"Heels in the Sand" - Oceanfront 4 Bed/2.5 Bath Home

Enjoy a relaxing vacation on the beach at “Heels in the Sand”! Located in Surf City, NC, this home comes features lots of living space (indoors and outdoors) including a screened in oceanfront porch and a trellis patio in the front, perfect for family gatherings.

On the ground floor, you will find a garage setup for entertainment with a television, ping pong table, and darts. You will also find a living room, bedroom with a queen bed, half bathroom, and a sitting room. The stairs in the sitting area lead up to the laundry room located behind the kitchen.

Entering through the front door you’ll find the dining area including a gorgeous farmhouse style table to your right. To the left you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen with bar seating and a desk. The room is a large open concept living space with a coastal themed living room with plenty of seating, built-in shelves, fireplace, and breathtaking ocean views.

On the first floor you’ll find three bedrooms: an oceanside king en suite bedroom with a television, an oceanside queen bedroom with a television and a two-twin bedroom with a shared hallway bathroom.

Enjoy your morning coffee on the screened in porch while listening to the waves crash on the shore. Then spend your days in the sand having fun, wash off in the outdoor shower, and wind down in the cozy living room. You’ll make memories that last a lifetime and keep coming back to “Heels in the Sand”!

Age Requirements: You must be 25 years or older to rent this property. ID verification required prior to check in. House parties will be evicted immediately. Any group renting this property under false pretenses shall be immediately evicted with no refund.

TV Disclosure: Smart TVs require guests to log in with their own accounts to access subscription apps. Access credentials are not provided.

CANCELLATIONS -
Any cancellation of a confirmed reservation must be made in writing by Guest. Reservation payments are not reimbursable unless the property can be re-rented for the same rate and time period less non refundable reservation fee, cancellation fee, and third-party fees. Please review our Rental Policies and Cancellation Policy.

CHECK IN DAY DETAILS -
Your rental home allows you to check-in directly at the property. Check-in typically becomes available BETWEEN 4:00 - 6:00 PM on the day of your scheduled arrival. As soon as your rental is ready for check in, we will send you a text message with all of your check-in instructions. Please understand that all homes must be cleaned and inspected before we are allowed to issue access details and you are not allowed to be at the property until you have received that text message.

PREPARING FOR YOUR VACATION -
All our vacation rentals include fully equipped kitchens, basic small appliances (microwaves, coffee makers, toasters), pillows, comforters/bedspreads, television(s) and more! Our vacation homes do not supply consumable items for guest use (i.e. toilet paper, paper towels, soap, spices, cleaning products, etc.). Please plan accordingly for any items you may need during your stay.

You are welcome to bring your own linens, or we provide a linens rental service for your convenience. Some homes provide complimentary linens for select dates and this detailed information can be found in the description. Linen package options include BRONZE (bed sheets only per bed listed), SILVER (bed sheets per bed listed, a bath towel set per occupancy, dish towel, and a bath mat per shower/tub), and GOLD (all items from the SILVER package plus one extra bath towel per occupancy).

TOPSAIL ISLAND GENERAL INFO-
WiFi: WiFi signal strength is NOT guaranteed at your rental for remote work or remote learning. We are located on a barrier island and do not have cellular towers on the island. This, coupled with the increase of guests in our area, creates an inconsistent cellular signal that is outside of our control and therefore, compensation is NOT given.

Beach Nourishment: Beach nourishment projects help preserve and protect Topsail Island’s shoreline. Most projects are scheduled annually between November and April and may involve large pipes on the beach, trucks moving sand, and other equipment to rebuild and maintain our dunes. Timelines and locations can shift without notice, and we are not always informed in advance. While we understand this may impact your beach experience, refunds or compensation will not be provided for disruptions related to beach nourishment. For the latest updates, we recommend checking the town websites for Topsail Beach, Surf City, or North Topsail Beach. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions about potential beach impacts during your stay.

Water Pressure Notice: Please be aware that during popular rental dates, especially in the mornings and evenings, there may be temporary reductions in water pressure. This is a common occurrence across the island as many visitors are getting ready for the day or returning from the beach. We recommend planning showers and other water-related activities accordingly to avoid inconvenience.

Public Parking: The Town of Surf City enforces “Pay to Park” from March 1-Oct 31 from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm in the Surf City Public Beach Access Parking Lots and other marked Public Parking Lots. The Town of North Topsail Beach will enforce “Pay to Park” from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM year-round. Onslow County operates three public parking areas/beach accesses within the Town of North Topsail Beach. To the best of our knowledge the county intends to continue operating these lots free of charge.

Leave No Trace: Topsail Island enforces a "Leave No Trace" policy in order to protect our shoreline, meaning you must remove all items, including tents and chairs, from the beach each day. Any items left behind are subject to theft, removal by the town, or possibility of being washed away by the ocean.

Turtle Nesting Season: From May to October, Topsail Island is a nesting ground for sea turtles. Be mindful of marked nests, limit oceanside deck lights, and follow local guidelines to protect them.

Love the porch!

Our family had a wonderful week in Surf City! Although we may have spent more time with our “feet up” on the porch than with our “heels in the sand” because it was the best spot on the beach! The house has a great location south of town where the beach is a little less busy. Great communication with the property manager and a seamless check-in process. We paid extra for linens and that was well worth it compared to lugging them all to the beach. They were organized specifically for the beds in the house. Once distributed our kids could make their beds easily. The beach decor is lovely and comfortable. The open layout of the house was great for our family of 8 to gather, play games and dine. Ping pong tournaments in the garage were a hit. We cooked at the house all nights but one (we love trivia night at Beach Bums). The charcoal grill is a little old but it worked out fine.

Nice getaway

Amazing!

This house was perfect. I loved the screened on porch looking out over the ocean, and being able to step off our steps and right into the sand. The house was very clean. Plenty of room for everyone.

Its a Vacation, not bring my house with me!

*No chairs outside for beach deck sitting *Almost impossible to access beach with deck/steps covered in sand… *No trash bags, had to run to store upon check in *No Toilet paper provided *Charged for towels and bed sheets *Living Room windows not open due to locks seemed broke or stuck *Over all just not user friendly. *We stay in VRBO’s alot and our son owns many properties inside VRBO *So sad to say we would not stay or recommend this location as a vacation home if you are coming to enjoy the beach. Perfect Beach Trip

This home literally had everything we needed and the screened in porch was such an incredible bonus to cuddle up and enjoy the rain too. Lots of room for all of us on the top level, we used the lower level room and living room as over flow if someone just needed a little peace and quiet from the group. Home fit our multigenerational group from grandparents to kids aged 2-10 - all had an incredible stay. We’ve stayed in many vacation rentals in surf city and topsail and this was definitely our favorite so far. Wish we could have stayed longer; Can’t wait to come back!
