean view that cannot be beat! Everything is new and clean in this Apartment/Condo. The accommodations cannot be beat especially on the best beach (in my opinion) Grand Case Beach! Things to be aware of: 1) There is 1 flight of stairs to get to the apartment/condo 2) Parking is very difficult/dangerous. It's a very busy road and if you pull-in front-ways into the parking spots (there are only like 6 small spots), you will have to then back out onto a busy road. I tried to back in each time, but that is dangerous as well because most drive very fast. You need both lanes to back out so you have to have someone really go out on the road and stop the traffic and they don't always stop. I found it a little easier to park across the street. If you get a rental car, DEFINITELY get insurance. Things to improve/add: 1) Microwave - DEFINITELY need this so you can heat-up leftovers! 2) Washer/Dry Combo unit - it's just a washer only in the unit and you have to hang you laundry to dry outside which will likely take 2 days. We washed once and then said no more. We needed a dryer. 3) Would be nice to have a blender to make frozen drinks. 4) Safe no longer works so either needs replaced or removed from the amenities list. 5) Dark shades to cover the windows upstairs so you can sleep past 6 or 7am. Overall, LOVED it!

Melody of Ocean Sounds

The sound of the waves at Ocean Sounds was magical music to our ears. The condo was clean and bright and decorated with funky art. For the chef, the kitchen was well stocked with necessities. Petr was responsive to our questions and Victoria was very pleasant to deal with at arrival and departure. We hope to return next year.

Overall it is a very nice place to stay. We actually had stayed in this unit prior to Hurricane Irma 2017 and we’re glad that it has been restored. It’s right on Grand Case beach. Easy walks to the bars and restaurants as well as Happy Bay Beach! Convenient for us since we attended the SXM Music Festival that week. Only drawback- which isn’t the owner’s fault- was the daily water shutoff. So no using the showers, sinks, or toilets for many hours of each day. St. Martin is still going through repairs and recovery
