Tolles altmodisches Strandhaus in den wunderschönen Kill Devil Hills. Dieses ist nicht Ihr typisches Strandkastenhaus. Es hat den ganzen Charakter der schönen Häuser, die vor Jahren an den Ufern gebaut wurden. Astige Kiefernwände, -böden und -decken sind absolut atemberaubend. Dieses Haus befindet sich in der Nähe von Milepost 10, der sich fast in der Mitte des Ozeanbereichs am äußeren Ufer befindet. Dieser Bereich kann auch als OBX (Outer Banks) bezeichnet werden. Sie sind nah an alles. 5 Minuten zu Fuß zum Strand (über die Straße). 5 Minuten nach Nags Head, Kitty Hawk, Wright Brothers Memorial. Ein toller Tagesausflug wäre es, den Strand entlangzufahren und das Beste zu sehen, was die äußeren Ufer zu bieten haben. Eine kurze Fahrt durch die Gebiete Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo und Hatteras bringt Sie zur Fähre und eine 30-minütige Fahrt nach Ocracoke. Dies wäre wirklich ein unglaubliches Tagesausflugabenteuer.

Das Haus verfügt über 3 volle Schlafzimmer (2 sind extrem überdimensioniert), 1 Kingsize-Bett, 2 Queensize-Betten, 1 Etagenbett für 3 Personen und eine Ausziehcouch. 2 Vollbäder und eine übergroße Außendusche. Neue Betten im Jahr 2009. Haustierfreundlich. Nichtraucher.

Bday Weekend Retreat

My wife and I along with some friends loved this home for our weekend trip. The house is in a perfect location being a short walk from multiple restaurants and the beach. This is a place we would easily stay at again. Hal the host was quick and responsive with his communication.

Amazing location

Our group of 5 adults had the best time at this beach house. The house itself is fun and vintage. The location is the best close to the beach, restaurants, breweries and just about anything you could want.

Cozy beach cottage in a GREAT location!!

Our family enjoyed staying in this beach cottage for our first OBX vacation. This house had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. Hal, the owner was quick to respond to the few inquiries that we had. As advertised, the location of this house is excellent! Short walk to the beach, surf shops and restaurants with a great little pizza shop right at the end of the block. Our boys especially enjoyed the giant candy store within view of either of the balconies.

Ship Shape Property and Great Management Communications

I've been visiting OBX for going on 40 years and have rented a variety of properties. 204 Neptune is a great property and met our needs perfectly. First, there is walkable beach access within 2 blocks. Second, if you need to haul gear to the beach, there are plenty of free parking areas for beach access points up and down VDT road, literally dozens of options to get your gear and family to the beach. Third, multiple dining options within walking distance! This property is well stocked, it has everything you need for a great stay. The porch swing on the front deck became a favorite reading spot each evening after our time at the beach. The property is clean and FUN! Try it out, you'll want to come back next time around.

Brilliant location

This spot is a stone's throw from public beach access and has a great little ice cream and pizza shop on the block. We enjoyed our stay thanks to the location. This property doesn't have bells and whistles and has an old school beach vibe to it. The cleanliness of the property and condition of the furniture left some things to be desired. All in all, an adequate vacation spot but perhaps not one we'd return to.

We wanted a quiet place to stay, but within short distance of all the excitement and experiences of the Outer Banks. The property is located in a family and pet friendly neighborhood one block from the beach, and small quiet restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

Always an amazing stay!

We visit the beach house every year and we absolutely love it! We will never stay anywhere else! It’s super close to amazing restaurants and of course the beach! Our kids love the bunk beds and we love the swing on the porch! We will see you again next year!

Charming Cottage

We took a last minute family trip with our two dogs and this cottage was in a great location. Short walk to the beach, stores and restaurants. The house feels like an old fashioned New England cottage and is quite charming. The host was quick to respond.

Lovely stay in KDH ocean cabin

My two little dogs and I had a lovely stay at Hal's place within walking distance of the beach at Kill Devil Hills. I like to call it a cabin because of the knotty pine paneling and cozy decor. The house is on stilts so stairs required to get to the main floor - either to front or to the back door. Main floor had one bedroom and bath with living and kitchen open plan area. The place DOES have WiFi - and the code was mailed along with the key and instructions. The location is central to restaurants and activities, as well as to the beach. You can walk about 5-8 minutes and use the pedestrian entrance on the far side of the Ramada hotel. Or, drive a few minutes and park at one of the small beach parking lots nearby. We went in mid September and usually found a place to park, either in am or pm, even on the weekends. The appliances were newer and clean, satellite TV in living room and upstairs king bed room. Wonderful two person swing on the front deck. Quiet neighborhood and the dogs and I enjoyed our walks. Other family members were supposed to join but unable to. 3 nice size bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms make the place a nice location for families. Hope to return next year!

Everything about this property is great. Wonderful location, classic OBX beach cottage, all at a very affordable price. Very short distance to the beach. Also lots of businesses within walking distance,perfect for dinner or getting a drink! Totally would recommend it, and we plan yo book again! Hal is also very responsive to messages as well.

Perfect family getaway

This was perfect for our family. So close to the beach you can almost taste the salt. Myself, husband and two advanced teens took the upstairs rooms and my in-laws stayed in the room on the main level. The outdoor shower is priceless all on its own so we were able to rinse off and not track sand throughout the house. The kitchen really does have enough cook-wear to cook every night if desired but if you prefer going out the central location is ideal. Sitting in the sea breeze on the deck was absolutely lovely. The neighborhood was quiet and it was very nice to walk the dogs on the streets and especially to take them for long walks on the beach. I can’t express what a wonderful time we had and most of it is because we had such a great place to stay!

Excellent communication!

This property does not have a lot of bells and whistles like the company owned properties in the area, but it does have a very dedicated owner who has excellent communication you won’t get through those companies! We just wanted a place to stay that was close to all the fun things and the beach and that is exactly what we got. The house is a bit aged, but that did not bother us at all. At one point, I had to contact the owner about the TV not working and he replied back to me in minutes! He spent a chunk of time working on the issue to make sure we had what we needed and that was amazing. The house is comfortable and welcoming. My kids really enjoyed the visit and want to go back to the same house next time we vacation in OBX. I will say, the walk to the beach was easily 10+ mins so if you are carrying a bunch of stuff back and forth to the beach with kids in tow, keep that in mind. My kids handled it well and it wasn’t too bad at all. I highly recommend!

My name is Hal Pruitt and my wife Kim and I are the proud owners of this home. For years we visited the outer banks and dreamed while flipping thru all of the real estate magazines. The day we closed on this property didnt seem real to either one of us. Now our kids Seth and Monica love it as much as we do. We usually try to get one week per year here as a family but enjoy sharing it with others thru VRBO!
