Schöne alte Harthölzer umgeben diese Hütte. Im Winter blicken Sie auf die Aussicht auf die Wälder, den Teich und den Bach. Kamin trägt zu seiner Gemütlichkeit bei.

Sie werden hier viele Wildtiere sehen ... Bären, Hirsche, Blaureiher, Stockenten und See-Loons, Circadias und Frösche auf den umliegenden 6 Hektar.
Unsere Hütte ist etwa 70 Meter entfernt, aber es gibt einen Stock zwischen uns.

Schlüsselwörter: Diese reizende authentische Blockhausarchitektur, die vom Inhaber selbst gebaut wird, übersieht tiefe Wälder und Teich. Romantische Schaukel auf der Veranda. Gut ausgestattete Küche. 2 malerische State Parks in der Nähe. Carters Lake ist etwa 20 Minuten.
Blue Ridge Dampflokfahrt nur 20 Minuten entfernt. Tubing und Weinprobe in der Nähe .... 5 Minuten. In der Nähe des Aska Adventure-Bereichs finden Sie Tubing, Angeln, Kanufahren und Mountainbiken. Benton McKay Wanderweg in der Nähe. Endstation der Appalachain Trail auf Springer Mountain Gilmer County nur ein paar Meilen entfernt.
Mehrere schöne Weingüter in unmittelbarer Nähe. Meichtry Weinberg, Cartecay Weinberg und der Englehiem Weinberg. Sitzen Sie draußen in diesen Weingütern und hören Sie am Wochenende Live-Musik. In kühleren Monaten können Sie die Outdoor-Plätze genießen. Weinprobe bei jedem angeboten. Achten Sie darauf, den Hofladen nur ungefähr 3 Meilen von der Kabine zu besuchen. Es hat hausgemachtes Ziegenmilch-Eis und ungewöhnliches Bio-Fleisch. Der Hofladen ist von Hektar Milchkühen, Ziegen und anderen Nutztieren umgeben.

Jim baute diese Kabine und eine weitere kleine Hütte auf unserem Grundstück im Jahr 1995 für unser Ruhestandseinkommen. Er hat die ganze Arbeit selbst gemacht.

Absolutely delightful

Wow, what an amazing stay! My husband and I had such a wonderful time. The tiny house (actually it's really not that tiny) was so charming and perfect for a mountain trip. Jim and Sally were so welcoming and made check-in and check-out effortless. We also had an opportunity to chat with them one evening by the campfire. So lovely! We enjoyed the nearby hiking trail, apple picking, and downtown Ellijay (10 minutes away). Overall a perfect trip!

Very nice and pet friendly!

No cell phone service or wifi, but that’s a good thing if you’re trying to “get away” from it all! My wife and I love renting tiny homes. Fair warning, tiny water heater and water smells of sulfur, not a deal breaker, though! Creek in the backyard and SUPER polite owners next door. They had a sign for us hung upon arrival that read “Happy Anniversary Morris”, loved on our chiweenie, and they tried their best to help us out with the internet, but it just wouldn’t work! That’s okay, we spent the day away anyway! Would recommend

Retreat from a Dream

I have always dreamed of living in a log cabin. For 11 days, I was able to, in this ethereal setting in the woods. The back deck of "Pondside" greets you each morning with a view from the cover of Taylor Swift's "Folklore." The couch and bed were extremely comfortable, and I occupied my time reading and writing, as the birds, bees, and creek made music all around me. The hiking trail on Blackberry Hill, just a three minute drive from the cabin, captured my soul - with a roaring river and moss-covered boulders upon which I sat, contemplating how such beauty has come to be in this world. But more than the cabin, the hosts captured my heart - Sally and Jim are special people, and the time with them was pure magic. Highest recommendation!

Quiet forest setting

Peaceful & Serene

We absolutely loved staying at the cabin, it was the cutest little tiny living space that was completely functional for us 3 adults. The view is beautiful, and the property managers were so very sweet. Miss Sally was super understanding when I talked to her on the phone about our trip being delayed and we would be getting in late, and the self check in was prefect for just that! 10/10 recommend this sweet little cabin for any get away to the mountains!

The Cozy Little Cabin

It was a cozy little cabin, perfect for my husband and me to celebrate our first blind date of 26 years ago. We especially liked the swing on the back porch overlooking the pond. Someone local told us about the hiking place across the RR track from the apple orchards. We loved it!

Didn't get to stay.

We received word of my wife having to undergo chemotherapy treatments which was very unexpected, actually a gut punch! My wife said she wanted to get away for a few days so we rented this cabin at approximately 8:00 - 8:30 on Monday night. We received a call from the Dr. the next morning (Tue) around 8:00 and informed us of testing that had to be done on Thursday which was in the middle of our stay. My wife called and explained the situation and asked if our deposit could be refunded. The owner advised they were sorry but would only return half of our deposit, which to date has not been returned. I understand business but just be aware if an unexpected problem arises what you are dealing with. The only reason I rated it was it was required.

Beautiful

This cabin is exactly what the Dr orders when they say rest and relaxation, the views of nature in itself is amazing, the sounds of the water flowing from the creek, to the chirps of the birds signing in the trees. Absolutely amazing!! Highly recommend for anyone needing a getaway even for one day!!

It was the perfect quiet getaways for my husband and me! Cute and cozy!

It was super easy check in, and we were even greeted by the hosts once we arrived! It was so comfortable and cozy! We would’ve liked for it to have been a little more secluded, but that didn’t interfere with our trip. We didn’t see or hear any of our neighbors. We’re musicians so we were more worried about bothering our neighbors. It was a perfect trip!

Floridians mountain getaway

Great little cabin in the woods! Sally and Jim were great hosts. This was my first vacation with my boyfriend and our shepherd Gemma. It was a great adventure for us and we enjoyed our time out of Florida. The swing was my spot with my morning coffee! Definitely would stay here again!! Thank you Sally and Jim for everything!!

We are a retired couple enjoying living on the 6 acres with the cabins. Our granddaughter , Shayla, lives with us. I am a retired school teacher and Jim owned a cabinet company and a glass company. Jim built all the cabins on the property and we keep them in good condition and very clean. Ellijay is surrounded by mountains and hiking and tubing and all the outdoor activities of a small mountain and river town.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

We are Georgia natives who grew up in Smyrna and came with our families when we were children to Ellijay to get apples and view the leaves in the fall. As adults we continued to visit and in 1994 we decided to find our own get away in beautiful Ellijay. Then in 1995 Jim built this Pondside cabin for added income. It was so popular he built the Creekside cabin soon after. We are sure you will enjoy Gilmer county as much as we do. We live on the 6 acres so are available to answer any local questions you may have. We are here in case the gas for the grills give out or any other problem you may have.

Das macht diese Unterkunft einzigartig

We are only a 10 minute drive from Wal Mart and stores surrounding it but still have the seclusion of being on the 6 acres with no other cabins except ours in sight. About 15 miles away is the town of Blue Ridge which has an old locomotive train excursion to another nearby town and back. Ellijay and Blue Ridge are filled with quaint shops and restaurants. You may tube down our creek using our tubes any time. No cost. Be sure to visit Amacalola Falls only 20 minutes away.
