STUNNING VIEWS!! This stylish new ground level condo is centrally located within minutes of all the New River Gorge National Park has to offer. Ziek's Place allows you to enjoy the peaceful tranquility of country living all while being within a 15 min drive to popular hiking trails, mountain biking, rafting, mountain climbing, horseback riding, etc. Also within 15 mins is the quaint little town of Fayetteville, which offers shopping, dining, and gear for all your outdoor adventures.

For you winter adventurer's we are located 45 minutes from Winter Place Ski Resort!!

This home features 2 separate units. The unit you will be staying in is the ground level unit. The unit has a private separate entry and separate outdoor area/firepit. Large, shared parking area (2 car maximum for each unit).

Guest will have access to the entire ground unit and separate outside living space/firepit.

Other things to note:

Self Lane is a gravel country road and country roads can be bumpy or rougher at times than paved roads. 4-wheel drive or AWD may be needed in the winter to access this unit there is an incline going into the driveway and may be slick in the winter.
This is a lower-level unit and guest may experience noise from other guest at times. 2 portable white noise machines are provided and can be used in any room in the unit.

Perfect place

We stayed here for two nights, it was great and very accurate description of the property. Very nice outside area to eat and a firepit. It was a comfortable place to rest. Convenient but far enough out to enjoy the country. Very safe.

Beautiful property and lovely owners

We had a very nice and relaxing stay. The house is very nice, and the area is just amazing. We were there to scout out future vacation spots, and potentially a retirement location. We were not disappointed !

Perfect

Probably just stay here for the rainfall shower. My best friend and I stayed for a weekend and took best friends pictures and it was perfect on the mountain for the back ground. Everything was super clean and the owners were very quick to respond if you had any questions. They also had games at the house to play if you didn’t want to go anywhere :)

Nice Property with a Nice View

House was clean and nicely decorated. Has some unusual features. For ex, I liked the use of some kind of stressed metal in the shower and above the kitchen sink. Nice floor. Comfy bed. HVAC and plumbing worked well. Well lit and lots of electrical outlets including near the bed so that I had no trouble hooking up my CPAP. One minor problem: I tried to watch a football game but couldn't figure out the TV remotes. I would recommend initially arriving by daylight as it is in a remote area at the end of a gravel road. My car's navigation picked up the road and the owner's instructions were clear. Easy drive to the Gorge.

Motorcycle Weekend

It was amazing! The owners were so accommodating. Worked with us to give us trailer parking, told us about the best restaurants, and we’re just awesome down to earth people. I will say, when they tell you the driveway is steep…they mean it!! Amazing property for front porch Sittin and just relaxing.

Great Stay

A wonderful stay we explored the area. Loved the campfire at night and warm sunshine on the patio in the mornings. Everything we needed inside and out! One tip-the directions are perfect but a good idea to arrive before dark on the first day because of the driveway. The rest of the week it’s easy.

Would Stay Here Again

We had the absolute best time!! The place was clean and had all sorts of information about what to do in the area. There were beautiful views and we loved how cute the place was. It had such a cozy feel. We all agreed that if we ever come back, we want to stay at this exact place. We loved it!!

Spartan race retreat

My Spartan race team stayed here during our West Virginia Beast rave (13 miles). It was so nice to come back to this haven after the grueling race. We loved the remote location. The house was super clean. We could definitely hear the upstairs noise, just like the ad and other reviews said. We were so tired, it didn't matter.

Beautiful

This is a beautiful property. Extremely clean and just perfect for a weekend away. The outside sitting area is just as nice and cute as the inside and super relaxing. Owners were very responsive and wonderful to communicate with. We made a mistake on our arrival date and they took care of it immediately without any issue. I would definitely choose this place for my next stay in West Virginia!

Beautiful views and relaxation at its finest!

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and had such an amazing time! We were in town to visit New River ATV for a tour and were surprised how close it was. This was such a beautiful property nestled back from the road making it feel very serene. The condo was newly renovated and was very clean and nicely decorated. Loved the attention to detail! We would love to stay here again!

Quiet retreat at New River Gorge

Awesome stay to explore NRGNP!

Perfect location, close to the park. The downstairs is all one level which is nice for loading in/out. We enjoyed morning coffee with peaceful view on the porch. The property is quite large and we played disc golf with the 3 baskets. The beds were super comfortable and it was very quiet, which is why we missed the beaitufil sunrises! We loved all the unique touches with LED lighting, and beautiful decor. We highly recommend staying here!

Great house, location and view!

We loved this house so much. The view of mountains is cool. The trails like kaymoor and New R. NP is really close. Property was super clean and instructions were accurate. Finding this property at night for 1st time could be little challenging due to steep narrow gravel approach. I wish, the host provided few basic things like laundry pods, dish scrubber. Overall great, I highly recommend.

Perfect Place!

This little apartment is perfect. Clean, updated, decorated perfectly, and with the added bonuses of nice washer/dryer and great fire pit area! Four of us stayed here (myself, husband, and two teens). Highly recommend this rental; would absolutely stay here again (and I am picky, esp about cleanliness).

Arden visit

Rented upper level 2 bedroom apt, clean and comfortable in secluded quiet neighborhood tucked away amongst the NC woods. Convenient to airport and south Asheville amenities including Biltmore Village and Estate. Would be happy to rent this location again.

My husband Jeff and I were born and raised in West Virginia. We have lived in the New River Gorge area over 40 years. We are outdoor enthusiast and love everything the New River Gorge National Park has to offer. We are so excited to be able to share our vacation home with others visiting the Park.

This property was our first home. We built it together in 2001 shortly after being married. In 2003 we experienced a fire and as a result we lost our home and our beloved black lab Ziek. When we rebuilt this property as a vacation rental, we named the property Ziek's Place in his honor; he saved our lives in the fire and we wanted to ensure his name and memory was carried on for years to come. We are so excited to share our vacation home and Ziek's story with you. We love the Gorge and know that you will love it here too!!

Our property is located in a tranquil country neighborhood. We love the stunning views of the sunrise and mountains from the patio. Our property allows you to be at the trailhead of several local trails and the town of Fayetteville in 5-15 minutes. We built this place ourselves and incorporated many unique features into the build and decor that we hope you will love as much as we do!!!
