Welcome to Fox Lake! Relax with the whole family at this stunning cabin nestled inside a gated community, surrounded by trees with a lake view. The home offers sleeping for 12 with large entertaining spaces. Enjoy the wrap around porch, hot tub, and fire pit. Within the community, enjoy the lake, swimming pool, walking trails, picnic and playground area.

Located in Nebo, nearby activities to Fox Lake include five wineries within a 20 mile radius. At nearby South Creek Winery you can enjoy panoramic views alongside their award-winning Bordeaux Style Wines, scenic vineyards and century-plus aged Italian Renaissance Farmhouse.

There are things to do in almost every direction! Catawba Meadows Park is just 17 miles away in Morganton, offering a 2.5 mile greenway along the Catawba River, zip lining, an 18-hole disc golf course, and a massive playground for the littles. Morganton also offers many shopping and eating options in the historic downtown area, and free outdoor concerts in season. Quaint small town Marion is 16 miles, offering more shopping and eating options. Love to hike and be outdoors? Lake James is 17 miles away, and South Mountains State Park Clear Creek Access is just 13 miles away. Boat rentals, fishing, biking, and swimming are available at Lake James. There are numerous waterfall hikes within easy reach, including Linville Falls, as well as horseback riding and "real" gem mining. The kayaks are not available for guest use.

Interior Features Include: Rustic, log cabin with lake views. Beautifully stained wood table seats 6 - 7 guests. Additional seating can be found in the living room, game room, and on the wrap-around covered deck. Full kitchen equipped with all essentials, stainless appliances and drip coffee maker. 3 TV’s in the home. Towels, Linens, and Starter Package of soap etc. are included.
This home is pet-friendly with an additional fee. Guests at this home have access to all Hidden Lake amenities, including the community pool and hot tub which is open Memorial Day to Labor Day. Fishing in the lake is catch and release only and you must bring your own fishing gear. Dish TV is provided for movies/tv, but wireless internet is limited. It is available for checking emails and surfing the web. We're sorry but you are not able to stream movies or play games through the internet due to the limited connectivity of the provider. Kayaks pictured are for owner use only.

Cabin in the wilderness

The house was very comfortable, had plenty of bed space and kitchen was OK. A bit more time spent cleaning would make a world of difference to the cabin. We found the location too far out “in the country” to our liking.

Great cabin for family

Kids had a great time, mainly upstairs in the bunk loft. We found it more quiet to sleep in the guest room off the kitchen than up in the master by them. Did not spend much time in the basement but it looked like it could be a fun space. Spent our evenings in the hot tub then on the porch after the kids went down. Great porch and seating. Dog had a great time too!

Great location

Beautiful location! House was great too. A couple things I did want to mention, don’t cook bacon the house fire alarms will go off and they are impossible to turn off even though there is no smoke. Bring shampoo there is no shampoo or conditioner in the house. And also another bummer was that our dishwasher wasn’t working so we were forced to clean all dishes by hand.

Just Enough!

Peaceful cabin that hit all my expectations. As clean as a hotel! Cabin has all essential needs for a stay. Just stop at the store and load up for your meals. People are nice in the community as well. Stopped at lake james and was pleasantly surprised at the their offerings.

Well thought out cabin

The cabin in perfect for getting away and peaceful relaxation. It has the cabin feel with modern amenities. It is two bedrooms and a loft area but feels bigger due to the three bathrooms, wrap around porch and basement game room. The cabin is well thought out to provide maximum relaxation with a hot tub, games and ample seating that is well thiught out to create relaxing spaces. Check in and out was a breeze. The community is beautiful and the mountain setting is idyllic. It is a bit remote so going anywhere takes at least e0 minutes but it central to some really beautiful parks, mountains and historic areas. The drive is also incredible views. I am guessing it is spectacular on the fall (we were there in July).

A Wonderful Find!

We can't wait to come back. This was the perfect getaway spot for us. The house is comfortable and cozy. The surroundings are relaxing and beautiful. There's wi-fi, games, puzzles, kayaks, canoes, a lake, walking trails, and we were close to so many great natural attractions. The 11 and 12 year olds said 12 out of 5 stars.

The cabin was everything we could of hoped for. Only complaint, the gravel lot in wet conditions led to some cars getting stuck. Overall great stay

Nice weekend getaway!

Super cute house in a beautiful log home community. The wrap around porch was incredible, great seating and ambiance with the huge trees and view from the hilltop, lots of privacy and surrounded by nature. There's a pretty hiking trail next to the little lake. The house was well-stocked and the starter kit of supplies provided was more than enough for our weekend stay. Everything was clean and well taken care of, nice furnishings, plenty of towels and bedding - we didn't have to bring anything. Had a great time with the firepit and the hot tub. So much to do in this area - we visited some gorgeous wineries, shopped historic downtowns in Forest City ("Pie Safe" is a must-visit!) and Morganton, and had a lovely horseback trail ride at nearby Cedar Creek stables. Highly recommend "Fox Lake". Would stay again.

Wedding weekend

We were in town for just two shorts days, but wished it was longer. The Cabin at Fox Lake was a beautiful cabin located in the NC mountains. We honestly didn’t have time to do anything in the area. We did enjoy the cabin’s hot tub, games and the fire pit. It was so clean, nicely furnished, well equipped and we loved all the Fox decorations! If we ever get the chance to come to Nebo again for another visit, we would definitely try and stay at this cabin again.

Very peaceful

Great location. Very peaceful. House was clean and well equipped. Bunch of board games, a weird pool table 😂 and foosball table to interact with the family. A fence section for the 4 legged kids in case they are not off leash trained. Fire pit to make s'mores. Overall we had a fantastic time. Note nearest Dunkin and supermarkets are 17 miles away but the drive to it is beautiful so no complaints from us, just letting you know in case you might the driving.

Nice place, very private and quite

Overall good stay however the photos were a little too large to actual, some normal items were in disrepair, example kitchen sink faucet was loose, external ceiling fan did not work as for fan only. Porch step post caps were loose and come off if you grab to exit or enter steps which creates a potential hazard. Good stay, good property, very remote however need some items addressed as for safety and convenience.

Long time coming

Family vacation with plenty for all. Quiet and secluded but many things to do 30-45 minutes away. Something for all ages and my family of 8 loved it so much!

Family reunion

We had a family reunion and used this for people we could not fit in our own house in Nebo. All the 20-something cousins stayed here and had a wonderful time catching up and playing games. Beautiful setting and house was lovely.
