This home is tastefully furnished, with modern touches and comforts. The open-concept layout on the main floor is designed with group gatherings in mind. Unwind by the fireplace or stream your favorite shows and movies on the living room flatscreen TV. The kitchen is well-equipped with all major appliances, cabinets, and counter space for at-home meal prep. Keep the home chef company at the island breakfast bar with seating for six.

Enjoy tranquil forest views on the private patio and soak away the day's adventures in the hot tub.

Year-round recreation abounds within easy reach of the home. From mountain biking, hiking, and off-road/ATV trails in the summer time to snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross-country, and skiing this is the perfect home base with easy access to it all. For shopping and dining enthusiasts Keystone, Dillon and Silverthorne Factory Outlets are nearby. The house is located in a remote area at an elevation of 10,750 feet.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. Successful Ski Trip

Some buddies and I rented this beautiful home out for a couple days to ski at Keystone. The drive to the mountain was roughly 20 mins and a 4x4 is a must. secluded in the woods and very private couldn’t have asked for anything more. The hot tub was pre warmed so there was no waiting for that to get warm. & To top it all off, on the way out we encountered a beautiful fox. Truly an amazing experience and recommend this house to anyone looking for a true ski trip experience.

Great home!

Home is in a quiet, remote setting and a perfect base for visiting the Summit County areas. We had a fox on the back patio, a huge bull moose out front, and two young male moose out back! It's about a 10-15 min from Keystone and has a beautiful view of mountains and trees. The home is well-stocked; we cooked 5 nights and had everything needed. The grill is great too. Hot tub was easy to use and perfect after a long day hiking. Home was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. Beds and couch are comfortable. Host provides the details like toilet paper, travel sized soap, shampoo, etc. The road leading to the cabin is a bit rough so make sure you have an AWD or 4WD even in summer. I had a few questions before our visit and host was quick to respond. We had a great experience staying at this home for a week and recommend it if you are looking to stay in the area.

Summer construction issues

The home was nice; HOWEVER…. Someone is beginning construction on the very wet low lot immediately next door, on the bedrooms and living area side. The workers are running LOUD industrial pumps day and night, including all weekend long. The rental house has no AC, so you can open the bedroom windows for noise and exhaust fumes, or swelter in bed. Vacasa was completely unresponsive when we tried to call them during our stay. We had no way to notify the owners of the construction issues impacting our stay.

Beautiful Mountain Retreat

This was vacation that our Family really enjoyed. Perfect location to skiing but feels like you are in the wilderness. We saw a moose every morning while having our morning coffee. Our family enjoyed skiing, snow tubing, hiking, snowmobiling. The house itself was perfect well kept, had everything you would need. The kitchen was well equipped. And bedrooms and living place were first class.

Outstanding home that is a real backcountry getaway!

We loved our time in Backcountry Getaway. Very spacious home. Super comfortable living room furniture and a large dining room table that was perfect for family card games. We really liked the open kitchen/dining room/living room design. The entire upstairs - where all 3 bedrooms are - has brand new carpeting. We enjoyed the master bath's jetted tub. There is a large hot tub on the back patio and a lot of comfy deck furniture. Although there are several houses in the immediate "neighborhood", it feels very private. If you want a vacation with a "secluded in the mountains" with luxury feel, this is it! The house is a 15-20 minute drive from modern city/town services and the last mile to the house is a very rocky road - drive slow and a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. With that, there were no glitches in utilities, internet, etc. We had a great time!

Excellent family getaway!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The property was exactly as described! If you are looking for a secluded stay in phenomenal accommodations, I highly recommend this property! There is plenty of space to spread out and relax and a well-equipped kitchen to prepare family meals after a long day of skiing. The beds were cozy and comfortable and the in floor heating prevented the air from becoming too dry like many other places we have stayed at in the past. We enjoyed the mountain scenery all around us, fresh snow fall, and wildlife that occasionally passed by. We will certainly be staying here again in the future!

Winter Wonderland

Wow! What an experience! Tom was such a delight to communicate with and everything went so smooth checking in and out. My husband and I came to ski at Keystone Resort, but wanted something a little more private to come home to. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay, and will most definitely come back. If you are looking for good places to eat check out New Moon Cafe, Pizza 101, and Steeps (they have good coffee) on US-6. We also enjoyed traveling to neighboring towns and ate a Blue River Bistro in Breckinridge and Bistro North in Dillon. Excellent food and cocktails. Breckinridge has excellent shopping and food choices. You will not be disappointed with this perfect home. Already counting down the days to our return!

Exceeds expectations!

This home is a dream! Nestled in a secluded area with every amenity needed! Fabulous bedding and towels is always a special treat and this homeowner does not disappoint With all the right touches. Kitchen fully stocked as well. We loved the open floor plan and enjoyed great family time. We had 2 foxes visit and watch us through the windows. The hot tub with the view of the forest was a delight! We can’t wait to come back in the spring or summer.

Location, Location, location

This property is phenomenal. Tucked away in the mountains, such a cozy place to either spend all day just hanging out or a refuge to come back to after a day on the slopes. It is definitely outside of town and so worth it. Quiet and serene. Tom, the property manager was extremely helpful and responsive. We'll be coming back!

Even BETTER than expected!

Our vacation was absolutely wonderful. The house was very spacious, warm, clean and fully equipped with everything you might need. The mattresses, beddings and towels were high quality and reminded me of a 5-star hotel. The huge living space area with the open kitchen makes for wonderful family time which we enjoyed a lot of. The location is the best of at it all. Just a short 10-15 minute drive to shopping, dining and skiing, you’re away from all the hustle & bustle and totally immersed in the wonderful nature of the Rocky Mountains. Top it off with a spacious hot tub right under the stars & you’ll honestly never want to leave. Last but not least, Tom, the former owner and property manager is super friendly, helpful and will give you great recommendations for skiing, restaurants etc. This is a 10/10 property & WE DEFINITELY WILL BE BACK!

Amazing Mountain Home!

This beautiful home set in the mountains is nothing short of spectacular, in every sense. We spent an entire week at this home and could have stayed for a lifetime! Every detail (as promised) was comfortable, impeccability clean, decorated to a T and so incredibly inviting. Cozy beds, warm blankets by the fireplace, plenty of fluffy towels and the hot tub set with a mountain view looked like a postcard with the snow falling almost everyday. After spending most days skiing/snowboarding at nearby resorts, we would come back to this home, cook incredible dinners, sit by the fire or relax in the hot tub under the stars. The kitchen was stocked with any gadget you would possibly need, brand new cookware and sure to please any home cook. We met wonderful neighbors as we explored Webster Pass and the surrounding area. I booked this property through Vrbo and was contacted immediately by Tom, what a GEM! He walked us through all details and made sure our arrival, stay and departure was 100% perfect. This mountain home is officially on the map and we will be back, that is for certain.
