I am very dissatisfied with the poor quality of service provided by Andrew, the host. In fact, it felt like there was no service provided. Aside from the curt and short responses I had received from the host during our correspondences, there were a host of issues that took unreasonably long to correct or not attended to at all. Upon our arrival on Oct 20th, the air conditioning was not working. After a few of the men in our group of friends came to ascertain the problem and attempt to fix it with no avail, I contacted the host to remedy the problem. It took him the following day to respond saying he will send out a maintenance person on the 21st of October. No one came and the AC was only fixed 4 days after our arrival in the 24th of October. Meanwhile we were roasting in unbearable heat. days to respond. your delayed response to our air conditioning concern has been unacceptable. That’s more than half of our stay at this accommodation.
On October 22nd we were faced with another issue, we had no hot water. Again it took the host a full day to respond with an u helpful question whether there was no hot water in the kitchen. I replied there was no hot water in anywhere and the correspondence ended there. He did not inquire nor assist us any further. I decided to reset the electrical panel, which thankfully fixed the problem. Nonetheless, the incompetent and negligent way in which the host dealt with our issues is unacceptable and made for an unpleasant experience. He was crass and short during correspondences, or would ignore our raised concerns for days.
While overall the accommodations were clean, tenge bed sheets, pillow cases and duvets were drenched in body oils that have not been well cleaned. The smell of body odour is quite sickening and offensive to the senses.
I had reached out to the host to express our dissatisfaction with the overall experience, to which once again there was no answer.
