Welcome to Howlin' at the Moon, one of Moonrise Vacation Properties' extraordinary cabins nestled in the serene Smoky Mountains. This remarkable log cabin showcases exquisite craftsmanship and rustic charm. Situated on five acres of private land, this tranquil retreat shares its enchanting surroundings with Barkin' at the Moon. Despite its secluded location, Pigeon Forge's Parkway is just a quick five-minute drive away.

Enjoy the breathtaking natural beauty while dining on the porch. Inside, the main floor offers a cozy living room with an electric fireplace and a smart TV. The fully equipped kitchen and dining area create a warm atmosphere. The bedroom features a queen-sized bed and en-suite bathroom with a shower, jetted tub, and double vanity. A washer and dryer are provided for convenience.

Relax on the back porch's double glider and explore the spacious open loft upstairs. The loft includes a smart TV, queen-sized bed, rocker, and shared restroom with an oversized shower. The upstairs bedroom maintains the rustic ambiance of a cabin retreat.

The basement level offers endless entertainment with a sleeper sofa, smart TV, board games, pool table, and arcade unit. The indoor pool and spa provide breathtaking views, while the deck offers rocking chairs to unwind in nature's tranquility.

Howlin' at the Moon welcomes two well-behaved dogs, but unfortunately cannot accommodate cats due to owner allergies. The cabin features two bedrooms, a loft with a sleeper sofa, an indoor pool with a spa, a game room, and covered decks with stunning views. A 4WD vehicle is necessary in winter. Parking is available for two vehicles with additional space at the bottom of the drive.

Excellent

Our stay was short, but it was excellent! The small details such as providing Q tips, make up wipes, and snacks made the cabin feel as if we were at home. My kids loved the pool and hot tub. We also loved the Jenga and Connect 4 games on the lower level. We enjoyed every moment and we will be back. Thank you!

Not our top choice

The owners/hosts are very responsive which is a plus. We originally booked this cabin because we wanted an indoor heated pool so my baby could swim and enjoy the pool with us. The pool was too cold for my son to enjoy which was disappointing since he’s the reason we booked this cabin. The location of the cabin wasn’t bad, but the driveway was the biggest downside for us. The driveway was straight up and had a pretty sharp curve in the middle of it making it difficult to go up/down as it’s also narrow. The parking and turn around area at the top is also very tight. I would also recommend bringing your own high chair if you have a little one as the one provided isn’t the best. It is one you attach to a chair but is difficult to put baby in and out of and doesn’t have a lot of room for chunky thighs. The beds were also not very comfortable for us, but maybe it was just too firm for our liking. The cabin was beautiful but there were too many things we didn’t like for us to choose this cabin again in the future.

First trip to the area

This was our first trip to the area. The cabin was amazing, and nestled into the mountains. So it felt so peaceful and away from everything, but it's only a quick trip into Pigeon Forge and all the entertainment.

Always enjoy staying here.

We've rented Howling At The Moon several times and always enjoy our stay. Cabin is located in a quiet area but still close to everything and has everything you need for great getaway.

Beautiful mountain escape

A beautiful cabin with attention paid to every detail! The owners were available for all of my questions and very helpful throughout the entire trip. I sent pictures to all of my friends and told them they HAVE to stay here!!! The teenage boys enjoyed the pool, hot tub and billiards so much! It was refreshing to see them having so much fun away from video games! Love that the place is dog friendly. There is even a little path up the mountain that we took the dogs to explore. Overall, this was the perfect place for a family with dogs. 10/10 recommend!

Great cabin for family and kids!

We chose this cabin specifically for the indoor pool for our 2 boys. They had an absolute blast getting to swim even when it was cold outside! The house was so clean. Everything was neat and orderly. There were so many small touches that showed the property managers/owners really cared about us having a good experience. We had a question about the pool, so I sent an email, and I had a reply and a phone call within minutes. I really appreciated that!! The only thing that was different than how the listing presented it was the sleeping arrangement. In the basement there is a sleeper sofa and half bath. On the main level there is a sleeper sofa in the living area and a primary suite with queen bed, shower, and large bathtub. On the second floor there is a loft/open area with a queen bed, a bedroom with a queen bed and a second full bathroom accessible from the loft. This may be important info to know if you are traveling with multiple people. It was easily accessible to the Parkway and all the shops/restaurants of Pigeon Forge, about a 9 minute drive. But it was far out enough that it truly felt like a mountain escape! We would definitely return. Overall, this cabin was 10/10.

Beautiful cabin!

I rented this cabin for my in-laws to vacation with us while having their own space. They loved everything about this cabin! The views were great. The cabin was super cozy. There were little snacks and a note left out on arrival that was very thoughtful. The cabins are very private even with another cabin so close by. The pool and hot tub were such neat little features. Since they were inside, it was pretty easy to use them even though it was freezing out! There were so many little details that we appreciated during our stay- the snack box, k-cups for the coffee pot, cozy blankets. There were even dogs bowls and a crate at the cabin that we could use for the dogs. I did need to contact the owner about a small issue with the security system beeping, and they got back to me within a few minutes and were able to fix the issue on their end. Cannot state how much I appreciate their quick response. The cabin was absolutely wonderful to stay in, and the little details really helped elevate the experience and make us want to come back!

Come to enjoy local attractions and the fall weather. Cabin was quaint, very nice had everything needed to enjoy your stay. Plenty of games, Indoor Pool, Hot Tub in Pool area. Decks were nice with a good view as very clean and comfortable. Area was quiet and peaceful with zero noise.

Peaceful Retreat

The cabin was meticulous! The extra little amenities were like being in a five star hotel. Plush towels, hair products in the showers, snacks and coffee. There was even dog shampoo which we unfortunately had to use after our day at the river.☺☺ The owners went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Even though their was a neighbor next door it was so peaceful. We spent the majority of our time on the decks. We did bring our own bag chairs which ended up being a good idea since there is very little seating on the decks. The pool and the hot tub was just perfect for the little ones. We only went into town just once during our 4 night stay but the cabin was pretty close to all the fun in pigeon forge. I don't think you would be sorry renting any one of their properties. Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

It was love at first sight with these cabins! Traveling with a multi-generational crew the layout of these cabins allows for us to travel together and have space privacy for each family. We love the fact that these cabins are on nearly 5 acres, with plenty to explore, and can be rented together or separately.
These cabins hold a sentimental value in that the logs that are in this cabin came from the sawmill that my grandfather and uncle ran when Jaime was a child. Once we learned this fact, we knew it was meant to be!
