Dieser herrliche Rückzugsort in den Bergen, der sich auf einem 1,6 Hektar großen Gelände in den Leatherwood Mountains befindet (eine mit einem Gatter versehene Postleitzahl für die Entwicklung von Pferden ist Ferguson, aber tatsächlich etwa 16 km entfernt), ist der perfekte Ort für einen romantischen Kurzurlaub oder ein besonderes Familientreffen. Unser Haus ist sehr geräumig und wunderschön dekoriert mit Möbeln von Bob Timberlake und Charleston Forge, gemischt mit Antiquitäten und orientalischen Teppichen. Jedes Zimmer bietet einen Blick auf den Grandfather Mountain und einen 180-minütigen Blick auf die Blue Ridge Mountains.

Jedes der drei Schlafzimmer hat ein eigenes Bad (zwei der Bäder haben Whirlpools - das Hauptbad hat auch eine separate Dusche). Zwei der Schlafzimmer (einschließlich der King Master Suite und eines Queen-Size-Schlafzimmers) und das Loft mit einem Queen-Size-Schlafsofa befinden sich im zweiten Stock. Die Master Suite hat sogar einen Gaskamin. Im ersten Stock befindet sich ein drittes Schlafzimmer mit einem Queensize-Bett.

Das Great Zimmer verfügt über einen 3 m langen Kamin aus Tennessee Field Stone sowie 3 Fenster und Türen, durch die Sie die Aussicht genießen können. Der Speisesaal bietet Platz für 8 Personen und eine Bar mit Platz für 4 Personen. Die Küche mit schönen Granit-Arbeitsplatten ist für den Gourmet-Koch mit Doppelöfen, einem Gaskochfeld, einem nebeneinander angeordneten Kühlschrank mit Eis- und Wasserspender, Küchenhelfer-Standmixer, Kaffeemühle und vielen anderen Annehmlichkeiten ausgestattet, die zu zahlreich sind, um sie zu erwähnen. Draußen gibt es eine abgeschirmte Veranda mit einer Schaukel auf dem Land und einen Esstisch mit Platz für vier Personen und ein 12x48-Deck mit einem 20x20-Step-Down-Deck mit einem Whirlpool für sechs Personen mit Blick auf die Berge.

Perfect in every way

If you're looking for a spot that provides a get away for Rest & Relaxation, this house will check all the boxes. Very clean, well appointed kitchen, fireplace with firewood, comfy beds, beautiful views and a wonderful hot tub -- this is it! Meda has a fabulous home and we are thankful she's willing to share -- we will be returning!

Lovely Mountain Home

We rented this home for a post-Christmas family getaway and it was the perfect place to relax after the holidays! The location is secluded and peaceful, but being in Leatherwood and near Boone makes it easy to get go grab food or find a fun activity. The house itself is lovely and well cared for by the owners. The kitchen is well-stocked and all of the furniture is clean and comfortable. Of course, the views were spectacular and since we were there near Christmas, we go to see the spectacular Christmas tree the owners had put up. Last, but not least, the owners a friendly, professional, and easy to communicate with.In short, this is a great vacation rental for a secluded mountain getaway. We highly recommend it and plan on returning in the futures

Beautiful Getaway in the Mountains

Fantastic house with stellar views in a great neighborhood

Our group highly recommends this lovely home! It was spotless and well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Beds were extremely comfortable. The furnishings were of high quality, and the decor created a warm and inviting atmosphere. Every room had its own unique charm. Mountain Retreat

Lovely private home! Great views of surrounding mountains from the back deck and hot tub. We specifically looked for a dog friendly home for our family getaway and this was perfect. The back deck is enclosed so our pups could have space to run. Great communication with the owners for any questions. This property is well maintained with many extras not often found in a rental.

Getaway Turned Engagement Weekend

Exceptional in Every Way

This property is exceptional inside and out. We loved being in the gated community. It was so secure. We were there for a week and only saw another car twice. The properties are expansive so it was nice and secluded which is what we look for. The long distance views are among the best we’ve had at a rental in this area. This property had everything inside a guest could ask for. We cooked all but two of our meals in and the kitchen is wonderfully stocked. The openness of the cabin assures that while I was cooking I could also be a part of what my family was doing in the living space. Lastly, Meda is exceptional to work with. She was easy to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed before our arrival. We are looking forward to staying here again and again!

Wonderful!

Other reviews are correct in stating that entering this rental is like entering a home.....and in some cases even more so. From the small appliances to even the ceiling fans everything is top notch. Dishes and silverware beyond the number that a renter would need. It is obvious that this is not meant to be "just" a rental. I am sure that the owner has, and does, enjoyed many a family event at this wonderful house (I just cannot call it "a cabin"). Interactions with the owner are quick and like talking to a friend. It is my hope to return again and again! Thanks Meda!!!!!!

This home really does have everything. Meda clearly loves this home and takes excellent care of it. It is the most well-stocked home we have ever stayed in, and our family has a long history of renting vacation homes. If you need it, chances are it will be there. Spectacular views from the back porch, the screened porch, the HOT TUB! As others have indicated, I cannot stress enough, that this home is out there. Wonderful!

This home is lovely. Walking in the door it felt like coming home. Every time I felt like I needed something, it was there. We enjoyed the fireplace, the tree, the deck, the view, the trails....well just everything. You could easily host a houseful here as the kitchen was so well stocked with dishes, glasses, serving pieces and really nice cook ware. We re only three and a grand puppy. But we were oh so comfortable. It did not feel like we were in a rental. It felt like we were in home that someone loved. We truly enjoyed our pre Christmas visit.

Perfect Christmas Cabin

My husband & our dog LOVED our stay at this charming cabin! The views were incredible and the decor was perfect. The wood-burning fireplace and the Christmas tree made for a perfect getaway during the holiday season. The kitchen had every gadget you need so we were able to make Christmas cookies while enjoying the peace and quiet of the mountains. The host was super communicative and helpful. Favorite Cabin!

My family tries to go somewhere different in the mountains of NC and Tennessee every fall. We all agree this is by far our favorite cabin. You could not ask for a nicer or well organized host. We had no issues but I have no doubts if we would have had any she would have fixed it asap. The cabin is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need for your stay. The little framed notes (how to work different things around the house) are just reminders of the extra steps the host takes to make your stay easy and relaxing. And the view from the porch is just breath taking. It’s feels like a home and not rental. 100% can’t wait to stay again!

Wind down and relax

If you are looking for a vacation home to get away from “it all “then this is the place! although it’s a good hour away from a decent grocery store, it’s all worth it to find this special setting on over 19 acres overlooking the mountains. At first I wondered since the homeless in a gated community that it could be busy, but that was far from the truth. We walked our dogs 50 times and I believe we saw five or six cars!! if it is important to be close to grocery stores and restaurants then this isn’t the place for you. The kitchen was stacked with every amenity that you would need. A gas stove top and electric oven is a cook’s delight. All the bedrooms were nicely appointed and a new hot tub allowed for even more relaxation at sunset. Our host was very responsive to any questions or concerns! Clearly they are home as a special sanctuary for them as well and it was great they could share it with us!! Thank you again!! Bonnie and Mike

Relax and recharge in this amazing mountain home

Taking a yearly trip to NC with the family has become a tradition and we always stay at different places each year. By far this has been the BEST! It’s quiet, relaxing, comfortable, and has the best view! The sunsets were breathtaking! The house has everything you need and the owners are the kindest and easiest to work with. If you’re looking for a place to relax and recharge, this is it! It is a little far away from everything but it’s the perfect place if you just want to get away from it all. Normally when we return home we start looking for a place to stay for our next trip to NC, but we will most definitely be returning here next year!
