If you are looking for a one level, luxury lake house in Connestee Falls, Brevard with the best lake views in the area, look no further. Lake Tranquility lives up to its name. A mountain home in the resort community of Connestee Falls on a private 1 acre wooded peninsula with lake views everywhere. One level living with easy access to the dock on the lake behind the property.

There are 3 bedrooms plus a bonus room with one bunkbed that are perfect for the kids or grandkids. There is also a sleeper sofa. The house sleeps 8 in beds (plus the queen size sleeper sofa) with 3 full bathrooms on a lakefront peninsula lot with a park like setting and lake views. This home has a large deck for entertaining. Wake up to lake views in the large king master. 2 guest rooms with 1 queen bed and 1 king bed. The large bonus room has a ping pong table. There is a nice dock with a stand up paddleboard (SUP) and 2 kayaks to relax and enjoy the lake. There is an additional secluded private dock for fishing on the side of the property. This lakefront home will set the mood for relaxing in the mountains.

We are pet friendly. Up to 2 well behaved dogs (no puppies) are permitted with prior approval and $175 pet fee. Sorry, no cats allowed. There is both a regular coffee maker and Keurig. There is a propane gas grill.

The home sits in the gated community of Connestee Falls in Brevard, NC with 24/7 security, championship mountain golf course and clubhouse, large olympic size swimming pool, tennis, pickleball, lake with a beach and non-motorized boat access and hiking trails. The amenities are just a short 10-15 minute drive from the home. Nearby access to magnificent waterfalls in Dupont Forrest and Pisgah Forest. Short drive to Brevard’s shops, restaurants & festivals, 15 minute drive. 45 minute drive from downtown Asheville and the Biltmore Estate.

Connestee Falls is a place of breathtaking beauty featuring signature waterfalls, four mountain lakes, an 18-hole championship golf course, grand clubhouse with dining, 13 miles of private hiking trails, a large heated pool, tennis & pickleball courts, and beautiful mountain views.

The quaint mountain town of Brevard is 15 minutes with nice shops and restaurants. Nearby attractions include Dupont State Park, Pisgah National Forest, Blue Ridge Parkway, Sliding Rock and Cradle of Forestry all within 30 minutes. Flatrock Playhouse, Hendersonville and Asheville are within 45 minutes. There are many nearby scenic drives to waterfalls and beautiful mountain views as well as charming mountain towns.

Amazing getaway on a lake

Our group of four adults and two kids had an amazing time here. The house was clean and spacious. The property is on a small lake which was perfect for swimming and kayaking. Communication with the owner was excellent. We hope to return next summer!

Just what my family needed.

My family enjoyed relaxing in this very comfortable home on the lake. The owners provided everything we could possibility need during our stay. Our teens loved the playroom and all the games available. My husband loved fishing of the muliple docks and I enjoyed the serene views while reading. This properly is surrounded by nature at its finest and lots of activities available. Just a short trip to town for some local treats and small town shopping. I highly reccomend!

This place is everything it appears to be. It is beautiful, relaxing, and full of things to do. The hiking is amazing, kayaking on the lake is a treat, and if you are a cyclist, you will not be disappointed. We loved our stay and we will be back.

Gem on the Lake

Beautiful, updated, spacious home at an ideal spot on the lake. Incredible views from every vantage point, and fun around every corner. Perfect home for kayaking and stargazing from the backyard dock, and indoor pingpong on a rainy afternoon.

Paradise in the mountains

Home beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Stocked with everything you would want in a home. Enjoyed fishing (caught 108 bass and 5 catfish in the 6 weeks we were there). Everyone enjoyed kayaking and paddleboarding in the lake. Restaurants were good and found a great pottery shop on the way into town! The owners, Margaret and Rick, could not have been any nicer and very accommodating to all our questions. This was one of the best rentals we have had!!

Wonderful vacation home

We were so happy with this property. It was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of room for our family of 5 adults. The views were amazing. Having access to the lake with kayaks and a paddle board was a fun bonus. The property manager was very responsive to any questions. Connestee Falls is a wonderful community, and the surrounding area has many beautiful hikes. If we return to this area, we would love to stay here again

Beautiful and peaceful setting

The house was in a perfect setting, with stunning lake views and fresh mountain air. We loved getting on the lake with the kayaks and paddle board. The house itself was meticulously maintained and the owner thought of every detail in designing and furnishing the place. Would definitely stay there again when we return.

Fantastic lake home!

Overall outstanding with excellent communication with owner. The house had everything we needed for a very enjoyable week stay The lake location was perfect and we really enjoyed the kayaks and paddle board (at least after a few trips into the lake while getting the hang of it). Even with an 11 year old, the TV was seldom on as the evenings were spent playing ping pong and board games. The convenience to Brevard, Pisgah Forest and DuPont made trips to O P Taylor’s, Rocky’s, Sliding Rock, Looking Glass, hiking and a kayak trip down the French Broad, etc. easy to reach. Looking forward to our next stay.

What A View

Beautiful, well-maintained home which we thoroughly enjoyed. Comfortable bedding and furniture, nice linens, and nicely equipped kitchen. Great spots, inside and out to enjoy the lake and mountain views. The drive from the front gate is long and curvy, but the back gate is much closer to the house, so we used it during our stay. A lot of great restaurants and breweries close by, and downtown Brevard is wonderful! Hosts were quick to reply to questions, and very accommodating. We enjoyed the wine they left the very first night. Thanks! We would book the home again.

LOVE this home!

This home/setting is so beautiful and the area is gorgeous. Everything I stated in my April 2022 review still applies! The best commentary I can give though is that we wanted to return. Beautiful, tranquil and simply amazing

This cabin is even more picturesque then what is shown in the photos. Communicating with the host was easy and he always was quick to reply. First let me start by saying that this cabin has the best location on the lake with long range views. The cabin itself is laid out perfectly for large families. The space was more than ample for the five us. The community is also very nice. We took long walks, the boys kayaked and paddle boarded on the lake. This cabin is very clean and is very well stocked. We visit western NC at least once a year and this was by far our favorite cabin and location. It's the best of both worlds you are far enough away from civilization to relax but only 8 miles away from downtown Brevard. The downtown was super cute with many good places to eat. Our favorite restaurant was The Square Root from a food and service perspective. We are already looking to plan on our text stay!

It doesn’t get better than this!

We spent our Thanksgiving holiday in this beautiful lake home and it could not have been more perfect! First of all there are views from the lake from every room in the house! The walk to the large dock is easy and just a few steps. We loved fishing off the dock and caught many fish! The kayaks are a plus and we enjoyed using them every day. There is an easy and very scenic walk all the way around the lake and we loved doing that each morning of our stay. The home is very spacious and had everything you need. We highly recommend this home and plan to book our next visit soon!

Beautiful scenery

Wonderful vacation with family, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful lake house. Walking through the front door and seeing the lake was just picture perfect! Connestee falls had so many amenities to offer for the entire family. The kayaks at the house were definitely a bonus to get out on the lake. Would highly recommend this house and the owners responded quickly to any questions we might have had! Thanks for allowing us to enjoy Tranquility on the Lake!
