If you are in town for an event at App State Univ or for a mountain retreat, this cabin will fit your needs perfectly! Less than 5 mi from Tweetsie, 8 mi from Blowing Rock, & 5 mi to Boone and ASU. At the end of your day, make sure you save some time to relax on the screened in porch to listen to the sounds of the river. Dog fee $150 for up to 2 dogs max. No cats

Disappointing

We were so unimpressed with this property that we contacted owner and asked if she had an upgrade. When we drove in it was a very rough road with holes and more holes. You have to have an SUV or truck to get in driveway too. Even with an SUV it drug the bottom when we pulled in driveway. It is a steep downhill driveway. We fixed a tomato sandwich and went on back porch to eat it and mosquitoes ate us up. The trash cans on porch were full of stinky trash. Someone did come and pick that up, but we left and stayed at a much better place. I can not recommend this place.

Peaceful Getaway

Perfect place for a few days off the grid. All the comforts of home and close enough to everything you’d need…but with all the comforts of country living. Tough to beat the location…riverside accommodations like this are tough to find.

The property was nice. screened in porch was nice for dogs to run a little. Property is too close to the highway and vrbo should mention this. Otherwise we had a great stay!

Boone trip

This is a great cottage!!! Perfect size for me, my husband and our chiweenie! Had every amenity we could think of and then some. I love that is right on the river and so close to Boone and Blowing Rock. Will definitely rent it again, only caveat to this location is the driveway is difficult to get out of and hard to see cars coming around the curve as you maneuver out of the driveway, otherwise it is perfect!! I highly recommend!!

Relaxation and Location

Nothing better than opening up the windows on the screen porch and relaxing to the sound of a banking brook. And the house was kitted out very well. Only thing I needed from my bag of travel essentials was a pair of kitchen shears. Beds were really comfortable. And you are within 5 min of a grocery store and 29 min from the wonderful restaurants in Boone

Cute place, convenient location

Definitely enjoyed our stay here. Cute place, clean and very conveniently located. Plenty of kitchen implements. I was nervous that it was right next to the road, but the road is very quiet at night, so no issues sleeping at all. Would definitely recommend having a vehicle with 4 wheel drive, though. Driveway is steep gravel.

Perfect Getaway!

My husband and I absolutely loved the cabin! It’s adorable and right on the water. It was so nice to sit on the porch and listen to the water. Communication was great with the owner. Boone is just up the road. We will definitely be staying here again :)

Hike, mountain climb, ski, swim, there is so much to do in this town! Tweetsie is just 5 minutes down the road. Blowing rock is just 10 minutes down the road and you are just 5 minutes from Appalacian State University.
