Explore Litchfield County from the comfort of this newly built, comfortable loft apartment located in the hills of Roxbury. This apartment sits above a barn on the second level located on 4 acres along with the main house. The space is very private and quiet and is the perfect place to unwind and relax. Has a private deck that looks over the gardens and orchard.
About 2 miles from the quaint New England town of Roxbury and 8 miles to Washington Depot, 8 miles to New Milford.
A great location for hiking, skiing (downhill and cross country), visiting farms, antiquing, museums and great restaurants. It's the perfect getaway!

Please note that the Loft is on the second floor. There are two sets of stairs outside you must go up to reach the Loft.

Also, we have three friendly dogs on the property who love visitors and will ask for your attention!

Great Long Stay

We stayed at Lisa’s place for three weeks. Worked out well for us. The loft was great for a family of three with a two year old. The dogs on the property were so kind that we are considering getting one ourselves. Highly recommend staying here.

Perfect spot.

Clean, convenient, comfortable. Travelled daily to Bridgewater and Washington and it was ideal. Radiant heat bathroom floor, a/c, all the comforts of home.

A country oasis

We had a wonderful stay at Rucum Rd! The apartment is beautifully decorated and every detail was provided. We could have easily made meals there with the well equipped kitchen. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful and coffee on our private deck was my favorite morning ritual. We were 16 minutes from New Milford and 17 minutes from my family in Washington. Perfect location to visit family and friends in the area. We will be back when we plan another extended stay in the area. Thank you Lisa and Emily!!

Beautiful area. Apartment very tastefully set up. Owner super nice and accommodating. Great place. For us only problem was steep climb upstairs becausec of my wife’s arthritis. We would return.

A hidden gem

This loft apartment is the perfect place for a couple. We were visiting from NC, and felt at home the minute we arrived. The hosts were phenomenal…. friendly, accommodating, and ready to do whatever was needed to make our stay enjoyable. The apartment was spotless and so tastefully decorated! The surrounding grounds were gorgeous, and the deck was the perfect spot for a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine. So relaxing! We will definitely be returning to this little slice of heaven in Connecticut!!

Wonderful stay at Rucum Hill!

This is a lovely apartment in a great location! Comfortable, clean, spacious and quiet...everything we wanted for the weekend. Lisa is a thoughtful and attentive host and we'd love to stay here again when we are in the area. It was primarily just a sleeping spot for us, but it would be a fabulous home for a couple to get away or a small family to recharge a bit. Two things to note (neither were an issue for us at all) the stone path from the driveway to the apartment may be tough for anyone with mobility issues. Particularly in wet weather where it may be slippery. Also, there are a few super sweet dogs on the property. My boys LOVED getting to meet them and we had zero issues, but think it's worth mentioning.
